I need that a song / music identifier app that can detect songs with an altered pitch - General Questions and Answers

I've tried Shazaam, SoundHound, Genius, MusicID, MusixMatch, Google assistant, Cortana, Midomi (website), Music ID, and maybe a couple more.
It's specifically for a game where they play a song for a few seconds and you have to guess the song. The song seems to be in a different pitch (i.e., the voice sounds deeper, or the music is played out of tune, etc.).
Thanks in advanced.

Music player that actually shuffles...

I've tried to many different apps to play my music, and they all seem to have the worst "shuffle" function in the world. Anyone recommend one that won't play the same songs every 15 minutes? With 16gb of music, I'd expect to hear a lot more songs than I usually do.
I use mixzing. It shuffles perfectly fine.
I use PlayerPro is the best shuffle works great
I use an iPod shuffle ;p

An iPod what?
Power amp
+1 to poweramp
Fyi... PlayerPro seems to works great so far..
I second iPod Shuffle!!
Well with the new update to google music, it actually creates a playlist like the shuffle does, and won't repeat until it's done. Plus, you can see the actual playlist of upcoming songs.

radio station that doesn't use data?

I know it's a stupid question. But the idea I have in my head is something just like Pandora except when you're connected to WiFi it automatically downloads a preset number of songs to your phone so whenever you're connected to data you could just play the random downloaded songs right off of your phone. Is something like this around? If not someone should work on developing something like this for real.
i believe that some music apps will keep a cache of songs that you play over wifi or data available offline.
might want to investigate that route.
i think i usedthis a few times with google play music
I believe Slacker radio does this. Haven't used it for quite some time though.

Google Music does this, you can 'pin' songs, albums, or playlists and they will be downloaded to your phone so they're always available.
Oh ok. I'll check out slacker radio. & as far as Google music goes, I listen to a lot of jazz & classical & I like various types so I don't have them on my actual player. I use Poweramp for all my downloaded stuff. Will Google Music allow me to just create a jazz or classical station?
Check out Tune In radio. It may be a paid feature but you can download whole radio broadcasts from local and internet radio stations. I listen to jazz and classical as well and there are a bunch of different jazz and classical stations, all different genres, too.

Google edited my music!

Well I was listening to some of my music and Google just decided to make some of my songs the clean version. I do not understand, I play the same song on I tunes and its unedited, back to Google Music and it is still edited. WTF. Anyone have the same issue?
What? I've never heard of that... I don't really know how that is possible.
NEXUS 5
Seen someone with the same issue. They didn't realize they were cloud streaming and not listening to local files, and Google chooses whatever someone decided to upload which in some cases is the radio, or censored version.

Poweramp
Agreed Poweramp. I used to use Winamp until they closed the ability to update album art.
GoneMAD Music Player and Poweramp
Can't go wrong with either of those.
Poweramp, but note the volume output to headphones on this phone isn't very good.
Hello, here is my opinion about music player on Android:
poweramp and playerpro are 2 goods player, maybe the best ones!!!
By the way, can we skip tracks with UP and DOWN volume Buttons?
I'd usually recommend PowerAmp. However, the display of Album Art when embedded within mp3 files is broken on the S7 at the moment so you might want to hold off.

I highly recommend Google Play Music. You can upload 50.000 own songs from your computer, and you always have your all songs without any subscription. It is working well, and uses EQ, album cover...etc.
The problem with Google play music is the silly 1000 song limit in playlists.
If using Poweramp make sure that you disable the "Direct Volume Control" feature as it's buggy on the Galaxy S7/S7 edge and makes the volume sound way too low.
Also I would recommend using USB Audio App Pro along with a USB DAC or a headset with a build in DAC rather than poweramp though, as far as sound quality goes the difference is night and day.

Why for God's sake do you need a playlist more than 1000 song?

How about 3800? There are only about 1200 unique tracks in the list, but some are in the list multiple times. What I do is to take songs I like more and put them in the list multiple times. Of course, I only play that playlist shuffled... The end result is that my favorite songs play more often.
I actually use (gasp) iTunes to organize my list, and rate any song (that will go into my primary playlist) between 2 and 5 stars. 2 star songs go into the playlist once. 3 star songs go into the list twice. 4 stars gets five entries and 5 star songs get eight entries.
The end result is VERY good (for me) and I've been using this system for many, many years.
Sadly, however, it means I can't use google play music for that playlist. With S7, I have a big 128GB sdcard card, and my entire music collection on the card. I then use Samsung's music player (which works very well) for playing that big list.

Theoretically when you make thumbs-up opinion Google automates on some of the screens a preferred playlist.

With the mix of music I listen to, those automated playlists never work out. As well, they don't allow a "I like song A, but I like song B even more."
Why am I even arguing this? If a person can't see the limitations, then they probably don't apply to that person. They DO apply to me. Google play music's limitation of 1000 songs in a playlist is too restrictive for me (and for some others.)
No matter what player I use the audio quality is crappy. Compared with another phone it's just horrible

grab the latest PowerAmp alpha:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/max-mp/poweramp/poweramp-alpha-build-701-uni-release/
really great improvements to our mediocre DAC with some minor tweaks in the settings + custom volume steps!
Thanks, I'll try bu I doubt it will improve to an acceptable level. Still no excuse for such a good device to fail so badly at this.
Edit
Actually the improvement is quite big, so thanks again. Might be some placebo efect there but something is definitely better

Play music random playlists

Hi guys.
Is there a way to just find random play lists on Google music? Need some new tunes to listen too, but I don't know much music and only have about 15 songs so getting a bit repetitive.
Call me stupid, but I can't seem to find just random playlists of music.
Would like some remix, metal, hip hop ect type music, anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance
