actually excited for this, as I miss seeing traffic/weather as a notification on my watch to help me with my morning/evening commute.
I am really excited for this release also, I just hope it doesn't take an extra two weeks to "roll out" to everyone. :fingers-crossed:

I believe so: https://9to5google.com/2018/03/15/google-wear-os-smartwatches-update-list/
basically, all watches except for the original Moto 360 (anything currently running 2.0)
This article is from March. Is it the same update?

where did you get March from? the URL clearly has "2018/08/29" in it. now, if the article was simply a re-post, I don't know. but it appears to be recent.
The March is from the second link:

Seems there's a little update with security patch https://www.reddit.com/r/WearOS/comments/9ikcfg/wear_os_216_updated_not_the_watch_version_yet/
And that the newest will be released not before next month https://twitter.com/WearOSbyGoogle/status/1040292650061053952
Thing is, I still have March security update while people have August. There's something wrong.
Same here. Still security updates March 1st
Wear OS 1.6 has arrived by Play Store on the watch. Seems a little faster; only news: better notification management on the companion app.
New UI still has to arrive.

Yes, it's true.
They took almost one month for an 80 MB update, and today, 20 May, it's not released for all users but only for a bit of them.
It's really...normal .
Enjoy your update
So what?
Xiaomi is cheating on us. This is really bullsh*t, it is Android One phone and should get NEWEST android ASAP. Im starting to hate Xiaomi.

It is no crap, unless you show me a contract you signed in which it says they have to Release it in x months after it is publicly available.
Or show me a device starting with nougat which already has it.
Other than that people would complain if it has bugs. With Samsung, the note 8 hasn't even got 8.0 yet because it is too buggy.
So basically your post is bulls*** as we almost always get our security updates in the same month. Galaxy s9 is still on February afaik. Besides that 8.1 is still Oreo and not really worth that much anyway. Then again if it helps yourself with whining keep going but don't annoy others with it
Well it is kinda the point of Andoid One to always be up to date. Without all the manufacturer crap this should really be faster.

Nope.
The point of Android One is to have an android version closer to the specifications of Google, meaning zero or very little customization from the manufacturer.
Has nothing to do with updates. If you want updates, buy a Pixel.
Most devices are abandoned even before they are available to buy, and you complain because you have May update in... May?
What are you going to do with 8.1 that's so important? Besides, it's coming! We already have a beta for it. So what's the big deal?
Go buy a Motorola phone and enjoy 0 updates.

Each update that comes just changes Build No. And security patch date, you can't feel any changes expect that. Whats the point of such updates, they Fu*king just don't release a changelog, so only they the the changes they did.
I had moto G3, it had got 6.0.1 and got security patch till April 17, i don't know which Moto phone you are talking about.

Nope, i didn't mean that. Their are few bugs left you can find them on Forum, but they don't fix them first, secondly they adda new bugs, like the charging time has increased after April Patch by atleast 30-40 mins. Xiaomi just fails when it comes to answer question relating to updates ,features and anything, they just don't reply to them, with even a simple NO.
If any of you went to android one program webpage and actually read of it, there wouldn't be any stupid discussions.
It should have 8.1 few months ago already. Meanwhile were getting stupid security patches and nothing else.

About the charging time, I fail to see how an update could do that, or they changed something in the kernel (which I highly doubt). Seems to me like a hardware matter

The security patches are also legit or not thats big question. Who know's we possibly are getting updates with build number changed only?
You want fast updates? Buy a Pixel!
Xiaomi is known for it´s great specs/ price relation but it´s terrible in the update department, this varying given model x or y. As for our Mi A1, yes, updates are a little slow but still on time .

I had a Moto G³ too. I've always used custom ROMs with it. It was amazing but stock really sucked.
Xiaomi has the worst community in the world, no doubt.
Anyway, seems like the pre-oreo update, less than 100mb and after 3/4 days Oreo was released.
I bought pixel 2 from Germany anybody now why I don't get October update??
If you had previously been on the Android 9 beta programme you need to sign out of that before you will get the update.
Stupid, I know: you are already on the official Android 9 release, and the next beta will have its own programme (it won't roll over automatically), so there's no reason why you can't just get the update and no reason for Google to leave people enrolled. Nevertheless you remain on that beta programme until you do sign out and many people have reported not getting the October update until they sign out (even though they got the September one). I guess it's just an example of Google's carelessness.

So, looks like no more dessert names for Android... I kind of liked it, it made them stand out. Whatever. So, last year Pie was released the same day it was named, sooo, hoping it gets released today! It's definitely imminent either way.

Android 10 release date confirmed: Here's when Google will release it to Pixel phones
I tried the latest beta earlier and when I was lookong around the Google play services was showing as 1st September. Security was 1st of August.
Being a nosey sod I pressed it for more info and it said there was an update. Downloaded a small update and then was back to 1st of August. Kept saying there was still an update but that failed.
Could be the bods getting ready for the new updates maybe? But never seen the play services with its own entry before.

Meh, I would take this with a grain of salt. Google chat reps seriously don't know what they're talking about most of the time. They don't even have the means to help with much either. Also, the fact that he or she said that it would be Android Q really shoots it down for me. I mean, who knows. I'm betting on this week or next anyway.
Some new information regarding Android 10/Q which would have been Android Queen Cake if Google would have stuck with the dessert names ?.. and also the future of Android with Android lead engineer Dave Burke and another lead developer

It may note release on September 3rd. Here's why. Both Telus and Rogers first listed Android Q for September 3rd release (probably based on the rumor), but both have removed that now.

Late is better than never, which is the case for the vast majority of phones many of which are newer than the X4.
Does anyone know if the FI/AndroidOne version for sept. has be released? Can't find in my usual locations.
Noticed on the Lolinet site that the RETUS releases has "PPWS29.69-40-3-1" uploaded on 10/3. Seems like a newer build just going by the naming scheme?

I got the update today as well, which came as a surprise. I was wondering the same thing regarding some urgent fix.
Maybe they are trying to appease the masses over not getting Android 10 by providing faster security updates. I feel like they wiggled out of providing the upgrade. Technically speaking from a calendar standpoint, the Android 10 release was within the 2 year OS upgrade path when looking at the release date of the phone. Rant over. Time to look towards custom ROMs.
