Hi, does anyone know where I could find the i9000 ringtones? It seems like AT&T removed everything from the original rom to create the captivate rom.
Google zedge they have tons of ringtones and wallpapers all free
There's a Zedge app for Android too. I love it

they are all the ringtones pulled from a stock i9000 froyo rom
Pirate wins the thread for that post.
Even though most are probably aware of this, I did not know where to store the ringtones to display in my list of ringtone options.
If you create a folder on the /sd root called "ringtones", they will be displayed on the ringtone list.
(...and excellent find on the stock ringtones!!! )
I recently decided that I'd like different sounds for my various app notifications, but found that regardless as to what I set them to, they always use the default notification sound. To clarify, my apps ( gmail, twitter, facebook, etc ) all allow me to change their sounds and the settings stay put, they just simply don't use the selected sound, but rather player the default instead.
I've tried using apps that help with setting sounds, didn't help. I tried only using default system sounds vs the ones I've added via Zedge, didn't matter. I've been searching on XDA and Google, but no luck. I'm currently running v3 of the Breakneck rom on an LG Vortex and would much appreciate any help.
Update
I flashed my phone to v4 of the breakneck rom this morning, so took the opportunity to see which app(s) was causing the problem. The fresh rom prior to installing any new apps does work with a default system wide sound and different individual app sounds. I didn't encounter the problem I mentioned above until I used Zedge to set my notification sound to one of the ones that I had downloaded through it. If I uninstall Zedge and go back to using default system sounds, they work again properly. But if I use one of the downloaded sound files, even with Zedge still uninstalled, it no longer allows individual apps to have their own sounds. I even tried converting the sound files over to OGG and moving them to the system notification folder, no dice. Any ideas?
If this problem still exist in the V2.4 of the Zedge app please let us know by using "feedback" in the app.
Then we will let one of our developers to take a look at it.
(I'm a Community Manager in Zedge by the way)
Thanks!
Thank you for the reply, but I'm not 100% sure that it's Zedge's fault. A friend of mine has the same phone and is running a stock rom AND is having no trouble with his Zedge sounds. I however, am having trouble with Zedge on my custom rommed phone. I've also sent a tweet over to the rom developer to see if he'd check things on his end.
Also, I am already running v.2.4.
I plan on upgrading from my Note 3 to the Developer Note 4. I'm concerned of complaints I've read from Note 4 users that some apps aren't showing up in the Samsung Gear App Market to download due to not being approved for the Note 4, (possibly they require the dev to resubmit for approval with the new device) - is this really happening or am I wrong?
Can any of you Note 4 users please chime in on your experience with the Gear 2 so I can determine whether I want to make the jump or not?
I have a note 4 and gear 2. i can't get flesky messenger in the gear app store but that's a well known thing. Outside of that everything else works fine from what i can tell. I am not big on the gear store apps anyway.
I can confirm this; some apps I'd installed together with my Note 3, are NOT available for install on my Gear 2 in combination with my Note 4!
can any of you post specific apps that are missing for you?
I got a notification for KLWinkel a few days ago that his Multi-Watch app should work (and that's my #1 app right now).
Some other essentials I would like to make sure work:
Wearable Widgets
Smart IR lite
Toggles
Shoplist
Launchgear
LookBehind
Gearam Music ID (shazam-like music search on the gear)
I have a Verizon Note 4 and Neo 2, the only app on that list I have and confirm working is the gear music ID and it works well.

I didn't find an app named Shoplist. Wristlist was there.

Thanks for reporting back - that's very encouraging! I do use the watch when grocery shopping so that's one of my essentials. I tried wristlist, but I don't prefer it without an option to make the background black, I feel it eats up too much battery with the white backgrounds. Shoplist actually does this and has the tickboxes I like.
How can I use Google Now from the watch to take a note via voice?

I'm using wearable widgets and have google search widget installed on it. It appears that I can take voice note and it is being automatically send to me via gmail. Note 4 + S2 3g

That's awesome share with us how
There is a "wearable widgets" app in Google play store, install it. Free version allow only one widget, paid many. Next install "wearable widgets" companion app from Samsung gear store. Set up widget you like on phone (for example google search widget) and that widget (s) will be available on your watch when you open wearable widgets companion app on watch. Use scroll ring to switch between different widgets if you use paid version.

hm... but when you puch the mix on the widget you must speak in the phone beacause the mic in the watch is not active
Hi,
I figured a few days ago that when I use the vocal command to activate SVoice on the Watch, Google Now run in the same time on the phone and ear what I say in the watch mic. I haven't yet tested all the thing but maybe it will do what you want.
Is it not possible for someone to develop a google now app for the S2? I sadly can't code to save my life else I would do it myself lol but there's 3rd party apps able to add commands to google now, surely it's possible to create an app for it or maybe even port the android wear one over somehow? Be much better than S-voice.
One thing I've done with S-voice though is by using the text command, I've added my own phone number into my contacts listed as task so I can use tasker to do something when I receive a certain message from the contact task. All I do then is just ask s-voice on the S2 to send task a text message followed by what command I set up. For example I set it up so that I can say to s-voice "text task turn on light" and it will turn on my LiFX smart bulb. It's not fast at doing it being s-voice but better than nothing I guess.
It's kind of sad that "Volume up" isn't even supported by S voice. The gear S2 desperately needs Google Now voice, a sleep tracker, and official native apps for music services. The pull down screen needs an overhaul with common menu settings and bezel volume control too. I should be able to navigate my watch and phone settings with my voice. Volume, Gesture Wake up, Display Always On, Do not Disturb, Power Saving, Play, Pause, Mute, Lights with chosen intensity, and display brightness level. This should all be in the realm of possibility and should be standard in 2016 for an innovative top tier device. S voice is just holding the product line back as it is now. I dream of the day I can just talk to my devices and vehicles like a real person.
When I used to own the Galaxy Note 5 one of my absolute favorite features of the device was the Smart Select feature. You could take a screenshot or any other picture with text in it and use Smart Select to select any text in the picture and the app will convert the picture to text that can be used.
Is it possible to get this feature on the Galaxy S7? This phone is already so perfect but if someone knows how to get Smart Select enabled on the S7 then the phone would be even more perfect!
Edit: I found a Smart Select APK at APKMirror but it's an app that can't be opened once installed. So does anybody know how to use Smart Select after installing the apk on the S7?
Might be easier just having a look through the play store for "OCR" apps
I too can't find a way to run the APK. I've tried using Secure Settings via Tasker but it can't even launch activities within the APK.
I wonder how the Note7 calls the app.
