Since I have been able to more or less reverse-engineer eRecovery, I figure I should use my solution to help people with the European edition too.
I know that right now, eRecovery is not working on the European edition, and there are no updates from B109SP02, from what I've heard.
If anyone is brave/adventurous, I can set up my DNS server to let eRecovery bring you version B122 for the variant MHA-L29C432. If there is any interest in this, please let me know in this thread.
(A note to Chinese MHA-AL00 users, take note of some bad news: It's not possible to flash these European roms onto the MHA-AL00 with European firmware yet. I can get it to download onto the device and pass security check, but the install fails due to a different partition/directory structure. I'm still somewhat working on finding a way, but it looks pretty much impossible without bootloader unlock, unfortunately)
What are the advantages? I always like to play with new fw but how tricky is this and did you notice improvements?
Thanks for your work. That would be interesting to try. I'm kind of new to the Mate9, is there something important that B122 brings?
I don't know. Nobody's installed it. But I don't think there's anything major to be gained from updating.
Ah then I will wait for an official update and not going to risk a bricked device
But big thanks for your offer to help ofcourse!
I'm tempted - would be able to give it a pop over the weekend
I allready tried to flash the MHA-L29C432B122 version but i got the message `software installation failed`right at the start. Scource http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/mate-9-fw-mha-l29-b122.804967/.
Tried applying bit failed for me too. Any way to apply with unlocked bootloader?

Yes. You are no longer able to flash UPDATE.APP with the Mate 9. I have an alternate method of flashing by hijacking Huawei's eRecovery procedure.
If you have an unlocked bootloader, you should be able to directly flash the partitions in fastboot, though.

Same here, Beta-Program as well. Just wondered why the bootloader was unlocked when I got the phone but good to know I am not the only one having this issue.
Did you also encounter problems while installing tools like AnTuTu or PC Mark by the way?
Hi everyone.
So I am in a bit of a pickle. I unlocked bootloader and rooted phone few months ago. Phone started playing up. Did not have a backup, I know, stupid me... So had to do official install stock rom straight after booting phone. Another thing to point out, I have lost my unlock bootloader code and huawei have stopped giving them out. Now when I boot in fastboot it's noted as unlocked but the other one think protection something is locked. In developer options oem unlocking is greyed out. Every fastboot command comes back as failed. Tried reflashing twrp and its result is yet again failed. Twrp has gone after the new official rom update. Root has also gone. Any ideas would be really helpful. Tried dc unlocker but it's gone, lol. Thank you everyone.
Hello everyone,
I've been doing searches for the best post for bootloader unlock g710ulm. I'm on pie, but I'd rather downgrade to Oreo. Which guide is the best/easiest to follow? I just want to twrp, magisk and then use the latest Oreo kdz.
I hope someone can give me some advice so I can finally get that bootloader unlocked. Thanks in advance, and I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe.

Hi People. I was hoping someone might be able to help me out here?
I have a realme 8 5G, (RMX3241) who's bootloader I have unlocked using https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-bootloader-unlock-on-rui-2-0-based-on-android-11-r.4286451/
Which went successful. However, I now can't update. I wouldn't necessarily care for over the air updates, particularly since on demand root sounds appealing. I have a tool with which I can extract OPF files already, so getting boot.img isn't difficult for magisk purposes. However, my phone is not receiving, or showing updates. No big deal there either, since I can download the zip from plenty places, in fact, I have one already. However, and this is where I need help. I can't seem to install the update manually? How do you guys manually update with an unlocked bootloader without data loss? If I was to relock the bootloader, would I start getting over the air updates normally, or since realme knows I unlocked it, I lost that regardless? Any pointers, please?
i earlier recovered my tablet (p11 pro 2021), i got it up and running all ok but now after I have relocked the bootloader(as not interested in installing a gsi anymore) i get this come up and then it goes to the bootloader, and thats it..
Ive tried reflashing stock firmware again but no joy, have i totally screwed the tablet up?
thanks
