RhinoShield CrashGuard Impressions - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Accessories

Received my CrashGuard yesterday from RhinoShield.
I have it paired with the WhiteStone Dome protector and it's a perfect set up.
The bumper has no give like my previous bumpers from RhinoShield (Pixel XL, Note 7) and the buttons are super responsive. I just have to get used to not having the feel of a case near the fingerprint scanner.
They also include a back PET protector that is clear. My next step is to put the back skin I ordered from Slickwraps on my Note.
I'll post pics once I have that installed.

Mine's on the way. Really looking forward to it now! Could you post some pictures?

Just got mine to, my biggest complaint was that they were always to loose and this one fits perfectly. How are your volume buttons? The power and Bixby button have great feedback, the volume buttons seem a bit off.

Same here. Volume buttons don't have decent feedback like the other buttons do. But not an issue for me. Have been using them since my 6p, pixel XL and now note 9. Very satisfied.

Here are some pics. Volume is a little different, but may break in with use.

WhiteStone on the glass and Slickwraps on the back.
I'll also add the texture on the bumper is nice, it's not as smooth as I remember the one for the Pixel.

I have not removed the bumper since applying the skin. I did not have any issues with putting the bumper back on after I installed the skin.

Ok bro. Share with us on what will happen to the Skin if you remove the Bumper case

about volume buttons I cut with utility knife volume slit button lil bit more so they are easier to press

Galaxy S4 SPIGEN SGP Slim Armor Dual Layer Case Review

If you are a fan of SPIGEN cases, you will definitely want to check out the Slim Armor. It offers much more protection than the Bounce and Ultra Fit, while remaining slim and pocketable. It features a dual layer design that includes an inner TPU layer and an outer hard shell. Consider it SPIGEN's version of the Otterbox Commuter. It is offered in five colors and runs about $25.
wow, thank you for the review.
awesome
Such horses*** that they made the lip too small to provide any real protection for the phone if it falls on the front side.
WTF were they thinking?
Even though I got mine on a price error for $12.50 I'll probably just return it now...

I don't go through the inconvenience of a case to improve the grip of my phone. I use a case so that if I drop my phone it has side, back, AND FRONT protection so that the screen doesn't shatter... which the slim armor doesn't.

Again, it's called the "Slim Armor" for a reason. It was designed to provide a decent level of protection while staying slim. It might not be the case for you, but that doesn't make it a bad case.
Thanks for making this dude. Mine should be here tomorrow!
I just purchased their flip cover case in dark grey. It looks fantastic in photos. I can't wait to get it on my phone.

Can't wait to get it too.
To anyone who received their Slim Armor already, are you having issues with the responsiveness of the volume rocker buttons and the power button? I saw in another thread on here, someone was having issues with their buttons, and now it has me worried since I ordered 2 of these cases.
I pre ordered 3 slim armor cases from Amazon and they ship it to me yesterday!
I read today that it has issues with volume buttons!
Is this true?

Yes, all buttons work fine. They feel pretty soft, no "clicky" feeling, but they haven't missed a press yet. I have also had no issues with buttons being pressed accidentally when put in my pocket or while riding in my pocket that I've noticed either.

I have to say, one of the first things I noticed is a lack of lip. Mine is especially bad because I am using a Glas.T Slim screen protector, so there is essentially no lip at all, despite the claims on the image. Definitely one of the few downsides of this case, imo, with the other significant downside being that the polycarbonate shell, on the Soul Black variant at least, is a fingerprint magnet. Which is really unfortunate, considering the front side is very resistant from the Glas.T.
Does it get scratched? I want to get the white one but afraid it would get scratches and black marks/lines easily. Can you post pictures of its current status? Scratched or not and how many days used?

Thoughts on Spigen cases

I just placed an order for Spigen Neo Hybrid case for my HTC One m9. I was wondering if anyone has experiences with these cases on previous HTC One devices. Also any good recommendations for a tempered glass screen protector would be awesome.
I have the Spigen crystal clear Hybrid on my silver M9 and I love it , But I will be purchasing a more protective case .

It fits perfectly and looks awesome on the phone.
it protects the whole back and the sides. In addition it is a bit thicker on the top side (display), so it protects the display too, if you lay down the phone upside down.

I have the Neo Hybrid and love the hell out of it. I have the gunmetal M9 with the gunmetal case
The buttons are a bit stiffer but I still find that I hit it anyways. The location will take some time getting used to as I'm coming from the M7. BY FAR, THE BEST CASE I'VE SEEN AND FELT ON A PHONE!
Any other questions, feel free....
I got Spigen Thin Fit off ebay uk for £6.99 + delivery. It fits well and helps stop you hitting the power button by accident when you pick it up.
I have the silver M8 but got the Gunmetal one. It looks pretty good. Small lip on the left and the right. Only good for small drops directly on the back, front and sides, but very minimal.

this case is awesome its bulky and not bulky at the sametime - in fact, this case is just slightly larger than their crystal clear series, and because of the fact that this phone is still only 5", with the slight bulkiness, it actually makes the phone larger in presentation; a very good thing, the metalized buttons has very very good feedback, its easy to press (once applied on correctly) - everything fits just right! even better than their crystal clear series. - i got the black n gold. looks amazing.
@METALLICAM - the reason why you're saying the outer metalized buttons are hard to press is probably because you do not have the outer ring and the rubber case fitted correctly (this took me a few mins to figure out) because when you slap on the ring around it, it feels and looks like its "tight on" but its actually not, simply hard press/pull from the top of the phone, you'll see that the ring starts to slide-in more into the rubber mounts, and do that with the bottom speaker aswell.
I got both the Spigen Neo Hybrid and Strong-Flex cases and love them both. The strong flex is pretty thin and durable and the neo hybrid is good looking and durable also.

A little over rated. No doubt they are built to look really cool, but as far as protection goes it's not the best. Also touch wood it doesn't happen to you, but if you have any problems with it, getting through to their returns department is terrible.
Other than the after sales care, their cases are okay, but would recommend trying other brands, there's plenty available at decent prices

Just arrived Spigen Ultra Hybrid crystal clear

Extremely happy. Case fits my phone perfect. The cut outs are spot on however I wish the nexus scanner were wider however I'm sure it's something I will get use to.
The case makes the phone feel a lot more solid and not as fragile as it once did. My phone always felt like it was one drop away from being destroyed completely. Spigen did well by not adding a lot of weight to the phone and having the phones buttons cut out well but not perfect. There's not much separation between the volume up and down. It now feels like one large button. The headphone, camera, rear mic and charger are cut out clean with enough space.
The lip between the phone screen and case are perfect where I feel comfortable placing the phone on its screen side and not worry about it being scratched. The lip isn't so large that you feel this huge separation between phone and case.
9/10 imo. Hope this helps. Ask any questions you need.

There are 2 parts, the back is hard but the top, bottom, sides and corners are all softer and rubbery to absorb shock.
Tyvm! When I first saw this case I thought it was kind of ugly. It grew on me to the point I am actually looking forward to this one more than any of the others I already have.

I literally have less anxiety knowing my phone has a case now. I may contact spigen but I am not that anal. Plus I dont want to go without a case again.
Anyone know how this compares to the Ringke Fusion clear case? I thought they were exactly the same at first, but it looks like the Spigen leaves the whole visor exposed, while the Ringke only has a small cutout. I had to return my Ringke to Amazon because the TPU had a medium sized tear in the corner. I'm wondering if I should get this instead.

Out shouldn't, Spigen cases have some of the best cutouts and Ive never had any issues with it on their tough armor that I'm using now. The cutout is likely the same size as their other case which would make it ~14.45mm according to my caliper. It's the perfect size in my opinion

If they put out a Slim Armor or Neo Hybrid, I'd buy them! Their "shimmery white" color on the Nexus 6 case was amazing! It was like an iridescent white. Very cool. The Frost N6P would look so damn sexy in one like that.

Over at reddit some users are seeing that line too:
reddit.com/r/Nexus6P/comments/3sl3iu/just_got_the_spigen_ultra_hybrid_crystal_clear
Interstingly, in the reddit OP's imgur album you can clearly see that there is no crack/scratch before the case was installed. In the later photos the crack appears when the case is on the phone.
Direct link to imgur album: imgur.com/a/pLn4g
Im guessing that the tension introduced to the case when snapping it onto the phone is causing the crack to appear. However, from the few cases I've seen it seems that so far these cases have the exact same small crack at the same position, so it may could be there on purpose. Only the guys at Spigen will know for sure.
I experienced the same hairline crack and contacted Spigen's CS team. They're helpful and sent out a replacement one for me. If you're willing to deal with the short wait time, then i'd say go for it.

For those who know me, know I love love love Supcases. However this time around my feelings are conflicted. The case fits snug and all cutouts are correct. However they made the case much thicker and changed the shape of the case. The case is more of a bumper style case and it's the same size all the way around. It doesn't naturally fit in the hand like the previous model verisons. Another issue I have with the case is the buttons are flat on the side so it's hard to tell if you are pressing the volume rocker, power button, etc... Overall I've given Supcase 5/5 stars for ever case they've released, but this time I give them 3/5.. The changes they made were to different for me to continue to love this version.

What are the best cases for the red OP6?

Hi all, I bought the red OP6 a couple of weeks ago and have been using the clear case that was included. I have some mixed feelings about it, the positives for me are the raised corners to protect the screen (I just wish they would have done something similar for the camera), all buttons work perfectly and is clear to show off the amazing red color. I just have one negative issue which for me is very annoying, just at the middle in the back it sticks to the phone like if it is wet, which looks very bad, and creates the rainbow effect to the sides. So with this in mind, I am looking for a new case which hopefully doesn't have this issue.
Which would be the most recommended? And if any of you are using them please post some pics, I can´t seem to find any of the red OP6 in a case.
Thanks guys!

It's not bad at all. There are cases with higher raised edges but the case is pretty nice and does offer decent protection. The Ringke fusion is also a great option.

This case looks good! Yes, I have been eyeing the Ringke, although I have read in several posts that it scratches very easily, is this true? And dothis Orzly scratches as well?

There are little nubs on each corner of the Ringke to prevent it from hitting the desk or table when you put it down which eliminates a lot of the scratching. I used mine for a week and don't see any scratches in it. In the second to last photo the Orzly is on the left and Ringke is on the right. The last photos is the Ringke on the phone.
I have the Ringke clear also *I'm kind of a horder with cases lol* and because of the back being such a hard plastic it has grazes all over it. Dunno if its from being in the pocket with something else or whatever really. Also the cut out for the volume notch is totally off placement. I just can't find one that I'm like wow awesome atm. Although the Spigen case is pretty dam good but I have a dbrand skin on and it isn't a clear case unfortunately as you also would like. Would you consider a bumper case like Rhinoshields? I am awaiting mine to try out.

The Rhinoshield looks similar to the Orzly. I'm also a case hoarder and have 7 cases for the OP6. Every time a new one comes out that looks good I buy it. So far the Orzly is my favorite.
i dont think you should use a case on a red oneplus but no doubt the official red case is nice but my most used case if the nylon case which is so damn perfect... looks nice but also adds lots of grip and protection

Would not recommend it. I bought it, and the back doesn't sit close enough to the phone. At the camera cut-out there is about 1-2mm of space between the back of the case and the phone. If u don't have any skin on it you will scratch the back of your phone from all the dust and partials that can get through it.
Recommend these for the RED OP6. I own the first one.
# Good Quality. Fits well.
# Rubberised in and out.
# No room on the inside to cause scratches.
# Transparent Back.
# Decent lip on the front. Not the best raise, but certainly helps when flipping the phone over without having the screen touch the surface. Might be a problem for phone with a tempered glass. Check comments on Amazon for more info.

Thanks for the feedback, I too heard that the scratches in the Ringke came from evryday use and just having it in your pocket, whic is what worries me.
I do want to try the Rhinoshields bumper, I had one in my iPhone and an S7 and really liked them, but I am not sure how it would look since there is only black or white, and I think it takes away from the red phone aesthetics.
The Supcase might be the one, it looks pretty cool, except maybe for the black bumper. If ti were red or clear it would be a total winner.
Anyone has any experience with the Nillkin Nature Series? It looks nice !

@angelmex check this out might be useful. All clear back cases but with red edges could look cool:

Imo the TPU one looks dam sexy lol

Ringke sucks for the slider. Can't access it easily.

Thats very true, my ringke fusion get all scratchy and I just kept my phone in my pocket. To cover the damage of ringke i covered it with the carbon fibre skin and now it looks more like a bumper from oneplus except for the logo.
nylon case is best as for me

getting mine tomorrow! how does it fare? i usually have a military grade case and as an added security, i stick one of those ring things to hold it with finger securely.
But since it has a nylon back, i cant do that, i hope its really protective since i drop my phone alot
i might be getting a clear case in a few weeks, i feel it is cruel to hide this beautiful Red beast.
