I am on Pie9 stable. And today i tryed to connect to my old WiFi-router. The router is set to hide SSID, and to my supprise i cant connect to the hidden wifi-router anymore. When i show SSID then there is no problem to connect. Has anyone encounterd this before?
Look if your phone dont connect on it with 40MHZ band rather than 20MHZ

Found a solution for this problem. Add network and under advanced options you have to set hidden network to "yes".
Probably a Pie9 "feature".

Hi
I have an issue with wifi on my One S: From time to time it disconnects from wifi, and won't reconnect until I delete the network password and start from scratch. When this happens, the phone will list the network as "out of range" even if I'm right next to the router. Setting the router settings from B/G/N and WPA/WPA2 to G/N and WPA2 improved this a bit, but it still happens. This is the second One S that I'm having this issue on (my first one met an untimely death), so I'd guess this is an issue someone else than me has experienced as well. Does anyone have any tips?
The phone is running the most recent OTA stock ROM, unrooted and S-ON. The wifi router is a D-link DIR-825. Other devices (two laptops, a HTC Sensation and a Hero, an Xbox, a PS3, a Kindle) have no trouble connecting or staying connected.
Any help would be appreciated!

strange go to wifi menu advanced settings if best wifi is ticked untick! not sure if this will resolve but you are limited on an unrooted device!
Limited on a unrooted device is bullcrap!! But indeed check adv set on device
Is there much traffic of other ssid on the same channel? Use a app like wifianalyzer to check best channel to use.
Reset the 825 it will then change to the least crowded chanel, or do it manually Are u using both freq? Only set the 2.4 freq.
Also you can rename the ssid on the 825 maybe it helps.
Change to N only if all devices support it.

Hello,
I've been looking in the forum for this problem but I havent found anything.
Well, when I connect to my wifi network, it seems like there is no problem, it connects to the network with WPA2 security and shows good signal. However, the speed of the network is very slow like 2G or worse than it. When it spend a while, the wifi starts to work fine with the speed as usual.
I've tried to change to WEP security in the router, I've tried to set static IP in the phone and also i've tried to set a static leasing of dhcp in the router for the phone's mac. Nothing of this worked.
I'm on Liquid Rom, 2.15 hboot and i flashed the 1.15 radio with Temporary Installer v4.
My router is a huawei HG532ci.
I really need some help...Thanks.
Can be crowded on some channels.
Check how many ssid are on your channel.
Change channels? G/N or N only?
Try testing speeds without any/diff security
Try wifianalyzer from store.
Try ookla speed test.
Update router?

Hi everybody!
I'm using the latest build of CM11S (KTU84P), When i'm connected to my home network (using a Dlink 6740H1 router) the connection to the wireless network will stop after a few minutes.
The wireless icon will become orange and there will be no data transfer what so ever. When I'm connected to other wireless networks the phone works fine and does not disconnects.
The "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" option is checked and the "Avoid poor connections" is not checked, further more I've tried flashing franko kernel but it didn't change anything.
Other phones in the house (HTC one X) does not seem to suffer from the same problem, did anyone ran into this issue before?
Thank a lot!

*cough*
i have a similar problem with the latest rom.. KTU84Q (38R).. my wifi wont connect to my home AP.. never had this issue pre 38R.
Did you find a solution to this problem?
I have the same problem..
I am also having this problem.
I'm having the same issue with our router at work. Have you tried setting up a static IP for your home network?
problem with wifi: i connect to a network (password) and everything is ok until i go out of coverage. when i go back in area, the phone scans/finds the saved network but does not connect auto, i have to turn off/on wifi and then it connects.
on all networks, dosen't matter the router model or type of network (password or free, static/dinamic IP)
Try deleting all the saved Ap and re-add them. Seems it worked for me, now it connects to Wi-Fi. I had many saved from trips (hotels, pubs Wi-Fi with password and many free)

try change channel wifi to another
Hello all,
I just bought a Oneplus One.
But when I tried to connect to my home Wifi (which is 2,4Ghz, and no options to use 5Ghz) it didn' t saw my router.
Now I downloaded Wifi Analyser, This is showing me that I only have a connection with my router if my phone is only a few centimeter/inches away from the router.
This problem is not in my router because i have this with all the wifi connections that are using 2.4Ghz.
All the wifi connections that use 5ghz are working fine.
I've already changed the channels on my router, which didn't make any difference.
I also did a factory reset, still nothing.
I also changed the settings of my phone to only use 2,4Ghz wifi.
I set my wifi performance to his max but still only connection with my router if I hold my phone a few centimeter/inches away from it.
Does anyone have any ideas that I can try? Its really annoying that I can use wifi
Thanks for your time!
Hi,
I'm trying to connect to the 5ghz wifi network, but my mi10 pro doesn't really see this network, it only sees the 2.4ghz .
How is it possible?
Thanks

Try restarting the router
non penso che il problema dipenda dal router, altri devices possono vedere la rete 5ghz
I don't think the problem depends on the router, other devices can see the 5ghz network.
I tried to manually set channel 36, and after rebooting it sees the 5 ghz network.
But if I go to check the wifi, after a few hours, it only sees the 2.4 ghz networks, until I restart the phone.

how far are you from the router? I noticed that 5ghz has shorter range than 2ghz on my router so that might be dependent on the distance.
I tried to connect from a maximum of 1 meter from the router, and the result was the same.
I also confirm that if I restart the phone, it sees and connects to 5ghz networks even at greater distances, but after a while (about an hour) I no longer see these 5 ghz networks
