Can y'all share some LEGIT portable wireless chargers? Preferably some with REAL fast charging.
I have ordered this one.,
QI wireless charger, 20000mAh, price around 35 US$.
Can tell you more in a couple of days, should I get in the next days (has unfortunately around 4 weeks delivery time).

got it now. Works more as OK for this price. Can charge also if the device is in the cover. The HW looks professional. QI charging with stand works only if you put the phone horizontal on the stand , but this is ok. Think was a good deal. Shippment needs 3 weeks.
After some weeks using I can say it was a very good deal. Works perfect with my Note 9 on travel. I can really highly recommend this QI charger. Use it on my business trips including powerpoint presentations in combination with an little HDMI adapter and on the evening to view Netflix videos in the hotel.
I don't want miss it anymore...
I've got to get that!
I think using the descriptor “best” is relative. What may work for one may not work for another.
Take this product:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077QRXLF6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
10000mah battery pack, usb 3 ports, qi standard. Display shows exact charge numerically. Even shows the voltage coming in and voltage going out of the ports and what the qi is sending out.
There is a led ring that shows light white when charging and dark blue when charged.
I like these so much I bought 3 for the 3 notes i have.
EDIT: does charge them with the samsung military grade case for the note 9 series as seen in the photos (may be hard to see the actual case but both units have the case on )
They look pretty cool. The light looks a little too bright though? Also, the top surface looks quite slippery?

Does look cool, I like the bright light, but I'd definitely want it to be optional, you wouldn't want that next to your bed when trying to sleep haha.
And yeah that super smooth surface does look like the phone would easily slide off, although it would be negated by a case that had some grip.
Not sure what happened, might just be a temporary thing, but it's currently unavailable?

That’s why i said not one product can be “best”.
I’m sure this is not designed to sit next to your bed at night. Its mostly aimed at people on the go /traveling.
The light ring is not bright. In a darkened room it will be noticeable, sure.
The top surface has plastic (shipping plastic). You can remove this plastic overlay as you see fit
Ive had these for about 3 weeks. I have used them 2-3 times per week (just to test on the charge times) and am very happy with the product price point and features.
You can also charge the product up whilst charging a qi enabled device (pass thru charging)
Does anyone make a car phone cradle holder with inbuilt wireless charger?
Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
Lots of people do wireless charging cradles for cars - I have an iOttie, two QiFulls and (my favourite - so good that I bought 3 of them), Samsung's own one.

Of course you are right, but for me personally is size and power (20000mah) decisive. And some small things like the vertical stand, the non slippery surface and the size (like the phone itself) seem to be thought-out....

^^^ thats why there are more options out there because not everyone has the same feature requests. I don’t particualry like portable upright chargers and the fact I have 3 of these means the 10 000mAh X3 (30000mAh? ) wlli be plenty. And if they are not, i have two portable power banks.
The product i listed here is just another option in the mix... not trying to steal thunder away from any one product..

The last thing I needed was yet another power bank (I have a couple of really hefty one - 26,800 mAh from Zendure and 30,000 mAh from iMuto - as well as a whole raft of smaller ones given away free at various trade shows), but none of them do wireless so I had to get one of these as well.
Ordered it on amazon.de and it arrived here in the UK in a couple of days. Initial impressions are favourable. It charges my Note 9 even in its Spigen Tough Armor case, and I like the ability to have the phone at an angle. It also seems to do passthrough (i.e. wireless charge the Note 9 while also being charged itself).
There's a USB-C socket for input (haven't tested whether it can also be used as an output) as well as MicroUSB in and 2 x USB A outputs.
yes, is no bad

Well, getting bogged down with semantics is a waste of time. I think most of us generally agree that when we say "best" we're implying that the product performs as expected and that it suits most of our needs/wants.
That charging pad you shared looks promising but it sucks that it's no longer available on Amazon. I hope more OEMs jump into this portable wireless charging game. We need more options, that's for sure.

I feel you on this. I'm down to two right now. One big one with enough amps to charge my laptop quick enough and a smaller Anker one for everything else. I want to replace the Anker one with a wireless one. Less cables to carry around.

Pic is straight. USB connection for charging is at the top of the phone..
for HTC Touch HD was really good.
Probably I`ll buy for SGS as well
Hope the charger is 1mA
even at 1mA it's not powerful enough to charge the battery when using the GPS
i'm looking for a 2mA car charger

Now I do like Brodit, but I may have to get my hacksaw out according to these pics.
Unless Im reading it wrong, there's a big flap of plastic obscuring the camera lens.
I like to record my car journeys you see - for the times I get into an accident with a less than honest person who invents witnesses.

that's a great idea!
i've always used a separate camera for that purpose, because i bike and drive, it's extremely important when you are on a bicycle as most car vs. bicycle goes either unreported, or car always win the debate even though it's the car's driver fault.
Off topic (but discussed in topic) I've just purchased this 2A charger http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2A-car-charge...ting_LaptopAccessories_RL&hash=item45f367d712 cheap and cheerful no holder but provide the correct power for maximum use of the device
Isn't a 2 amp charger way overkill? I have a 0.7 amp samsung charger and that charges my phone just fine while running mobile maps.
i ordered a 2 Amp charger from another source, i already have a generic phone holder that works for all phones and PDA
no, anything less than 1 Amp will not charge your phone, if you keep the screen ON, and using GPS + using Bluetooth
1 Amp will keep your battery from falling down drastically, but it is still not enough to charge the battery meanwhile all the features are ON
2 Amp is only enough to keep all those features running, and charger the battery.
that comes from experience using the HTC Athena, which is just as much of a power hog as the SGS i9000

First lets get down to the tech specs!
This monster holds a 16,000mAh with five usb ports and a flashlight
It measures in at 3.25" x 5.75" x 1" (8.26 cm x 14.6 cm x 2.54 cm)
Weighs 14.6 oz (413.9 g)
Provides 480 hours of backup power (That can keep the average smart phone charged up to a month!*)
And has for indicator leds to indicate charge level of battery.
Next, The review
Most people might be thinking this is a damn big battery, why whold I wan't this? This is one awesome battery I can plug five phones in it while it is plugged into the wall and overnight all five devices plus the battery are all fully charged! If your willing to give up a little size for the best backup battery I've every seen it is totally worth it! This battery blows away other products like the ZaggSparq 2.0. This package also includes a travel bag and a dual micro/mini usb cable. This is the must have product for any heavy smartphone user or travler.
The Virdict
This is the absolute best backup battery for the price ($79.95) and I have fallen in love with it I hope you can too!!
Wrap up
Here I have included the discription from the website and the link, I will also attach the manual.
"For power users — here is one backup battery that will charge up to six USB devices at once! The 16,000 mAh Portable Power Max includes five separate USB ports and one USB Y-cable (with dual mini & micro-USB connectors for charging 2 devices from one of the ports). This sleek-looking battery is very simple to use and provides a huge backup capacity for your iPhone, iPod, iPad, BlackBerry, Droid, and any smartphone or electronic device that connects by USB charge cable — including many digital cameras. It also has a built-in super bright LED flashlight and includes a dual voltage 110-240V wall charger for worldwide travel. Truly this is one battery that can do it all and I know you will love the convenience. I highly recommend it!" — Richard

My 3,000 extended battery lasts a day.
Only way this will last a month is if you do not use the phone at all lol
Camping idea is a good one though.
Nice thing to have sitting in glove box just in case.

Nice, I can tell you that the mAh rating is at 3.7v. It looks like a nice polished product.
This is what I'm using (Moment used for scale):
Cost me $11.99 on ebay and uses four 18650 (laptop) batteries which I got for free (I have flashlights that use them). This box has a capacity of 10,000 mAh @ 3.7v. I keep it in my backpack for charging on the go. Not nearly as nice as that other portable battery. Still it is a high capacity and is probably the best bang per $.
Btw, batteries can be charged in the box using a power adapter. Box can also be easily opened and new batteries installed so runtime is only limited to the number of batteries on hand. Box only needs to have one cell inside to work.
Price is too steep, looks nice but I'd rather have an army of extended batteries

i dont know the difference between 18650's and AA's
as far a NiMh i'm sure the internal elements doesn't matter except possibly charge rate.
maybe someone can chime in

Yeah I mean it does say 18650's but since it looks as if the case harbors AA's and the box only depletes the cells within it, than the battery type shouldn't matter. Though you're right that the charge rate may be cut down 20%, but 800mA is technically still above our phones max anyway?
It is not a AA power box. 18650's are around 2600 mAh @ 3.7V lithium cells. Each one provides 3-4x as much power as a rechargable AA NiMH cell. The box holds 4 18650 cells. This is the size difference between 18650 and AA:
If you need to use AA's I would suggest this:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/aa-aaa-batteries-usb-charger-67
It can use any USB power source to charge rechargeable AA batteries. Leave the batteries in it and it'll function just like a portable USB power pack. Just be aware that it has only 1/4 the capacity.
Nice review, definitely a spiffy product if you're on the go all the time.
Thanks flimsy for the review. Seems like a solid unit for a decent price at RichardSolo, too bad they don't ship to Oz
Cheers Walord for the tip on your unit. Just a couple of newb q's if that's cool..
The batteries you're currently using are they Trustfire (can just make out the name on the comparison pic if thats the cell you're using..) DealExtreme has protected and unprotected of the blue Trust's.. not sure what is the diff, also what is the discharge like on those cells.
Oh, do I need a special cable to connect this unit to my iphone? Think one of the guys selling this on ebay said I did, or could I use something like sku.48596 from DealExtreme (can't post link cos not upto 8 posts yet)

I use Trustfire batteries in my flashlights. There's no point in buying the protected ones, the circuit dies rather quickly and then you end up having to remove it from the battery anyways. The protection circuit is to keep you from overcharging, which is dangerous... I'd recommend checking with a voltmeter when charging Trustfire batteries in an unprotected charger and never leave them un-attended while charging.
For all who are looking for a good wireless charger, I found this on ebay. There are currently 13 active listings, and the final price including shipping comes to nearly USD 70. It is apparently from Japan, and both economic and expedited shipping options are available. [ Lowest cost incl. expedited shipping I found was 73$ ]
It has the feature of automatically sensing where your device is so that there is no "no-charging even though placed on mat" issue that some charges are having.
Here are a few youtube videos of the charger :

Yeah, unfortunately doesn't charge two devices simultaneously. I like the looks, but it does occupy a lot of volume. Not sure whether I should wait for the official one, which would be quite smaller and shouldn't face the issues other chargers are having.

Extremely likely knowing Google. But still I don't want to be stuck in a situation where they announce it immediately after receiving my brand new charger, at say 80$. ( google charger's price). It's what happened to me with the bumper, bought so many cases for it, that I decided to cancel the last one (which I had ordered an hour back before the bumpers came back online)

Unberrivable!!!!!!!
I have this charger too. I love that I can just set the phone anywhere and it charges. It even works through my TPU case.
The only downside is that when the battery is fully charged, it stops charging. That means at night it charges right away, and then when I go to get it in the morning it's down to ~85%. It wouldn't be such a big deal if the Google Now location stuff didn't suck so much juice during the night.

Just to clarify , that means it will charge in effect both devices placed on the charger? How frequently does the coil move? In effect, the charging speed is reduced to half, right? [though the amount of charge transferred in total probably remains the same].
Also, does the N4 become hot while charging?
Since i cant buy the cool Panasonic Smartphones from Japan to use here on T-mobile, I'll buy this!
Where is this manufactured? Just curious on it...hopefully not China..

I first preordered this back when it was introduced at CES this year. I loved how it propped the N4 up and I longed for one like this. I know LG has one but can only be bought in Korea for an outrageous $130 bux on fleabay.
Months later, Tylt said it was cancelling all the pre orders and people like me were a bit disappointed. Keep in mind this was a little before the orb. So then the Orb came up and most of us grabbed it up like Charlie at the Chocolate factory, but some were met with the sliding issue. That officially sucked! I personally did not experience it, but it sucks that this stuff happens.
Come 7 months or so later, Tylt came back and released a Kickstarter. Earlybirds were to get the new Tylt VU in August according to KS. So I joined in on the 49 dollar level because the 39 level was snapped up. I got an email from Tylt a few days later stating that because I was a pre-order, they will grant me the Tylt at the KS earlybird price. AWESOMESAUCE! I immediately cancelled my pledge lol. Paid for the Tylt on July 2nd and got it today, 7/9 (surprisingly fast!) at work.
I excitedly posted a few quick pics on a thread but I wanted to give a quick take on it so far, that I have had time to use it a bit.
Attached you can see that the N4 is still charging in any orientation you want, which is cool. There is a LED to let you know the status of the charger under the front lip. You cant really see it unless you literally look at it straight on, which is also good; it's not BRIGHT like other QI pads I have used and heard about. Additionally, there's NO audible beep or anything from the stand. Just your phone if you have the OGG file on your phone (when less than 95% of course).
Will it continually charge when it reaches 100%? Looks like it keeps it topped off and then stops charging but according to my widgits, the phone does report it "charging" even though the settings say otherwise. This doesn't mean it's totally off and not charging, it trickle charges back up like the orb does in my case.
Like you see in the pics, I got the boring black lol. The build quality is nice. It is quite big for a charger, but it's going to be on my night stand lol. Would I recommend it? For my price of 39bux YES. For 70 bux it'd be a hard sell for me. It's not necessarily travel worthy like the LG pad or even the Energizer one. They are flat, while this is not.
Anyways here are the pics. Any questions please feel free to ask!
Did you get an email or something saying it shipped?

Negative. I actually never got to check back on tylt.com to check for any tracking numbers. By the time I was thinking to do so, it showed up on my desk.
Go here and get your order number and billing zip code and you can get a tracking number here if it shipped. I actually ordered on 7/2 and got it yesterday 7/9. With July 4 thrown in for a holiday, I really didn't expect it so fast!

Oh so you didn't officially kick start it when all was said and done, right? I was wondering how you got an order number lol. I guess I am left waiting from KS. Damn you! I have been waiting for this since the beg of the year too haha.
It looks great!!

Noooo...I initially did, but at the 49 early bird. But because I was initially a pre-order on their site, they extended the 39 early bird price to me, which I accepted! And in turn, cancelled my pledge on KS lol. Then was told that the charger would ship within two weeks, which turned out to be three days. :good:
I mean, getting it way before the Kickstarters (kinda weird) and saving 10 bux in my case. Right place and right time I guess.
OK reporting back on a couple of days of usage and have to say it's great. I may have to eat my hat a little and say that it may be worth the cash after all because, the usage is great, props my phone up so I can quickly glance in the room to see if there's a notification I have missed if I am not wearing my Pebble, and quickly see who's calling. Not to mention the ability to just grab and drop my phone on it willy-lilly lol. No fuss no muss, no aligning it in anyway.
This looks great! Wish I had seen it while it was cheaper. If I hadn't just switched jobs, this would be on the way to my house.
Its expensive, though i think its the best qi charger out there. I want one! I hope they put them on amazon or offer some other ways to buy them

Not sure but it's output is 5W.
I'm sure it will work with the Flo, right?

Er...what's Flo? Oh the new N7? I would assume so.
I'm pretty happy with mine. It does seem to charge a bit slower and it is noticeably warmer (charging while in TPU case) but likely nothing to worry about. I wouldn't leave open anything intensive while it's charging for prolonged periods though, as the charge rate would be very slow and the device would heat up.
The stand does like to slide around on my desk though. Any thoughts on better securing it?

Mine charges pretty fast. It charges slower when the device is below 30% and charges and gets the phone pretty warm. Sometimes I need to reboot to let it go again. I never have to do that with my orb charger though.
As for securing it. You can try adding some rubber feet on the contact points. You can probably get them at a craft store or even home depot. Some self adhesive stubs. Or you can put a rubber mousepad and set it on top of that lol.

I think I got the answer for you!!!
http://www.tylt.com/faq/#vu
Q: How long does it take to charge my phone with the VU?
A: The VU is designed to provide as much power as your standard USB charger (1 Amp) and will charge as fast as your USB charger as long as your phone is designed to accept that much power.
Can you give us a photo of the power adapter (the end that plugs in to the VU itself)?
I'm curious if it's a generic one you could get your own adapter for.
I've just ordered one to be shipped to Aus, and would ideally like to avoid the need for an international adapter =)

I am lovin' this Choetech desk charger. Choetech had emailed me after seeing me post here on XDA, offering me a 70% off discount code in order for me to review it objectively. I would never be extra favorable about an object because I received it for free or at a discount. If it sucks I will say so, and why.
Contents: Comes with the unit itself, a single well made Choetech USB cable (note: not USB-C), a very short power cable, and a stand that it sits in to stand upright.
Build Quality: Seems fairly well made, feels nice to the touch. The back has an interesting texture that's different than the rest of the body. It's apparently fireproof. 5/5
Ports: They slide in and out well, they don't feel cheap or fragile. 5/5
Packaging: Comes in a thin cardboard box, with a shiny cardboard cover. Not too bad. Not great. There are 2 twist ties and a power plug plastic cover left over (going in the trash). These items serve no purpose other than to signify the object is in "new retail condition". I would prefer even more eco friendly packaging, like the company Ringke uses, using only a toxic free, biodegradable plastic bag instead. I know it's not as "attractive" but environmental responsibility is more important in 2016, especially for small electronics that sell thousands and thousands of units. Doing okay here, definitely room for improvement. 3/5
Function: I charged my LG G5 with a USB-C cable, an extra LG G5 battery, my Galaxy S5 with it's cable, my USB chargeable vaporizer pen battery, and an external battery pack. Charges fast and had no issues. Everything works and works well. 5/5
Conclusion: Charges everything well, no issues with it. Power cord could be longer was my only criticism so far. I am happy with this product. Overall 4/5
Disclaimer: "I received this product for free (or at a promotional discount) in exchange for my honest review".
I am currently using this charger all the time and if anything occurs to change my opinion of it I will update the review.

Loving it.
So before i received my Choetech 50W 6 port QC3 charger I was using a Aukey 5 port charger. When i opened the Choetech charger i was slightly dissapointed that it didn't have that hefty feel that the Aukey has, but that dissappointment was quickly set aside and I realized that the size and feel was perfect. I now prefer the Choetech charger to the Aukey.
Here are a few things that swayed me:
1. it comes with a usb cable: I can not tell you how nice that is. its not something i would take points off for, but it make it a complete package ( yes, I know we all have like 10000 of them, but we can always use more)
2. it actually stands up, with the included stand i had no trouble getting the charger to stand on its side. This historically has been an issue with chargers i have seen like this as the power cable "tilts" the charger back and it never really wants to sit up. Which is why initially i was hoping for a "heftier" product. but the Choetech charger has no trouble actually staying on it's side and in place without the power cable dictating it's orientation.
3. The QC charging works well, it chooses the appropriate charging mode for all of my devices, QC2 for my LG G4, and S6, QC3 for my LG G5 and just regular charging for my battery dock. It's nice when a thing does what it says it will do
4. The indicator light: Nice feature , as i never know if my Aukey is working. The Choetech charger has a nice light that is not obnoxious. I currently have it on my night stand and its not too bright that it keeps me awake.
5. 6 ports of awesome- Nice to be able to charge all my devices.
I agree with the OP: basically this thing is a 5/5, It does what it says, and some nice thoughts were put into the design. It surpasses the current charger I was using, and handles everything i have thrown at it.
I'm not going to post pictures here as the OP did a great job with his, but if you have any questions, or what to see a specific view let me know.

Disclaimer: I did receive this at a discount for reviewing the product, but that has in no way swayed my thoughts.
I got the Cheotech 6-port station as well, and I can objectively say, pound for pound, the charging solution I truly needed. Just like @kchannel9 said, the charging cable should be longer, because it limits the accessibility. That's of course outweighed by the sheer ease this station has brought. Here are some benefits I've found in it:
1) It has 6-ports, two of which have Quick Charge 3.0
I have two G5s, S7, and two iPhone 6s Plus', so I have ports for all of them
2) Its compact, so I can put it the corner of my desk, and the kids don't see it, so no tampering
3) Powerful but safe. I am an adjuster, so I hear plenty of horror stories about fire losses involving charging devices. This station has been plugged in since purchase and it hasn't even gotten at least warm. That's relieving to me.

Yes! The same thing happened to me! I was asked to review it as well which was a first on Amazon for me. And I love the thing!
I've been wanting a device like this for a while but couldn't find one that didn't seem to have "issues". While I've not been able to test the quick charge 3.0 I've charged multiplier devices and tested it with my USB voltage/amperage tester. It was charging my windows tablet and my OPO together at the same time, and here's my favorite thing... It doesn't get hot! Honestly it barely gets warm. Awesome. It's built very solid feeling, like strong good quality plastic, doesn't feel like crap.
It also feels like the back of the 2nd gen Nexus 7 but even smoother, which is fun to touch
I highly recommend this thing! Had it... A week now I think with zero issues
I received this item at a discount as well and am very impressed with it. It charges all of my devices just as quickly as my stock chargers without tying up all my outlets, so I love it and the convenience it offers. I'd never heard of Choetech before, but they've earned a lifetime customer.

This is the device I am using now to charge all my devices, Lg G5, S7 Edge, 2 ipads and kids tablet, here is what I like about this multicharging unit:
*
·*********Really fast in charging the LG G5 and S7 with almost same speed as the original OEM chargers if not slightly faster.
·*********No overheating in either the charger nor the devices even when charging all devices together.
·*********It is my favorable travel charger (All in one) in a single gadget.
·*********Size is good.
·*********Power cable is ok for home use as my setup is near the plug, yet in travelling needs a longer cable.
I received it for a discounted rate to review, it’s not my first item from Choetech brand, I had a wireless charging pad before for my Lg G3 and doing very well till now.

I received this desk charger a few weeks ago and I must say it is very good quality product I use every day. The product was packaged very nicely with a power cable and a micro USB cable. This is top notch built and just speaks how premium Choetech quality is. I used all ports and they all properly power all my devices. Haven't had any issues with any of the USB ports.
