Hi guys,
So the oneplus 5t is remaining one of the last phone for normal people which think that headphone jack is better than using an adaptor. Big problem though. It has a ridiculus low volume through the headphone jack. In the previous version of my rom (theone5tos) i only Need to change the values in the mixed path thasha.xlm file ad shown there https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/help/low-volume-headphones-t3736855/page1
But since the last update this makes no effect at all in any ways. How can i boost volume? Keep in mind that any apps such as volume boost will work.
Thanks in Advance for your help!

You can use a kernel with sound control. Personally, I'm using elementalx kernel. There's an option for headphone gain. Viper4android also has playback gain control and master gate, under which you can increase output gain
I m already using v4a and the headphone gain even setted to max doesn t work... I don t know if i want to change kernel. Now i get extremely good battery Life ( io to 2 day with 5h sot)
By the way with the sound tuning of your kernel, do you feel any volumes differences ?

Yup. The kernel sound control makes a difference. Are you using high resistance headphones? With audio mods off, my oneplus 5t can barely drive 64 ohms earbuds at high volume. I imagine anything higher would be worse.
No no i m using standard headphone. Creative 15€. The result is the same with all that headphone i ve been trying. I used to have a LG g5 before op5t and the volume and also sound quality (with no sound tuning) was much better. So i ve been kinda dissapointed when i started listen music in this phone. Thank you i will try your kernel. Do you know if is It suitable with oos based rom? 5.1.5 with treeble support (not open beta)
Funny thing is that with BT headphone the volume is much louder

Yes, elementalx kernel will work on oos based roms. render zenith kernel also has sound control and works on oos based roms
Thanks, i ve flashed elementalx and everything workshop fine but It seems that battery is draining a little bit faster than stock kernel

I get sound out of just 1 speaker at the bottom even though there are two and it should be stereo, or am i completely wrong?
When playing songs and such, I get sound out of the left speaker. Do I need to enable something?
Tia
Mine is showing the same behaviour o.o

There is only one speaker
The device has only 1 speaker. Two grills..but 1 speaker. Your phone is fine.
Oh, ok xd

Ah. Thanks.
And there is some way to improve the speaker volume?
Hey guys!
My unit stops producing sound from time to time for like a day or so. Installing new firmware or something like that doesn't seem to do the trick.
If i shut mt car off and leave it for like 4 or 5 hours it works again.
Any thoughts?
In my opinion perhaps is related to hardware issues or bad connection to the speakers. Disconnection could occur while driving with bumps or just by time due to some dilatation (by the heat) on a defective welded joint.
AFAIK The headunit has audio output cables....try to connect anything to that output is sound is there during the "strange silence" you explained.
If you get sound from output signal while not from speakers....check speakers connection or anything disconnected in the electronics.

Hi I had the same time the sound was a time, not enough turn off for 5 hours and sound był.Po uploading the firmware of joying do not have this problem, already 1 week running and everything is ok Upload to probe and see our original soft
try v7 i have had no sound/bootloop issues at all
I installed v7 and it worked for a day. Now again no sound.
So strange....
If it's hardware you would think it wouldn't fix itself again.

Vibrations and shocks during trips could make the connection to go and to come..but I agree that it is strange thing
Try with the stock clean ROm. And check

Got it working again!
There was a speaker shorting out. Took some time to find the wire but it's all good now.
Hi, I have the mate 9 pro and problem already stated in the title. The volume level is really low through BT headset. It's really annoying since I use at the gym and while running BT headset but can barely hear the music through all the ambient noise coming.
Didn't have same problem with OnePlus 3T or Nexus 6p. Now my Bose soundsport are basically useless.
And yes I tried to install any possible BT volume boost app from the store and they are no help.

Mate9(5.9) very high volume on bluetooth with plantronics m55 (higher then samsung s7)
Factory reset or reinstall firmware
Wait for next upgrade , my Bluetooth also constantly clipping when the CPU are working, weird but hopefully in the loop.

The speaker volume and headphone volume are quite low compared to my old s7 edge. Anyone know a way of boosting it? But underwhelmed by the Hi res Audi support too.....do you have to use the built in app to get hi res quality?

You need to wait to Root. If you check the Sony CrossDev forum, you'll notice custom sound solutions that increase the volume, quality of sound. Also the waterproofing causes the default loudspeaker volume to be a tad lower than other phones
It's mainly the headphone volume I've noticed. I remember having a Sony Walkman in the 80's and noticed the volume was lower than others then. Maybe it's a Sony thing, I like my music loud.

I love this phone but find the volume through my Bluetooth headphones to be a bit on the quiet side, I'd like a little more volume.
Is there anything I can do to increase it?

If you are root, install viper4android. There is an option to increase output per profile (bluetooth, speaker, headset and USB dock)

I'm not rooted but would certainly consider doing so if I knew how [emoji848].
I'll look in to it.

Could also install CleanState kernel and use the volume gain kernel settings.
