First, I fully admit noob status here. I have this XO Tablet from vivitar and I have managed to seriously brick it. I rooted then was messing with build.prop and now it only displays the logo but does not boot. I was able to modify the generic Google USB driver and can adb just fine. I tried to push a "fixed" build.prop back to the device per a forum I found online, but keeps saying the source path does not exist. Tried to pull and get the same. Everything I have read so far simply says just reinstall the rom/update.zip from sdcard. Have spent the last two days scouring this and other forums for a copy of the rom so that I can recover. Does not seem that Vivitar provides it anywhere and in extensive crawl of the web I have not seem to find anyone else looking.
Anyone know where I can get the rom for the Vivitar XO Tablet?

Has anyone found this?
I need the xo tab rom
I have a functioning one here, (if you could call it "functional"), so if someone could tell me how to actually pull an image off the device I'd post it somewhere.
But apparently, from EVERYTHING I've seen here and elsewhere in the Android community, if you haven't already DONE something five times previously, you won't ever be able to learn how to do it...
Hey, I just got this phone and I can't find anything about it.
I really want to root, install a custom ROM, and do all that stuff but I can't find anything.
And no, this is NOT THE SMART ULTRA 6!
So many people think it's the same, it's crazy haha!
Anyway, I really want to root and install Xposed Framework, and install a new ROM if possible but I have no idea how.
Can't find absolutely nothing.
vodafone smart grand(there is no 6 at the end)
Hi I've also been trying to root this phone(vf-696),my research so far tells me its a mediatek mt6580 chipset and its running on android 5.1.1 .the device partitions look like 'emmc_p20' not the usual 'mmcblk0p7'(I've more info if you need it just ask).thanks to anyone who can help to root this phone
Not sure if you can bump this kind of threads but still haven't found anything, looking forward to get help
Please anyone, I need a stock rom, can someone with this model can create a backup that can be flashable by the stock recovery?
I am stuck on "checking connection" after unrooting,,,
Hey im very new to rooting and installing roms and custom recoveries, so normally i try to teach myself and i seem to made a mistake somehow. I first sucessfully rooted my CoolPad 5560S and i attempted to install a custom recovery, now i looked up many videos and websites and many apps and found Flashify and this is where i got confused.
i found what i assumed was to be a custom recovery but it had many files within the zip. now i didnt understand if i needed to use my laptop for this or not and i guess i messed up but only using the "recovery.img" thats in the folder and setting flashify to use that img..it shut off my phone and started it in fastboot and every since i havent been able to do anything and im not sure what to do at this point as i said earlier that im very new to this kind of stuff and i couldnt find much on my specific phone.
i really would love for some kind hearted person to help me get fastboot off my phone as i heard it may be possible but again im not sure, i regret not fully digging deeper into what i was doing and actually taking the time to look through the steps but i was so confused with all the different tutorials and stuff i ended up messing up my phone. someone please help me i would really appreciate it. Thanks

Well thank you for that but dose the zip file i am downloading have the stock recovery?
Then it would be no Problem just downloading this and adding it.
Edit: This stock firmware dose have the stock recovery dosen't it ???
Well i would also like to remove twrp because i can't find the needed zip files in order to root my device twrp failed me in that retrospect.
Plus now i am wondering what use it could have when stock recovery is not that bad actually.
Very disappointed i did all of this in hopes of rooting this phone and i voided my 1 year warranty also when i flashed it my phone was very unstable i had to wipe it.And all i got was nothing but atleast the phone still works.:good:

I have the Boost Mobile version . Sammobile is the website where you can find your firmware downloads. Check out the system called Magisk. I found it in the forums here. It rooted my phone after it was rooted I was able to install
TWRP using Odin
On how to flash a p30,
Ive spent the weekend trying to download flashing software & couldnt find one that worked, Ive never done it before.
