Battery Beast - Xiaomi Poco F1 Guides, News, & Discussion

This is the best phone in terms of battery i have ever used. It was Redmi Note 3 previously but this thing obliterates everything I've ever used.
P. S I'm not rooted. It's Stock ROM with no mods installed. I wonder what it'll be like once it gets custom ROM's.

Battery life is a very subjective matter.
Everyone uses their phones differently,so , judging battery life between people is hard.
Yes , some ROMS are better than others.
Yes, some kernels are better than others.
It is the combination of the right ROM and kernel for you that is going to matter.
And no one can tell you what that is.
Experiment for a couple of days to see how they work.

I installed ViperS 3.1.2 (which is now available as 3.1.4) and have found that to be excellent. On stock ROM with stock battery i couldn't last a day, now have an Anker 1900 mAh with ViperS and I get 2 days worth out of it.
Hope that helps

I've just switched from Sultan's CM13 to AICP. Looks rock solid so far, and has a world of tweaks and customizations. I also switched to take use of the CM kernel branch since Sultan's uses CAF

I agree with you, that the Sultana ROM 6 is great. On the other hand, I am getting spectacular battery. Stock Sultana it was pretty good, meaning I'd lose4 -5% over night with the phone 'off', but using DS Battery saver, power use goes flat lie overnight... just flat line.
The rest of the time is 'normal', depending on what I'm doing... and still very good, as the battery will last several days of moderate use, several hours of gaming, and general 'stuff'.

How are the ROMs named here better than the CM nightlys? I'm using them since I got the phone more than a year ago.
Just curious
You can't say, if a ROM is better or worse than another ROM. Every ROM has his own taste.
Well then let's say what are your reasons for using them instead of the more "standard" CM?
I just need my phone to be stable and have a good battery life.

I can't see the point in this discussion and also not how it relates to my original question.
(The qustion beeing what ones reasons are to use a particular ROM) There is no point in posting something like "I'm using ROM xy" without naming any reasons.

fastest and lightest rom?

Hello guys
So, i recently unlocked my bootloader and right now I'm using official Miui 10.2.2.0 and I'm facing issues like laggy screen, laggy camera and app opening. And over all I'm not at all satisfied at this rom.I've used official miui 10 on my redmi 5 and it's working smooth but with my note 6 pro its a disaster. So my question is what is the fastest and lightest rom with minimum bloatware and working Gcam.
Any suggestion will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advanced.
Hail Xda ?
Ps: do I also need to install a custom kernel?
Havoc is great rom, it has gcam too.

Hallo my friend,
i use for one week now the Liquid Remix Rom....for me its the best ! i try a many custom roms in the last weeks !
-faster than Dot OS (also great Rom) or Havoc
-crDroid also very good ROM, but Liquid Remix is faster
-GCAM works fine ...i use the pixel3mod 1.1 build 61013 (79 MB)
-2 API is activated
-very good customizable
Try it and give a feedback !

I will install it within 1-2 hours. Send it at the end of the day but give me an average idea how much time you can spend on a single charge.

Like I said on the other post;
So, I'm using an app to limit charging at %85 and I connect the charger at %15-20 and here is my results;
SOT: 5 Hours
Total Time: 19 Hours
My Using Habits:
1 Hour of Browsing Web.
2 Hours of Watching Videos.
1 Hour of Whatsapp, Sms, Call etc.
1 Hour of Gaming.
In my opinion it is a good battery life because I'm only using the %65-70 of my battery (2600-2800mah)
It's mostly about how you using your phone. Some days SOT time is 6-7 even 8 but these days I'm only reading or browsing web. Playing games and watching videos effects b life time.
So, here is my battery results. I fully charged for you. And I have %25 but I have to sleep I didnt add the detailed version of which apps that I used because I'm freezing apps and it can be a wrong info.

Which custom ROM/Magisk module/kernal is best for extension of the battery life

Dear everyone,
I' ve trapped by the battery issue of my phone. I absolutely love this phone but the battery life is so weak to me. Since my last phone is Mate20p which can be used for 2 days, I feel OP7pro is an only one-day phone and even need to charge twice in a day. However, I find there are so many alternative choices for me like in terms of the kernels, ROMs, etc. I am a new here, just wanna know which project is the best for extending the battery life? Thank you guys so much. Oh, by the way, I expect these projects have not many obvious issues for daily usage.
Kind regard,

My GM1917's battery life benefitted greatly from just NoLimits Magisk mod debloat. No issues at all. Stock OOS 9.5.11 and stock kernel. Also have forced 90hz and fixed resolution to QHD+.
NoLimits + Renovate Ice + Arter79 kernel has done me wonders. ~ 10%/hr drain on screen .3-.5%/hr drain standby.
Just debloating might improve it...
