Hello. So a friend has a mate 7 and he somehow soft bricked it. He told me that he tried to update it.
It is stock(no root, locked bootloader etc)
When i turn it on i get the rescue mode screen, saying Attention! Please update system again
Error!
Func NO : 13(FUNC_BOOT_FLASH)
Error NO : 1
I cant ender recovery mode(black screen). I can only ender Fastboot mode.
I tried to reflash recovery.img and boot.img(i got the files using huawei extractor. got them from a 4.4 rom i found),
but when i type any of these commands i get this error
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
I installed adb drivers and Hisuite.
I would unlock the bootloader, but i cant access some of the needed codes because the phone wont boot.
I also tried to force update from a sd card, but nothing happens. The phone just boots in rescue mode and just hangs there.
Any help would be apreciated. Thanks!
Ok so after some hours of googling i think the only was to unbrick it, is to unlock the bootloader and then flash via fastboot.
The problem is that there is no way to get the product id. The phone cant boot or do anything. It can only start in rescue and fastboot mode.
Any ideas?
Hi!
So an hour ago at 5 in the morning I awoke because a bright light was shining right into my eye. It was my Mate 9 which somehow decided to boot into eRecovery. I tried rebooting it but to no avail. I'm stuck in eRecovery mode.
Now, here's the kicker: My device is not rooted. I didn't install any custom roms, didn't unlock anything. It's just runs the original firmware from Huawei.
Any ideas how to fix this?
My next step would be to initiate a factory reset but honestly I'm a bit scared this might happen again.
Thanks
Maybe you pressed some keys while sleeping
Im having the same problem. Any solution to this? I previously unlocked my Mate 9, then I relocked, now I'm stuck in eRecovery and can't boot into normal mode. Any help would be really much appreciated.

Hi. The problem is that, I can't even unlock the bootloader. I have the unlock code and used that but I get the following error:
...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.018s
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Hi My phone is a Xtouch Unix (Not Unix Pro) i tried flashing TWRP and i soft bricked it. If i go to recovery mode it goes back to bootloop. If i go to fastboot mode it will give me text saying fastboot mode. i tried unlocking the bootloader but its says FAILED (remote:Unlock opertion is not allowed) is there another to unlock it. And there is normal boot mode which is back to bootloop.
so i unlocked, rooted and installed LOS on one of my classmates honor 8 a few months ago. for whatever reason he decided he wanted to go back to stock and asked me help. due to work and school i was unable to help so he came on to xda to find help.
he ended up using a guide and............... well, its all f*cked!! i dont know how but his phone is not only bootloader locked but also FRP locked.
to make things worse, the phone wont boot and it has no recovery. i have tried the vol+ and power, vol+- and power but non work. i am able to get into fastboot. i have thought of maybe sending the phone in to maybe huawei us but the phone came from ebay.
the phone was a damaged ebay win that was repaired by me. it worked great but i dont know if its possible to send to huawei for repair. anyway, i would appreciate any and all help.
You might need to reset with the /sdcard/ dload method. Check out the other forums for instructions.

It's highly unlikely that you're SOL, if you can get into the bootloader then you can flash the stock recovery. If you can flash the stock recovery, you can flash a rollback package to completely restore everything to stock.
So long as you have a working fastboot, you're fine.

ah, the thing is..... both the bootloader and FRP are locked. as i mentioned, he wanted to return to stock and followed a guide here. he doesnt remember what exactly he did as it was almost a month ago but it ended relocking the bootloader and FRP. i really feel horrible for not helping him which is why im desperate to get this working. i might just end up giving him mine.

so i tried and nothing, i get to the blue splash screen and the phone just reboots. i keep trying to unlock the bootloader but i get the same error as i posted above. shouldnt i be able to unlock the bootloader? im thinking that i have some kind of driver problem.
my pc is pretty much dead so im using my laptop and im not sure i have it set up correctly. anyway, i know oem unlock is required to unlock bootloader but is there anyway i can unlock straight from fastboot?
Try a 'fastboot oem relock' with the unlock code, then after the reboot, try unlocking again.

There are new guides on how to get volte if you want to try again.

So first you have to root. I used twrp and magisk. There are guides on how to do that you can find by searching around. Then once you do that, follow these directions, What I did was manually entered all of these setprop commands below, on the...

I believe that relock is impossible and but to make the device recovery to installed status of stock rom keeping with unlock bootloader.
Please see my post. May make it help or not.
When I try to burn rom with TWRP, img burns but it doesn't start and zip gives an error and cannot burn.
When I first burned custom ROM (unofficial AEX), it did not start, so when I deleted the data from TWRP, it seems that I deleted things that should not be erased, so even if I burn it from the zip file, with the error message in the image below I...
