Please Share your knowledge here on various methods to root VIVO v9.
i am just one step away from rooting,
that is bootloader unlocking, once i find out how to unlock bootloader, the phone will be rooted.

It dosent allow to flash even in EDL mode I tried directly with emmcdl.exe and QFIL both give me same error "unautorised tag"
It seems they have hardcoded emmc so u cant flash it directly
pls see the attached log of QFIL tool:

All methods are failed
I have tried some methods for unlocking bootloader of vivo 1723 listed below all are failed.
1. Fastboot bbk unlock_vivo
Failed(remote: unlock fail)
2. Fastboot vivo_bsp unlock_vivo
Failed(remote: check signature fail)
3. Fastboot oem unlock
Failed(remote: unlock fail)
4. King root , iroot, root genius all apps are ends with Failed.
Please help me thanks.

im not a tech genius but in my vivo v9 and in the developer options i see OEM enabler which says "allows to be bootloader unlocked"

Try unlocking other vivo smartphones, it may be similar to all at a time coz everyine from v9 are updated to funtouch os 9.0 this says a uniformity among all so try to see flashing of other vivo phones and follow the same among ur phone too.

I just unlocked the bootloader on vivo y85a（the china version v9 youth-pd1730）using https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/how-to-unlock-bootloader-vivo-phones-t3686690

I'm using this guide to unlock the bootloader.But I found noting can do after unlocked the bootloader.
Vivo add some verify in boot and recovery partition.I tried to port a twrp for y85a and flash it to recovery partition,but it cannot boot.Only "fastboot boot"can boot the twrp,and all of the partitions are report error.
i need Twrp or any custom recovery for Vivo V5
(Vivo 1601).

i tried every method for unlocking boot loader , finally i found one of the easiest method to unlock boot loader .
Step 1. Boot Vivo V9 in to edl mode
Step 2. Use Qualcomm ultimate tool for unlock boot loader ( Software is free but you have to pay for UMT dongle it will cost approximate 35$ to 45$ depends on your country )
Step 3 . After unlocking boot loader grab your os from your emmc using JTAG
Step 4 . Patch boot file with Magisk .
Step 5 . Copy Magisk patch file in to your device and boot the device .
( BBK electronics vivo official website does not have updated fun touch os file , please don't use any online file , Use your own emmc storage os file for patching magisk )

I have recently purchased a Yu Yuphoria 5010A. I thought it had cyanogen mod but found to have just Android OS.
I have searched this forum for unlocking OEM and installing recovery to install cyanogen mod. I activated allow oem unlock in developers options and then tried to unlock via fastboot . fastboot detects the device but I am unable to unlock oem as it says "remote : oem unlock not allowed " . I was able to temporary boot into cwm recovery using "fastbbot 0x2A96 boot recovery.img" but it was not able to further install the mod.
Can you help with unlock the oem and install cyanogen mod. coz all the steps mentioned in this site and others have failed.

Hii I also bought same model and also want cynogenmod os. But I don't know if its possible to flash cynogen os . but I rooted my phone an d its working perfectly. I had same problem of can't open bootloder not allowed to open bootloader. I checked the allow to open OEM in developer option. I guess this model has already unlocked bootloader cause I just rooted it even when it said can't unlock bootloader. You can try it but download stock ROM before if anything goes wrong. As I said I think the bootloader in y5010A is already unlocked. I have a rooting guide I can upload it if anyone want. You just have to check the allow OEM unlocking in developer option

download kingroot.apk and then open it( it will unlock bootloader )
and then ownload root checker basic.apk (it will verify the root access )
and then download flashify.apk (it help you to flash twrp)

I had directly flashed cm12.1 fastboot file after that i had unlocked my bootloader

Flash stock ROM first version from firmwarefile.com
Then unlock bootloader after that install twrp.
Unable to unlock bootloader
I have YU5010A model. I got stock Android with 5.1 Version. Now i am trying to unlock bootloader. with " fastboot -i 0x2A96 oem unlock" it return with error " remote oem unlock is not allowed". I want to install Custom ROM AOSP v7.1. I am unable to unlock bootloader. I am also tried by Rooting with Kingo root.
Steps : >>Recovery mode(by pressing upvol + powerbutton)
>> Install package from SD Card
>> Return error " No permision" (in root)
It just like messy. I don't know what is TWRP or CWM. Please help me...

I tried to unlock the bootloader by using these commands...
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock (not worked)
fastboot flashing unlock (not worked)
fastboot flashing unlock critical (not worked)
So now, How can I unlock the bootloader? I want to unlock the bootloader because I want to root my device with magisk using twrp.
Everytime I try to flash the TWRP recovery image file by using these commands...
fastboot boot recovery.img (not worked)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (not worked)
I failed, I also tried to directly flash the patched boot file of magisk by using the bellow command...
fastboot flash boot masgisk.img
(Note: I tried both boot_a and boot_b, none of these worked)
I once again failed...and when I tried to check if the bootloader already unlocked by using these commands...
fastboot getvar all (not worked)
fastboot oem device-info (not worked)
Upper commands returns only
OKAY [process finish time]
and I also want to mention that Fastboot and Adb both can recognize my device I also installed the usb drivers and adb drivers, Usb debugging and oem unlock is turned on.

you didn't read the whole thread, I said I want to flash twrp but not working, do you know anything about it? I know how to access bootloader mode but when I try to flash the img file it says flash is not allowed in locked device..

If Fastboot isn't working then either bootloader isn't unlocked or Fastboot isn't supported or wrong Fastboot driver used.
Did you enable the OEM unlocking option from developer option?
if not then enable it first after that boot into boot loader mode and type this command: fastboot oem unlock

anyways now I unlocked the bootloader using a very complicated (for me) method
I unlocked the bootloader using OEM key/Identifier token

After unlock bootloader we can install magisk patched file using fastboot method because I getting error when sign boot file

As of I know I need to unlock the bootloader before flashing any image file
Hello Everyone, I am using Oppo F15 CPH 2001 which is based on Mediatek MT6771V. And its come with Android 9 Pie but right now i am using Android 11. Problem is i can't unlock the bootloader i tried all kinds of ADB & Fastboot commands nothing works and my phone is not booting to fastboot mood. Well it's give me some kinds of key combination. Like some kind of binary key but i just want to unlock the bootloader so i can install GSI ROM for it but because of this problem i can't able to do that so if you guys know or if you have any idea that how am i be able to break that encryption or bypass it please let me know. Oh and i don't know if you did this or someone else did it but this site is misleading i mean when click on "Read full story" it will take you to this page but my phones problem is not resolve yet? So why on earth it's saying new trick?

Bruh can you give me the steps? Because i wanna try android 13 from dsu loader and it doesn't require root, the only prerequisite is unlocked bootloader, i tried mtkclient software to unlock bootloader but it didn't even boot into fastboot mode. How can I root my Nokia 1.4 Android 11(Go edition)
Unlock bootloader and flash magisk. Since the device is new, I recon that you will need to wait a couple of months for a guide to pop up. Or you could try your hand with generic guides on web and risk it. Either you unlock and root your device or you hard brick it. Nothing a trip to the service won't fix.

Can you tell me how to unlock bootloader please on Nokia 1.4 and root the device so that I can install twrp on it. I'm not a pro in these stuff
Just… go to dev options and enabwl oem unlocking then download platform tools on pc, boot into bootloader, and do an unlock command. Just find a generic, no-Samsung guide.

The xiaomi 13 was purchased, the Chinese version, the fastboot was unlocked, the global version ROM was installed with the bootloader closed, and now the device is stuck in the bootloader screen and does not boot on the recovery. I tried unlocking the bootloader again, but it asks for developer permission and I cannot access the device. Please help me
Try to get to the recovery or fastboot. If not possible, you could need to follow a EDL Method to flash the entire motherblard after the hard brick

I'm pretty sure that if you try to relock bootloader on a ROM that's not the original, it'll brick your phone. Sounds like it did just that.
Are you able to get the phone to fastboot mode? Does your PC recognize it, and can you successfully send commands to it?

Flashing in EDL mode on this type of device requires a Xiaomi account with special authorization.

So it is only reserved for customer and technical support. I see things change a lot during this year.

It's been like this for a few years now, which makes the phone with a locked bootloader unusable in case of theft or loss.
