Ever since I got my OnePlus 6 i have been having a problem with the play store showing download pending with nothing actually downloading. I have followed instructions online such as force stopping and clearing the cache and data for play store, play services, downloads and download manager. I have also deleted and re added my google account but nothing solves this apart from doing a factory reset which I have had to do 6 or 7 times in a couple while with my old HTC 10 I had to do it once in two years. Have about of you had this issue with your OnePlus 6 and how did you resolve it?

I've updated play store and down graded. Sometimes it works but I still end up up having to reset in the end.

It has happened to me also, only thing which helps is toggling between wifi and data, but it doesn't happen very often.

At least its not just me then
Funny how it seems to load all the categories ok though but just will not let you search for an app
Seems ok also if you go to paid/free apps section select an app and you can download and install from there fine, just no search
Also seems a little slow to load anything to me also
I've got the same issue on my nexus 4

Yea, don't have a nexus 5, but i had to share. I just re-rooted my s3 like 30 min ago....and this happened, and I was like "F*CK" what did I do wrong
http://downdetector.com/status/google-play
Happening to me on my 2012 stock nonrooted Nexus 7 and my S-Off but stock Verizon HTC ONE on both 4g lte and wifi. Seems to be a problem with google's servers.
Same here time out error
Same on my xperia play. Definitely a play store issue

Hello everyone,
I always follow this rule when I buy a new device. I use the stock rom/kernel without root for the first 2-3 weeks just so that there's no hardware error popping up and also because I want to have that clean stock experience with each device I own. After I feel the time is right, I root it and then keep on flashing every now and then. So ATM, I'm fully stock!
I've been experiencing this particular problem/error while installing apps from the Play Store : Unknown error code during application install: -24
I have faced this error 3 times till now and sadly all of them have popped up while installing "PAID" apps.
Till now it has occurred with
1. Nova Launcher Prime
2. WiFi File Transfer Pro
3. Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour

I couldn't even get a refund on the first two apps as the 15 minutes window had passed while I was searching for a fix. I like to support the devs but this is really irritating!
I've literally searched for hours finding a solution for this and the only thing which I get is : FACTORY RESET.
If you're rooted, then you can delete the package from /data/app/ or /data/data/ and solve it within few seconds. However, if you're unrooted, you're only left with Factory Reset.
I am currently on ART and I have tried shifting to dalvic but that doesn't solve the problem. I was using a HTC One X (4.2.2) previously and I have never faced this problem even once. So I'm beginning to think it's a KitKat related issue?
I have already performed a factory reset twice and I really don't find it a viable option now. I guess it's time to root now and begin flashing!? :cyclops:
If you guys have any info/solution regarding this problem, please share!
Thank you for your time!
It happens randomly. Have you tried deleting your Google account and adding it back? Fixes it for me every time this happens (and it's not a KitKat related issue)

I face the same problem with modern combat 4. I tried to delete my Google account and added it back, but I still get the "unknown error during application install -24"..

Thanks for the suggestion. However, it didn't solve the issue.
I know it happens randomly and I may have been extremely unlucky to face this issue 3 times in a month!
PS: There are tons of people who don't root their phones, so each time something like this happens we have to wipe it completely?
It seems to me doing a wipe is your only option :/

I'll wait for a few days and see whether I can find any alternative, if not, flash a custom rom... Fedup with stock(unrooted) because of this stupid issue.
Hey guys,
For about two days now, ever since I updated my Nexus 5 (running on T-Mobile) to 4.4.3 using the OTA, Google Hangouts is failing to send texts in phases. For one hour or so it'll fail every other text until I resend it, then after that it works for a few hours again perfectly fine, then back to failing some.
I'm going to try using Evolve SMS for a bit to see if it happens there, but something tells me this isn't Hangouts' fault.
I am rooted and have a custom recovery, but it's been that way for months (Before 4.4.3 update) and I doubt would affect it.
Thanks,
David
Try cheating the cache in hangouts. If that doesn't work uninstall it, reboot, and then reinstall it from play store

I'll do that, I just cleared my cache/dalvik too. Unfortunately Hangouts is hardwired into stock so I can only uninstall updates, but if it acts up again I'll try that.

I do, although I'll use that as a last resort at the moment haha. Still think it's a more widespread-than hangouts problem.
Update: Switched to Evolve SMS, still happening x.x
I was also having this issue using Chompsms. Reverted back to 4.4.2 and the issue is gone. Also on T-Mobile

I think it was with T-Mo in my area. My friend was on Nexus 5 stock 4.4.2 and having the problem, it's since gone.
Tldr: Issue resolved itself, was likely T-Mobile's side
another problem with my S8+ is it won't play Twitter videos when I press on the Play button it just shows me a still picture!!, anyone knows a fix?
Mine is working correctly. What have you tried so far to fix it?

I cleared the Twitter app cache but still won't play the videos, only sometimes it will, most times just a still picture!
Have you tried clearing the data and then signing in again?

Let us know the results. If that doesn't work maybe 3rd party Twitter is in order lol. Fenix looks pretty good.

Any updated? I have the same issue. Seems that videos won't play on wifi but will play on mobile data. Crap, the opposite of what I want to happen.
i have same problem
I cleared the Twitter app cache and data and started fresh now videos play, if I disable the auto play videos in Twitter settings it might stop playing so I'll just keep it auto playing!
Hopefully that's all that is needed. Best of luck. Maybe Twitter needs a little tweak.

Hi, got my Pixel 2 today and immediately put on screen protector and case, then set it up. Hooked to my Nexus 6 wifi tether and went into Play store to update apps and it says Pending forever. I tried playing with settings, set all permissions on the play store and I don't know what is causing this issue? The same thing happened to me when I tried the Note 8, ended up returning that device. can anyone help me?

Try going into app settings, force close, clear data, and go back and try again.
