HI, I tried lowering resolution to 720x1520 but notch and borders get messed up, any fix for this? I just need to try it for some days I need more battery.

I don't have the answer, however lowering res only helps battery when gaming in my testing.. And I did test a whole lot... The difference there wasn't significant either.

When I try to lower my volume a bit it will go all the way down to zero. Then when I try to go back up a little to say 50. It shoots up to 100.
Has anyone noticed this behavior?

I've noticed that the displayed volume bar doesn't always update to what the system volume is.

I do. I think this is by design maybe. If so, it is poorly implemented.

Seems to be a hardware issue affecting a good number of Surface tablets:

On my second unit and they both have screen flicker at random times. Just something to get used too?
I don't think so. I had that problem on the original Nexus 7 too, I believe, but only at low brightness levels.

I also experience some flickering problem. Are you able to solve the problem at all?

As long as the brightness is above 25% no flicker. Thats where i keep it now.
both me and my friend, we have it too
Flickering is produced by a battery optimization option. You can find it in display settings.
For me the flickering is caused by the light sensor and adaptive light.
Hi,
I have a Z3 and it happens from time to time randomly.
The screen would seems washed out in "grey" somehow...
For example,
I use the Dark theme for LINE application. Normally it would be pretty Dark Grey. But when it happens, it becomes Light Grey.
It is not only happening in just this application, but in all other application as well.
I took a screenshot of it while it's washed out. Then I took another screenshot of it while it's normal.
When I compare both of the screenshots. Both of them look EXACTLY the same... So I guess it's not a software problem but a screen hardware problem instead?
Not sure if any of you have this issue?
It's hard to explain, hope it was clear enough....
Thanks in advance!
Try to turn off X-Reality in display settings. See how it goes.
I tried it and even restarted my phone. Still the same

my guess is, it's simply the display brightness which is automatically set
Everyone has this problem I also have its software related and Sony has to fix it, it mostly happened with whatsapp and soundenhancement app in Lollipop it seemed fixed
I have the same exact problem. Turning the screen off and on fixes it temporarily. I thought it was a hardware issue at first.

Oh really? I thought it was a hardware issue as both screenshots looked exactly the same though they were suppose to be different. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm sure it's not the brightness.... I tried changing the brightness and even unchecking Auto. Still the same.

Yes that's exactly my problem! Turning screen off and on fixes it temporarily.... You thought it was a hardware issue at first? So it's actually a software issue? Have you found a fix already?

Hmmm i played with white balance, and i still get the washed out from time to time... is it really not a hardware issue?

I dont think its a hardware issue as it gets fixed after turning the screen off and on. It's definitely a software issue.
Its back in lollipop!! This is frustrating
Hi!
My screen behave strange from a few days:
- Sometimes the screen slightly flashes, I can see it especially when it's in charge and it has brightness low or very high
- The screen is slightly yellowish. I tried setting it with the nvidia tool to setup colours, but even setting temperature at maximum screen remains yellowish
- I'm experiencing burn-in which is very rare for a ips screen
- Gradient background show bands of different colour gradation.
I tried a wipe and nothing change, so I think I have to send it back. I have this device from 2 months and I never had this issues. I would like to know if someone other had these issues and what do you think it's better do.
Wrong thread, sorry.

I didn't changed anything. Suddenly I had those weird issues.
Now I returned back and I have a new one. There are still banding problems but now it's working all correctly.
Very strange how screen panel works so much different on different shield tablet k1

There is no fix you can do. You will have to get the display replaced to fix a burn-in.
Till then it is not possible.
Just display a full white background at max brightness for the first few working hours of the panel. The luminance decay is not linear but it's the most aggressive when the phone is new.
I love high brightness and doing that has prevented my last three Samsung phones from getting screen burn. You're welcome! Oh, and a black background never helps, you need less contrast, not more.
