I tried stock, custom roms and also I tried PUBG Lite. The game is opening and updating and after the update game crashes, I allow for permissions, I tried GLTools and other graphic fix packages for PUBG and non of them is fixed my problem. I am trying 'cause just one time I had played and I believe there must be a solution for this.
Edit: I also tried to change my screen resolution, but I still think the problem maybe the resolution 'cause with the edge panel this phone has more pixels than normal 2K resolution phones.
If there is anyone to fixed about this or anyone to say about this, please tell me.
I have no problem with PUBG before hmm...

Hey guys.
I am having a very weird issue with ZombieSmash and I could use some help.
When I start the game, it loads up using the phone version of the game. I can tell this by the loading screen and the menus. I also have an Asus tf300 to compare. This would be fine, if not for the strange issue;
The kindle stretches the game too much and cuts off the right side of the screen. You can't see the entire game... only about two-thirds of it. Not only this, but the touch inputs are way off because of the stretching.
I tried to hide the status bar... didn't fix the problem.
I also tried to change the pixel density to something higher, but that just causes the systemUI to force close.
I'm running the latest version of gedeROM.
Anyone have an idea what to try next? Is there any way to force it to load the tablet version?
Has anyone tried the game to see if they have the same issue?

after the last security update (plus some bugfix I think) to G930FXXU1DQEI sw version, brand Vodafone, I'm facing the following issues on my S7 flat:
A wrong background shape for some popups and a strange black spot on the selector , only in google now settings. Please check the attached pictures
I already tried to fix them by recovery with an hard reset without success.

Definitely odd
I would flash (odin) firmware again , use home-csc ( same CSC that is in your phone right now) so you do not loose any data
After some attempts I can say this issue happens moving the screen resolution from FHD to HD.
I flashed the rom by Odin and worked fine, at the beginning.
After the screen resolution mod the issue is still there.
Moving the resolution to FHD again and switch off/on the issue is not present.

I can confirm this is a bug, to be honest I don't know if it was present in the previous build. I tried to reproduce on another S7 (brand tim) and it is present.
Basically the steps to reproduce this issue are:
Change the screen resolution to HD and restart the phone. Uninstall an app and check the text box shape.
Probably you will find other problem in google now search bar or settings
To fix this issue move from HD to FHD.
Have anyone else been getting a "Camera fatal error" message with the camera app crashing repeatedly, also saying "can't connect to camera device". I have reset the phone and setup as new, deleted the app cache and data. So far nothing helps. It's random, I can't replicate it with specific action but it's super annoying. Yesterday the camera app crashed about 5 times in a row before it got usable again.
there is multiple people reporting this at other sites - so far no resolution, even on google support forum. Do you think it's a defective hardware or something that can be fixed with next update? I really like the pictures from the phone and how super smooth it is when working but the entire system is half baked. Many features not working or different apps crashing. this is my first google phone and I am quite surprised to have some many software issues as I thought google is firstly software company.
Yes it happens to me often as well. I think it's a common problem especially if you use the camera frequently.
That's the first I've heard of this and even read about it on the web. I use my camera a lot and so doubt it's to do with usage.

I am getting this problem as well. Also on occasion, I get purple bars across the image. After much frustration and a system wipe, it was still happening so Google sent me a replacement.
Video camera has crashed twice for me in the month I've had the camera.
ME TOO! Problem is reduced if resolution is reduced to 4K. Also Camera FV-5 doesn't crash - problem is app not hardware.

Reduced to 4K? That's the highest resolution.
Original setting was 12 Meg per image, I reduced to 7.7 and for a while that worked better, then that stopped, I set the resolution back to 12 and since then it has been working fine and quick.

It's difficult to tell if that sort of change made a difference or if the problem is just random.
I'm currently on build 47.1.A.12.34 Oreo 8.0.
Occasionally and randomly, my xzp just keeps getting micro stutters (e.g. Scrolling is not smooth, screen transitions are not smooth) every few seconds. It's actually very annoying as a user to see it switch from smooth to stuttery every few seconds.
Anyone else experiencing this?

yes I am, i thought its due to the 4k mod (too much to bare) but i dont really know maybe if youre on 4k, could be the problem i guess
Trying opening up developer menu and turning the animation speed up for faster animation
I have the same problem whit xzp. I asked on Italian Sony community and there are few person whit this problem. I guess than is a hardware issue.

I use to have this problem until I unlocked my bootloader and ran Turbo ROM. No more problems for me. Dunno if you wanna go that route
The problem is google play Services. Just did a factory reset and didn't allow g. P. S. To UPDATE and was smooth. I think google does this with intention.... Scrolling in chrome, facebook and other apps is a nightmare
The problem was google play services and play store, they are both updating very fast when you first open the device as new. Disabling them is the key.
Now I am trying to see which version from apk mirror works...
For me the issue was rezolved by doing this:
1. Clean fix with XC
2. Disable Play Store and Google Play Services
3. Install both from apk mirror, latest versions, arm64 android 8, 320 dpi (it will reenable auto)
4. Disable in Chrome/flags some stuff regarding scrolling.
The problem is back! Either Sony changed default cpu governor settings with the new update which makes it even laggier, either google is doing the dirty job with play services or other software.
This phone was a rocket and now it feels like crap.

I recently installed a Santa Rockstar Tournament Edition, because the old one doesn't work at all, not even on my previous device. Even the new version doesn't run out of the box, needed to manually set permissions in the settings. But now that you know how to set it up on your own, here's my issue:
The audio comes to way early... yes no joke, never thought this could be an Android issue, which is plagued by to much latency. I installed the soundbrenner metronome and in the settings LEDs and click were 100% in time, no adjusting needed. The game sadly doesn't come with calibration settings, so is there an App that can delay audio system wide without root?
Edit: Just installed that on my old Axon 7 to double check, and the game audio is in sync there.
Edit 2: Looks like it was a frame rate issue... locking the game to 60FPS fixed everything.
I had the exactly same problem but change the frame rate don't do anything better
