Hi guys. I am facing weird issue with Google Assitant. I am not able to toggle on setting "Access with Voice Match". I am on latest XZP FW (no root), latest Google app, language set to English (US). Thx for you help.

So I updated to Mango RTM 7720 today and then I tried to follow those instructions here: addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-enable-talking-caller-id-on-windows-phone-7-mango
On my HD7 I have the option for talking caller ID but I have no toggle button. So I can't turn it on.
Does anyone have the same issue?
I tried the search here but it didn't came up with similar threads.

Check under Speech in the settings menu. From there you can enable speech recognition over the network, speech when the phone is locked and play audio confirmations.

Go to Settings and under System, scroll to 'ease of access'. In there, enable 'Speech for phone accessibility'.
Done. The next time you get a call, the phone would say the Name or Number.

Unfortunately, this option is disabled with german language settings. (7713 and 7720)
exactly, if I switch the phone language to english it works.
hi.I have the same problem as "donots" .I selected English and I still do not appear in the menu on / off button for Talking caller ID for phone calls (Speech for phone accessibility).The problem is that we have Romania SIM and i'm in Germany (roaming) to influence it with something.

I am using the english Orange UK 7720 build (the official ROM from the carrier).
My "Speech for phone accessibility" option is there under "Ease of access" but there is no slider button to turn it on/off.
Any ideas on how to get this option to enable?
I have tried English (UK) and English (US) region settings, neither work.

i had the same problem. i could find the speech for phone accessibility in ease of access but i could not switch it on or off.
i changed my region+language settings to English (US) for both language and region and saved and restarted and it worked perfectly. i could switch the feature on or off with the slider.
then i changed region back to south africa and the speech feature still works. i can still switch it on or off. so i think its only the language that MUST be English (US). English (UK) does not work.

I am using my HTC one M8 for Windows in Europe and realized that neither voice search (holding Search-Button) nor voice output (e.g. incoming texts while on BT-headset) works. I have checked the settings versus my Lumia 920 and found no faulty settings.
Anybody having the same issues?
Has the non-availability of Cortana in the EU something to do with that?

And I seem to have found the solution. Although displayed the phone had not downloaded the relevant speech-files correctly. Checking "speech recognition language" in "speech" settings revealed the correct language was selected but not correctly downloaded. That should solve the issue.

With the Samsung keyboard anyway enable Google Voice Typing instead of the Samsung voice input you turn off the Samsung voice input it does not use Google Voice typing

OMG , Samsung Voice and S Voice is annoying . I even used Package Disabler Pro and Samsung Voice is still on keyboard even though I selected Google Voice and froze S Voice and Samsung Voice and 'yet somehow It still works

When I went to enable Google Voice integration, I got this error (instructions):
"Unfortunately, Google Voice cannot be enabled on this Sprint phone. Please contact Sprint for more details as to why this cannot be enabled."
Was anyone able to enable Google Voice integration on their Sprint HTC U11?
Due to xda's "ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages" restriction, I can't redirect you to youtube where a video of this problem is explained. SO, go to youtube and search the same error. Hopefully you will find your solution.
Same issue. Have yet to actually call Sprint. I've been tired of the flip phone era of voice mail (call in and navigate the menu for playback). Tried finding video, no dice.

Update for anyone else having same issue as us. Called Sprint to figure out issue. Apparently WiFi calling doesn't play well with G Voice. In order to enable Voice on your phone is to go into WiFi calling, turn it on off, then at the bottom select deactivate. Go back into Voice on your PC and complete integration.

Anyone have any luck setting the google assistant permanently/setting up google voice?
Google assistant won't stay set as default, even when all breeno system apps have been removed.
Got the phone yesterday and still setting everything up but under assistant options the option to access with voice match is greyed out - is that what you mean? The Google assistant app works fine.
Other issue is I am unable to use a different app for SMS but this seems to be an oppo constraint?
Other than that great phone!

I have the same issue with SMS!!, one question do you get group message!? I left a new thread under Q&A. However if you have, have you done anything with settings ?!. I use Whatsapp to text some of my friends that have the app and works great. However no everybody uses that app.

It looks like I receive group messages as a MMS just from the sender. I do not see the other recipients and therefore cannot respond to the group. Is that your experience?

I am experiencing the same issues. Voice match unable to toggle on.
Not sure if Oppo will allow a third-party sms app unfortunately, or they've made it fairly difficult to say the least :/
anyone have solution with voice match... i wonder is there anything to do with permission... it seem a lot of permission for application are disable by default and we need to spend some time to get it enable

I face the same thing. I have to keep enabling assistant every hour which sucks.
Same for me... ?
