Update: DO NOT TRY TO PAY!!! THE GUIDE IS BADLY OUTDATED. JUST USE THE RESOURCES AND FREE METHODS.
If you want to try the paid method, you should definitely get in touch with the seller first. I don't know whether the previous sellers are active or not.
If you want to inform me of something important, please `@me`, (I missed many replies in the past years)

There seems to exist a new method: It is said to work on Qualcomm devices.
First, dump frp partion, then edit the value to 1 at 7fff0, finally, flash the modified frp image. then you can use fastboot command to unlock your phone.
This new method shall work for for ODM devices like 16T, 16x, 16xs and Note9 and so on. see FRP Method.
Below is the original post:
The original post has been removed, since it's outdated and I almost finished the English version tutorial on Github.
You can see it on github.
BTW, it's really difficult to use XDA's text editor.
You can download the TWRP of 16s here
it's a start, is there anyone who has already tried a gsi?
Good news for us Meizu users! Hope this is just a first step towards some good modding ?
Will this also work on Meizu Note 9?

A new method has been released on 4pda, which supports almost all MEIZU devices using Qualcomm Proccessor. This is the original link 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=961552&st=960#entry90949224

I tried MIUI 11 and Flyme 8 , almost everything does not work on MIUI 11, it can boot into system, but the launcher doesn't work. Almost everything works fine on Flyme, except Bluetooth and Camera
I will try to rewrite an English version
The Chinese version has been moved to wiki, I'm planning to rewrite an English version similar to the Chinese version.

Sure, the new method applies to almost all devices, all versions. You can have a look at my github repository. I will edit the original post as soon as I can post links. BTW, is there any netdisk you guys use frequently? I don't know where to put the TWRP so that you can download easily.

You can use yandex.disk or google drive.
But you say about downgrade. Does the new method ignore the firmware version ?

yes, the new method applies to almost all versions, I have not updated the original post, because I have not prepared the English Version well on Github. You can have a look at github.com/sukanka/MEIZU16S_unlock_tutorial/wiki/Guide-to-Unlock-Your-MEIZU-Device
A new tutorial has been released on github
I must post in this way, as I'm not allowed to post links now. The Tutorial is at

There seems to be custom ROMs for MEIZU 16th, I've seen Lineage, havoc, and mokee before. But i don't know how do these ROMs work. Anyway, I use 16s, not 16th. Besides, I don't know how to add a new phone category.
BTW, it's said that the kernel source of the 16 series will be released, maybe next year. And there are plans to upgrade the Android version of the 16 series.

You try another gsi rom? I want try pixel gsi or havoc, but I don't think was supported at 100%, probably lost taptic engine and other features... If have problems with this gsi and I want reinstall flyme stable, will be a problem?

No problem. If your phone becomes a brick, you can follow the unbrick tutorial to save your phone. But you are suggested to have glance at the tutorial before you go.
As reported by others, fingerprint and Mengine (taptic engine) don't work.
I am on havoc 2.9. Fingerprint mengine and mtp not work. But other features work fine
First telegram gruop for rom develop in meizu 16series: @Meizugsi
(nothing has been published yet, hopefully in the interest of some developers soon)
I'm looking to buy a cheap, but still good Android phone, and the Exynos Galaxy S7 fits the bill, but there's one small issue.
There's no LineageOS 13 roms, but I looked around, and discovered this page https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/herolte/build
It says you can only build off of a CyanogenMod 14.1 build, but that's Android 7.1.x, not 6.0.1.
Is it possible for someone like me with no experience to create something like this that doesn't exist?
A lot is possible if you want to put in the time and effort. Not sure why you need Android 6 though. Stock firmware was updated through 8.

Just want to use the CyanogenMod Theme Engine
Maybe port the features you want and not an entire OS build? Sometimes it isn't that hard to make something compile in a similar environment.
Despite development seeming dead for this device, there is hope:Phusson's GSIs. Please can anyone who uses them or tests them report beck their device vendor (EMUI 9.1/EMUI 9.0/EMUI 8.0) and which ROM gave them success/failiure. Then the best ROMs can be shared amongst everyone.
Thanks in advance
On Github I saw a user named Foxanto who reported that fingerprint worked fine on HavocOS 3.2 but wasn't working in HavocOS 3.5
why dont you just use openkirin.net?
I just visited openkirin.net for the first time. Do all of those EMUI 9 roms work if you're on EMUI 9 on the Honor 9? Why aren't these ROMs posted here on xda?
Hi.
Somebody successfully installed this GSI? If yes, is fingerprint unlock and camera working?

Openkirin didn't work on my device, ended in a boot loop that I have been struggling to fix all by myself without any kinda help from their support team save one person whose information was basically generic like you can use any recovery among all the emui 9 and 9.1 devices, which I found out to be true, but I am still stuck on a boot loop. And, no I didn't meddle with or try to install a custom ROM like TWRP.

It's a rip off phone that not many people know. I had to create a twrp, pitchblack, redwolf, cwm, orange fox recoveries for my phone. compiling from source.

RROS has plethora of features and customisations. You could try it. And if you still have free time, also check out Lineage and then pixel experience. As 1 GB ram isn't much, try sticking to the stock experience as much as possible.
And one more thing... Did you succeed in creating custom recoveries for your device?
As your device shipped with Android 8, it might support treble and if yes, try creating a custom recovery with treble support. You could then simply use GSIs without the difficulty of compiling ROMs.

So I did have a go with GSIs, and it was slightly succesful. I was only able to flash android 8.1 systems. BUT I COULD NOT, for the love of god, could not flash android 9 for my device. I ended up sticking with my resurection gsi 8.1 . But if what you're saying is true, I should be able to flash android 9 on my android 8.1 using their bootable recovery? And yes I booted into the recoveries I compiled.

Noice. Then go with compiling the latest ROMs yourself. But I believe that takes a lot of time doesn't it? By compiling them yourself, you can customise the hell out of them!
My bad, I never even tried making a ROM (so I actually know nothing about it LOL ).
And be careful, you might brick your device...

With pleasure. And hence, I'm still stuck with the old android 7.
Hey~
So its been a while since I've updated my device to android 12, build number IN2013_11_C.16
and its just buggy in basically any aspect, making the phone very annoying to use
When I was on android 11, the phone was perfect and everything worked fine.
What would be the best approach? I use banking apps and Gpay daily in my everyday life so its very important
Rolling back to android 11 - if that's possible (?) would be my best option original rom will keep the google pay and banking apps working right>?
If rolling back to previous firmware is not possible then
Using a custom rom with Gapps could work? - I think I've seen somewhere lineage os with Gmicro apps, will it work with Gpay since its not an "original" rom ?
Really appreciate the help guys, its been a few years since I've played with phones firmware and as I can see stuff' changed.
If you've never flashed a custom ROM, I would recommend you just roll back to Android 11.
Luckily, Oneplus offers an official package that let's you downgrade back to Android 11 from C.16.
THIS is the official Oneplus thread for the C.16 update. On that page, there is a .zip package you can install to rollback to Android 11. The page also includes pretty detailed instructions, pretty easy to follow.
On that forum post, look for the section "Rollback guide—via Local OTA update"
If you want to try a custom ROM though, I recommend HavocOS for Android 11, or Nameless AOSP for Android 12. Those are the best ROMs in their respective category in my opinion. AICP also looks promising it needs a few fixes but I believe in our savior semdoc
