I have Skinomi. I really like it but I think I over stretched it when I installed it. I can see "stretch marks" underneath the skin protector. I'm not sure if its caused over stretching or squeezing as I tried to clean the bubbles.

I've been really impressed with the Skinomi protector. The cut-outs are spot on and orange peel is at a minimum. Other protectors with cut-outs for the front facing camera and sensors tend to cut out a portion of the protector rather than having actual holes punched out so that the chances of the edges lifting increases. The Skinomi actually punches out holes in the protector giving the impression of a more finished look. You wouldn't think that there is anything on the screen itself unless you look around the edges and see the ends of the protector tracing the edge of the screen Speaking of the edges, I am really impressed how the skinomi is able to follow the curvature of the screen without lifting. I have had the screen protector on since I received the phone in late November and I have the official bumper on. Scratches and indentations do take a while to clear up, but with the screen on, it is not even noticeable. I am truly impressed with Skinomi.

Best dry install? Spigen Dual, it's literally one of the best protectors I've ever used(hori has the best but theirs are for game consoles). Anyway the quality of the Spigen dual is unmatched, the rear protector almost has full accuracy, it's missing just a little bit of height but not enough to make a fuss over it. And the front, while not covering the curves, still overs great protection. They chose the slim profile for the front to avoid the lifting that normally occurs with the curvy designs, which is honestly a fair trade-off. I would rather have this design than one that allows dust and lifting to occur. Overall I give Steinheil a 9/10 for their efforts.

I do have an issue with the edges lifting, even though they're no where near the curve in the glass. I fitted both that came in the pack, with the same result. I'm in contact with Spigen CS to figure out what the problem is. In my opinion Spigen are the ultimate protector - I just want my N4 one to fit!

Thanks fot the reply. I was beginning to think no one had a screen protector.
Do you have the case fit one or the normal fit one.
How does it fit?
I have an Mpero Privacy Screen Protector sitting here, will post a review when my N4 arrives (if someone hasn't by then).

Please let us know how it does with the sensors as that screen protector doesn't have a cutout for that.
Is there any protector that will not bubble up because of the case? I dont mind it not covering the curved edges.

Best Skins Ever has an option for a protector cut specifically to be used with a case.
Fantom 4 (my favorite) is made of glass and i would imagine would be good too. on their website they recommend to use it with a case.

Actually contrary to the Amazon image it does indeed have the sensor cut out. I was worried about that being an issue before it arrived, but I'm relieved that it should be just fine.

You could try the Fantom 5 Tempered Glass protector as it's actually made of glass.
Hi to all,
I'm considering buying something that can best protect my S4 display. What can you advise me against accidental falls or blows to the display?
What's best choice?
Cover?
Tempered display films?
Bumper?
Many thanks

Personally-and others may disagree- I have glass screen protector from mime. Price is steep, but with 50% off, no hassle warranty from mime, it was worth it. Mind you, I got three replacements because I dropped my phone on concrete, then accidently dropped ipad on my phone. Both cases resulted in glass protector shattering, but the screen itself is completely fine.
On top of that, I use otterbox commuter when I go mt climbing, or camping.

Mmm ok...MIME at the moment cost 24$
Is the MIME case friendly? I have the spigen case so a screen protector needs to have minimal coverage to make room for the case lip.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
If you have a spigen case, buy a spigen tempered glass protector. They all are all comparable with each other as long as they are spigen brand. Personally I had a mime feather lite tempered glass protector and it worked great. They're quite thin, but thin enough to where it will crack if flexed too much during installation. I recommend a spigen glassTr protector. They're ultra durable and don't diminish the capability of the screen at all. Well worth the price.
As far as cases go, I'm using a spigen neo hybrid. I've dropped my phone from about six feet up a few times now, and the case has protected the phone perfectly. Its also fairly thin so it doesn't add a very much bulk at all. As far heavy protection goes, otter box ultimately has superior protection.

I have been using the spigen crystal series screen protectors ( $8 for 3) and the neo hybrid case. Seems to protect pretty well.

$24, but amazing customer service, and 50% discount on future replacements in case protector shatters.
You get what you pay for.. eBay has cheaper ones, but doesn't have the same quality, nor after sales support.

With mime, there is small space around the edges, for cases with curling lips.
I have spigen neo hybrid, and ultra thin case. Additionally, otterbox commuter and samsung official case (not sview nor flip cover). And I can say all the cases fit without a problem.
Otterbox or something similar. If you can get a discount even better, but the price is worth the protection these type of cases provide.

Just make sure you buy it from them directly (their Amazon or Ebay outlet).
Buy from *ANYWHERE ELSE* and they do not support you. Even if it can be verified that the product is authentic.
This is egregious and I will never buy their product again.

This is why I didn't feel bad buying a knockoff slimarmor s-view. At least I know I'm not getting no customer service and the price reflects that. Spigen gets the benefit of claiming awesome customer service, but only for a select group who buy through 2 options when multiple others are available. It's like samsung voiding your warranty because you bought your phone from AT&T and not verizon or sprint.

Mime doesn't sell any cases.
This SPIGEN SGP Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector GLAS.t NANO SLIM protected my screen like a champ when it fell, screen first, from aprox. 5 feet.
I like the MIME better and is what i have. I also have the Neo Hybrid and the slim armor cases from Spigen, I like the MIME Ghost glass best for 2 reasons.
first, The hardness rating is a 9H and the Spigen is an 8H rating so MIME is harder to scratch technically.
Second, The MIME is a .32mm thickness compared to Spigen's .40mm. I like this because with the very thin case edges the MIME still is recessed so if/when you put the phone face down it isn't resting on the glass protector.
1 more thing. MIME (others likely do too) has a thin layer of coating to resist finger prints. Solvents like windex and such will break that down. Use something for cleaning LCD and you will be better off. My first MIME Ghost Glass i used windex all the time and my finger prints were getting bad on it (way easier) and my 2nd one i only use the actual screen cleaner stuff and after 3 or 4 months it's still hard to get it all mucked up with prints.
does anybody have any experience with the Spigen Slim Armor View? i wanna get one of these along with a nano screen protector from Spigen as well, but i want to know what is my best choice between the Spigen cases

Unrelated to the thread topic, but I have one in white and love it. I would suggest going through the slim view armor thread and finding a reputable knockoff dealer and getting it from there. Spigen will not replace it most times when it fails, even if you order it through an 'official' store and the hinges on the official case sometimes break.
I paid $15 for my knockoff and after 6 months of use on a construction site its still like new aside from the scratches. A glass screen protector does make it harder to press the home button to light up the s-view display, but that's a function of the screen protector thickness, not the case. With an aluminum home button sticker it goes back to a very light press.
I also run it with an official spigen glass.tr protector (Picked it up for $20, otherwise I wouldn't buy it).
Oh I complained about Spigen, but did not indicate what I use.
I use a glass screen protector. Glass all the way.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171172132327?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
They show up fast and only cost $9 or so. They are a little thicker than the Spigen Nano but for me it doesn't matter.
It definitely doesn't matter at $9.
Spigen tempered glass screen protector all the way.
Serious they are really just the best. Not only in terms of protection, it's also super slim and ultra clear.
anti reflexion screen protector, best!
Are there any curved/wet install screen protectors that will fit round the curved edges of the S6 or is a glass one the way forward?
I am clumsy and outdoors lots so would want some proection and it seems a lot of the plastic protectors only just about cover the screen.
I was very satisfied with the Spigen non-glass screen protector. It covered almost all of the screen, which surprised me. I only took it off because I prefer glass protectors.
Spigen screen protectors leave gaps around the border. Not as much as glass sp. This is to accommodate "case friendly" design.

Not got the phone yet - was pre ordering bits! I don't mean the whole front of the phone. On the spigen website it shows the protector being slightly wider than the display, but review I read elsewhere seem to have it cut quite narrow and it barely covers the active part of the screen.
This is the Spigen plastic screen protector I ordered below. I always use a case and it covers most of the screen. There's a tiny gap, but I wasn't bothered by it.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QU4N0EI
A case option is the Spigen Ultra Hybrid FX case. Its the $17.99 option in the link below. It covers the entire phone (front, back, edges). Then you don't need a screen protector.

Below is a review of the case for an iPhone 6. It's in Japanese, but you get the idea. There's no S6 video review available.
Despite my comments in this thread, I'm not a Spigen fanboy LOL. I no longer use the Spigen screen protector (I have a no-name glass now) and I'm swapping my Spigen case for a Ringke Fusion.

Have the Fusion on my Nexus - pretty good but teh back is coming away from the sides now. Like the look of the Rinke slim though.
Got some Spigen ones, they are pretty close to the size of the screen. Have to be so careful to line it up properly! Shame they didnt make it that fraction bigger, but I guess that was not possible due to the screen curve.
Ordered spiegen ones too, from amazon, 2 protectors wtih shipping costed 16.70€ but i have always dreamed of getting rid of that thick and heavy tempered protector.... they really do add weight and thickness to phone, especially if you decide to put front and back tempered protectors

They're hard to find, I've seen a few on ebay.com but there are some glass protectors that will cover almost all of the phone. They're the ones that go over the buttons with a pass-through for the fingerprint sensor/home button. They have an entirely identical full front look. I have a SUPER thin tempered glass screen protector for the front and back of my s6. On the back it is quite large so it has the halo but on the front it is cut so it just about covers the actual display bit, so there is no halo on the front. It covers the samsung logo at the top and the capacitive buttons at the bottom like any other screen protector. Both costs me £2.49 on eBay UK. After using a much thicker tempered glass screen protector on my s3 I would say that the thicker ones feel as if they would offer better drop protection.
At this point, I've tried three different glass screen protectors for the G5. I've tried a Pleson screen protector, an iCarez, and a SuperShieldz. All three of them didn't adhere and I had to through them away.
Am I the only one with this problem? I mean, there has to be a way to protect the screen, but I'm just getting so frustrated. If you have the same problem, or if you found a solution, please let me know...
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the rant. I'm just getting annoyed with what should be a straightforward process.
I had the same issue with the Tech Armor (http://www.amazon.com/Tech-Armor-Ba...-1&keywords=lg+g5+screen+protector+tech+armor).
Ended up with an amfilm film protector. It actually sticks to the screen and works pretty well. http://www.amazon.com/Protector-amF...507712&sr=8-2&keywords=lg+g5+screen+protector
Still using it after about 2 weeks, and no problems have come up. Hope that helps
Same here! Ordered four different ones and got fed up. Now i am using IQ shield matte film and a million times better

GPEL has a model on pre-order right now for $25 ($30 msrp I guess). It appears to be made expressly contoured to fit the G5 properly, was a video on Reddit in the G5 sub showcasing it. Might be something. This is a gorilla glass phone like all the rest of them though so you'd have to really work at it to scratch it, screen protectors are not necessary.
I would hate to go back to film protectors because i've been using them for years, but I'm seeing a ton of negative thoughts about the glass versions for this phone. Might be a good idea to sacrifice the quality so the screen can be protected.
I just went to the Spigen films and it works well, smooth with no issues with installation

Not the only one, my PET screen protectors don't seem to stay adhered for more than a week. Kinda annoying. Checking Amazon reviews, there seems to be a lot of these issues.
If you like matte protectors like I do, this one has been great. I had to replace it when the spigen case (the one with the chin piece for easy battery removal) I was using peeled it back, but both installs have been flawless. I now use the thin fit spigen with 0 issues.

if you are facing issues then amfilm film protector and spigen are the best one.

How did you get the amfilm to ship to your country? I'm in the UK, and I can't seem to have it shipped to me.
I found this one on Amazon,it covers the whole screen. It will arrive tomorrow

Very easy to install, you would never know it's on,it matches the phone perfectly. No bubbles what so ever,it does not mess with the quality of screen images or color. It fits over the curved edges nicely. It has a little bit of a lip towards the bottom,by the LG logo, but not a big deal. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting a tempered glass screen. G-Color did a very nice job with this. It also sticks to the edges, ive had no issues.

G5 screen protector
Just got a new G5 and been lurking around for a better screen protector and read all reviews but i'm hesitant to get any of it but I might try this.

For the minute, the one that was on the phone is doing fine for me, when it needs swapping, I'll try and get a Zagg one as theyre pretty good.
I need a good quality screen protector for my GT Neo 2 and I don't want any cases because the back of the phone looks so cool.

Use a thick case and a good tempered. Try to look for the tempered in local shops.
A guy here by mistakenly got his screen broken. It DID have a tempered, but the tempered and the screen, both broke.
The most accurate reason for this must be the SHOCK due to FALL.
Thus a strong and heavy duty cover becomes imminent!
I quite like the Nillkin range of products and have been using their gel cases for a while now - awesome quality, kept my phones safe when they have fallen and has extra grip on the side.
So naturally I went to take a look what htye have for the GT Neo 2, although no clear case unfortunately. As you said, the phone looks cool so a clear case would be great to show off the look!
I have found some clear TPU / soft gel cases online but they look like very plain, simple cases without any extra protection or grip.

nillikin ones are, in my eyes badly overpriced. spigen and ringke are far better, but then they dont make for realme sadly...
If importing the Nillkin cases, the price is not too bad as it is cheaper than buying a case locally in South Africa.
I will keep Spigen and Ringke in mind for next time. Will need to wait and see what becomes available for the GT Neo 2.
A big frustration of mine is that a lot of screen protectors no longer fully cover the screens on most phones - is it just me or have others noticed this as well?

Then you can try a liquid screen protector from Gadgetshieldz where they provide good quality protectors because it covers all over the edge of the phone's display. This protector gives good protection against scratches and cracks and also, it has a self-healing feature that heals most of the scratches on the protector. This interested me to buy it!

I don't want to use a case to hide the good-looking back but I'll try a transparent case, thanks for the recommendation!

you can do yes, but back is glass, so best to get a durable case. cuz if it falls, back and front, both being glass can break easily.
buy one which is shockproof to some extent.

Thanks for the recommendation, I visited the website and it is affordable, and is the self-healing actually works because it is new for me.

Yeah, as steve mentioned above the screen guard will self-heal the scratches that occur on it. So I asked him if it actually works!

I dont think any such stuff exists lol
I have heard the self healing does work, however not all that well on larger scratches.
Those hydrogel type of screen protectors apparently do not offer as great impact resistance as a tempered glass screen protector.
Overall, I heard that the tempered glass screen protectors are better when it comes to protecting the screen on your phone. The hydrogel ones are cheaper though and can work well at protecting your screen from scratches and will heal the small scratches.

Self-healing does work on my screen guard but it doesn't heal the scratches 100%, it just makes the scratches less visible after a day or two.
