MIUI Global Beta problem - Xiaomi Poco F1 Guides, News, & Discussion

I recently installed the MIUI 10 Global Beta. Since then, none of my computers or operating systems detect the device in fastboot mode.
In Linux, no device file is created under /dev.
Trying to flash anything results in errors. I'm not even able to flash TWRP through fastboot. My bootloader has been unlocked.
Has anyone else come across this issue? Does anyone know any fixes?
EDIT
Turns out, this issue is also present in some other recent Xiaomi devices. Works fine with USB 2.0, the problem occurs when using USB 3.0.

This is the first time I've heard this problem.
But I assume that you installed the new system via TWRP, so why didn't you reinstall TWRP immediately before the first start?

Did you tickled usb debugging modus in developer options?

Lost TWRP and ADB/Fastboot can't see phone to sideload. What can I do?

Basically what happened was:
After updating PureNexus on my Pixel XL, I flashed the vendor image to only one slot
Booted system to find endless crash dialogs
Rebooted into recovery to find TWRP gone
Did a Full Wipe under stock recovery, hoping it'd fix things
I can now get back into system, but it's glitchy
Neither adb devices nor fastboot devices see the phone
Troubleshooting I've tried:
Plugged usb-c thumb drive into phone. It works fine, so it can't be the port
Plugged old Nexus 5X into computer. ADB and FB can see it just fine, so it can't be the cable or drivers
Plugged Pixel XL into computer. Phone charges but pulldown notification doesn't appear
I don't know what else to do. Prior to this, I was always able to see my Pixel from ADB/FB. I don't know why it's not working now. I would've thought that a "fastboot devices" from bootloader would at least work, and yet it's not. I can get into stock recovery just fine, but there don't seem to be any helpful options there.
Does anyone know what's going on or any way to remedy the situation?
NOTE: I'm on a Mac

It can be the drivers, Windows isn't going to use the same drivers as the Nexus, unless you manually select them in device manager.

But I never had a problem with the drivers before now. I've always been able to ADB my Pixel, which is how I rooted and installed TWRP originally.

Is it through the Android Studio SDK manager? I remember using that way back when to get everything set up, but I haven't really used it since then.
Actually I just remembered that Mac don't need drivers, right? Per Google:
"Note: If you're developing on Mac OS X or Linux, then you do not need to install a USB driver. Instead see Using Hardware Devices."
Update: Pulled out my Windows laptop and installed everything (drivers, Android Studio, et al) to see if I'd have better luck there.
To test, I first plugged in my working Nexus 5X. Windows immediately recognized it. Pulled up a prompt and adb devices saw the phone no problem.
Unplugged the Nexus and plugged in my Pixel XL. Nothing. No "hardware plugged in" chime, nothing listed under Device Manager, nada. Likewise, the phone itself doesn't acknowledge that it's been plugged in because there's no Android System pulldown.
If it were a driver issue, Device Manager would still at least be able to see the phone (it just wouldn't know what it was). But I'm getting absolutely nothing.
I can only assume that the problem is indeed with the phone itself. I don't know what the problem is exactly, but I know it wasn't there before all of this. Either way, this means my only hope for a fix would have to be through the phone itself. But since Stock Recovery doesn't seem to offer me many options, I have no clue what to do next.
Is there some sort of "secret" key combo or command or something that'll do a low-level format of the phone or something? I'm grasping at straws here, I know, but I honestly don't know what else there is I can do.
-------
Update 2: If I plug it in while in Bootloader, Windows recognizes that a device was connected, but as an "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"
None of the solutions I can think of (or Google) seems to work. Has anyone heard of this problem before? I'm vainly hoping there's a fix out there that I just haven't found yet.

OnePlus 7 Pro not detected by PC at all (only in EDL/MSM mode)

Hello All,
First some context:
I had recently flashed Havoc OS A10 using the installation instructions in that thread after coming from MSM Extended ROM A10, but found that none of my sensors were working and Warp Charge wasn't warp charging at full power. So I flashed persist.img for the OnePlus 7 Pro in hopes of resolving that issue, but that didn't work. So instead I decided to flash stock OOS 10.3.3. I flashed it to Slot A but could not do the same to Slot B. I don't remember what happened after that (I for sure didn't flash anything that was incompatible with my phone), but I ended up being able to use the MSMTool for OP7Pro to go back to Android 9 and losing TWRP in the process.
Now the issue:
Although I have booted normally into Android 9, my phone is not being picked up by my PC regardless if it is in normal mode or Fastboot mode. Nothing shows up in Device Manager, it doesn't even refresh or make a sound as it should when it detects a new device, even after enabling USB Debugging and cycling through the different USB Configurations within the Settings app. I've tried reinstalling drivers through the TOOL ALL IN ONE, but my phone is only detected in Device Manager as a Qualcomm device when I put it in EDL/MSM mode. I've also tried connecting it to two other PCs using 4 different USB cables to no avail.
My goal is to at least get it to be recognized by my PC when it is in Fastboot mode because I think I can recover it fully after fastbooting to TWRP or installing a Fastboot ROM. Has anyone experienced this issue before and were able to resolve it? I really hope I didn't super brick the phone as I just got it last week. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I was able to update it to OOS 10.3.4 using WiFi OTA, but the issue of no sensors and not being detected by the PC still persists. If it's useful at all I've added what I see in fastboot mode down below.
Edit 2: I'm able to use USB OTG to connect to a flash drive. It's so weird that it won't establish a connection with my PC...

This is a very strange issue but have you downloaded and installed the official USB drivers for this phone?

try cleaning out the port on the phone.

Gave the port a good couple of blasts with compressed air, but still no luck. What's weird is that it gets picked up by my computer perfectly fine while in EDL mode. Thank you for the suggestion.

I have to wait for something in the usb to time out, then it will load. Often more than a minute.
Im having a similar issue, it seems like Win 10 is having issues with the drivers or something cuz I can see my phone on the PC but cant access the storage at all.
It's working now!
Apologies for the silence, but I was able to miraculously get the phone to finally show up in ADB and Fastboot. I'm not exactly sure what triggered the fix or the order of things I did to get it to show up, but I did multiple flashes of Android 9 through the MSMTool and reinstallations of the OnePlus Drivers and ADB drivers in different orders until it eventually showed up on my computer. I flashed latest OOS 10 after that, successfully unlocked the phone, installed TWRP, flashed persist.img (for OP7Pro) to be safe, and installed Havoc OS A10. Sensors and Warp Charging are back and working as they should be. Thank you all for the replies.

MTP not working with MIUI 12

I upgraded to Miui 12 on my Mi9t and since then MTP isnt working. In developer options i already set MTp as standard, but when i plug my phone into a usb port of my PC it wont even show up in device manager. I tried different cables but still no luck. Another thing is, that fast charge issnt working with the original charger anymore but thats not a big Problem.
In TWRP it wont work either, but i want to install a custom rom and for that i have to format data due to the Encryption error. But if i format data my rom zip is gone and i cant copy it to the phone without MTP. I also tried USB-OTG and the flashdrive shows up once, but if i select a ZIP file its gone.
I dont think its a hardware problem, since this is only happening since i unlocked the bootloader and flashed MIUI 12 manually. And also Fastboot commands are working on PC which would mean, that the Port on my phone is working fine since i can flash the original MIUI with Fastboot.

Trying to downgrade from Android 12 to 11 but Pixel keeps changing the USB setting when it reboots into the bootloader

As the title implies, I'm trying to flash Android 11 to my brother's Pixel 3 because he didn't like Android 12. I've trying manually doing it with the ADB tools and with Google's browser flashing thing. The phone has USB debugging and OEM unlock on as well as the USB behavior set to File transfer as default.
It gets recognized fine at first and is able to reboot into the bootloader using command prompt and whatever Google's website does but once it is there, the phone changes the USB behavior. I hear the little sound that Windows 10 makes when you plug in and remove something and the phone is no longer present in Device Manager. Google's website also has me reselect the phone because it gets disconnected but it is no longer there to be selected. Tried doing it with my own Pixel only with the ADB tools and the same happens. Once it is in the bootloader it is not recognized. Any ideas on how I fix this?

Not sure this will help you, but why not do the firmware transfer via fastboot? All the directions are there with the firmware, you do have to unlock the bootloader, but can relock just after.
I haven't actually done this procedure going from 12 to 11. But have used it to go up, and also to go from lineage back to stock firmware.
cheers, good luck.

Fastboot disabled at all

Hello everybody, I have a Mi note 10 pro (CC pro) it is a global version, so initially I installed TWRP and start using .eu rom. everything was ok. in one opportunity I make a mistake and installed the Chinese rom so I repeated the process of installing TWRP and again everything was ok. the last month I saw in the playstore an app for miui update I tried it, but it was for Chinese roms again, I didn't realize and installed the Chinese rom, once it was installed TWRP disappeared I tried to repeat the same process of installing TWRP and flash a global rom, the surprise was that once it was with the Chinese rom it was impossible (still now) to connect the mobile in fastboot mode it was working fine with my computer previously to the Chinese rom, I tried updating drivers nothing change, I tried another mobile in my computer it works fine, I tested in another computer and nothing no one recognizes my mobile while it is on fastboot mode ( in adb it works fine) once I go to fastbook it desapear from device manager and lost the connection with the computer, I tried it even in ubuntu and nothing at all.
Finally I could go back to the global rom using EDL flash with an authorized account, but still, fastboot mode is not working at all.
I would like to go back to the custom rom but It is impossible because I can't connect the mobile with the computer in fastboot mode. ( tried even using an otg cable with another mobile and nothing works)
