I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this one, but does anyone know of a way to transfer music and playlists from Amazon Unlimited over to the Gear S3? I don't want to sign up for (yet another) music subscription service to get Spotify support. With the Amazon Unlimited subscription, I can download music locally to my phone for offline play, but the files are DRM'd and don't show up as MP3's that could be transferred to the Gear. If you pay extra to individually buy the tracks from Amazon, you can download as MP3 and transfer to the Gear. I'm looking for a way to transfer files and playlists without having to pay extra to buy each song, over and above what I'm paying for the Unlimited subscription.

I've been looking to pay for a music subscription service for the nexus.
browsing through the marketplace, im stuck deciding between grooveshark, rhapsody, mog, and rdio. No spotify since I'm in the US. Just curious to see what you would recommend. All of them cost around $10/month and not interested in pandora, slacker as they are more radio stations that just recommend songs similar to your taste.
Im not that concerned about the social networking (lastfm/ping) and tagging aspect of these services. just want to be able to add playlists, play songs offline, and making queues. also which one has the best bitrate/quality for streaming or are they generally the same?
thanks for the suggestions!
Moved to Q&A
google up mspot
it's one of the easiest to use, and does not cache into your phone, no wasted space
but obviously, it will not work if you are in the subway, or anywhere without 3G

Mspot is awesome

i agree that mspot and audiogalaxy are great ways to upload your own music to the cloud and stream it.
but im looking more for an app that lets you "download" the song into offline mode so i wouldnt have to always rely on 3g or wifi. plus services like grooveshark and rdio allows you to basically choose any song in their collection - like a netflix for songs if you will.
im asking if anyone has used both of these or any alternatives such as rhapsody or mog and could make a comparison/recomendation? all of them cost roughly 10 bucks a month.

Google music should be launching soon and as it would be (assumedly) natively supported it might be something worth waiting to check out as I believe it would allow you to do everything you want and more (IE the ability to recognize songs you own and stream those songs as well as others)

I sure hope that google music will provide an easier way of managing and transferring music and tags to our devices. Doubletwist syncing lags for me but id still prefer that to dragging and dropping onto the sd.
I heard that Google music would just be over the air sync of the songs your currently have on your device. But i guess well just have to wait till tomorrow to find out. hopefully whatever it is, it will be released following its announcement.
Anybody know of a way to play my zune pass music onto my phone? I love my Zune HD, but it can be an inconvinence to carry it around when my phone can already play music.
Depends on the music. If some songs are protected like DRM files, then no. But if you have songs that you know aren't, just drag and drop the songs you want into your SD card.

I used to have the Zune pass and Zune HD. I gave the Zune HD to my gf, and ripped the DRM from all my Zune pass music using Tunebite (search torrents for it), and uploaded it to Google Music (I'll send you an invite if you want). This was a great solution, but it was time consuming to rip and upload my whole library to Google Music. Then every time I downloaded a new album, I'd have to rip it and upload it to the Google Music servers..gets annoying after a while.
So, I just got Spotify. It's only $10 a month and streams all the music you want to your phone. I have an unlimited data plan, so if you're on a newer plan and listen to a lot of music this might not work for you.
Push comes to shove, just use Tunebite to rip the DRM from your Zune music files and then drag and drop them onto your phone.

Awesome!
And greetings fellow Zune HD users!
Hello, There in an app called as MOG LINK --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mog.android&hl=en
You pay 10$ monthly and download unlimited music. You can download 1 or 10000000 music files in one month. They do not care.
But those files are locked. I can not play them on my PC or another music player APP on my note II
Since that I pay the 10$ fee, I want to store and play the music i downloaded on my PC too!
(or any other music player app)
Can anybody help me about this
I do not know if I allowed to share the music i downloaded here or not... If I'm please tell me, so i can upload a sample so you can try to play
( I paid for it, seriously )
Thanks!
I have noticed that a large part of my Google Play Music data is being counted out of my 3gb data plan. Is there something I need to configure within Google Music to limit its data use when not on wifi? I am not watching music videos. I have see it use nearly half a GB in a day for just music.
I am looking to replace my pandora subscription and Google Music seems like a good sub. Spotify does not send meta data to my car radio.
Thanks
Does anyone else use Google Play Music streaming with TMO?
I'm big into music, and I currently have a personal library sized at just about 4,400 total songs. I'm always subscribed to a Monthly music service, but I've been jumping around different services recently.
I need a service that handles Local Files well, and integrates them into my Library seamlessly with the music I add with my subscription.
Google Music
Spotify
Rdio
Tidal
Beats
etc..
I'm genuinely just curious:
1. Are you currently subscribed to a Music Service? If so, which?
2. Why do you prefer your current music service over others? (Or why do you prefer to not be subscribed to a music service?)
3. How long do you listen to music per day?
