Anyone know if this is coming?
Looks like Samsung isn't giving too many options of OEM cases. Maybe something third party but I can't find anything.
It's too bad. The Note 9 seems like the perfect size to have a landscape-type keyboard clamshell case.
Any update?
Let me look in my crystal ball....
Nope. Nobody is pressuring Samsung to make accessories.
Power SPen will be hate the case. Do you want Samsung **** themselves? Remember they promoted the live MMS a alot since the Note8.
I had the samsung keyboard case for the s7 and it was REALLY crappy.
Returned it on amazon ... I think there is a reason why they don´t produce it anymore.. they also figured it was crap.
Sorry for the rant, but It´s true.. 60bucks for a piece of plastic.. come on!
I disagree. Who cares if its plastic? It's a keyboard and I am typing on it right now. I dont use it all the time but when I need to type something long I just flip it over and I dont have to correct mistakes,it works perfectly. It's a great solution the only thing lacking is the backlight.
+1 on this, it will be nice to have dex running in pocket with clamshell flip-keyboard

The same here, i still have this keyboard case and writing on it is pain. Pure pain. Especially when you have swipe enabled gboard and voice recognition... why bother? Much more easy to buy normal keyboard or folding one and attach OTG C cable to it.

I simply do not use the hard keyboard, so I would LOVE to find a case that snaps together instead of individually to the two halves of the phone, basically making it a touch screen only phone.
no offense but i sure hope not
but im sure there will be
try ebay
I doubt it anyone will make a case intentionally like that for a phone that was designed to have a slideout keyboard as it's descerning feature from the EVO.
This would work:

Yeah I use the keyboard like 1 a week or hardly at all.. I'm so used to swype.
I don't think you'll find anybody on here who will make you one. But I'm sure if you search the net you might find it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/MONACO-ALUMINUM...124785?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item5d2c3c8ef1 - $8 less and shipped.
That is actually a pretty cool looking case, but I wouldn't like to have to flip it open every time. For the OP though, it'd be perfect. If this thing had a built-in EVO type kickstand, I'd consider getting it and using Swype more.
My only issue is it would seem that since it is designed to open for use, it could be prone to opening when I dont want it to, causing me to possibly drop the phone
I found a jelly case from Zooly, but cannot find anyone that actually carries it.
Has anybody physically tried to use the HP Touchpad with either the Zaggmate w/Keyboard (originally for ipad1)? or the Zaggfolio (originally for the ipad2)? I have already compared measurements but I want to know if someone has actually tried it.

thanks!!
Love the Aluminium case idea but an iPad case on the TP is going to have gaps at the corners, I don't know how that would affect the way it closes/stays shut.
/edit, Just had a closer look at the middle link keyboard, I can see typing on that being a real pain, having to 'reach over' the case sides all the time.
I called Zagg and they claim compatibility with pairing for the Zagg solo (http://www.zagg.com/accessories/zaggkeys-solo-ipad-keyboard.php), but i'd be more interested in something with a case as well. the good thing is that their bluetooth pairing seems to play well across devices, so pairing it with android when available should be a breeze.
I'll shoot them an e-mail to see if they can tell me if any of there cases would fit snuggly with the touchpad and report back here when I find out.
I noticed it is pretty much the same keyboard used in all those just different cases.. Another sweet lookin case is a New Trent for ipad2.. I have to find the link again.

This looks interesting should fit as per other forums...
Just checking to see if anybody tried any of the zagg cases yet.. I have seen a couple Zaggmate for ipad1 on ebay for $55.00 USD, I was thinking of giving it a try.
**Edit: I found a used one that allegedly works for $40.00 so I bought it.. will report back findings***

The problem you are going to encounter (as has been pointed out a number of times) is that the TouchPad is slightly thicker (about 1mm) than the iPad and anything that clips around the thing tightly is going to come up short for the TouchPad. in other words, if the case is designed for the iPad to sit down snugly inside it somehow, the TP will NOT fit within those confines.
Sorry.

They said they used the Zaggmate...
Zaggmate for ipad1 DOES connect/pair with TP
Ok.. My Zaggmate for the ipad1 arrived today. I was very eager to try it out. First impression solid, well built, keyboard is a little small for my hands I would say it is about a 90% keyboard. Others were right the corners are left exposed as you can see in the pictures below but not bad at all. It does fit well. When sitting in the dock area it does stay still, however do not push on the screen too hard or shake the table as it may give way. OH, and the most important part.. IT DOES pair with the TP (see below posts) and my Motorola Droid 1 but can't get it to work with my LG Revolution, but the TP was the main point. So it DOES WORK!!!
Wow that looks awesome! Mind made up lol!
To pair it, I heard you have to type and combination on the touchpad i.e. 1234
then type the exact same thing on the keyboard. Get back if it works

tried the usuals 1234, 0000 but when it did pair to my LG Revo the # code was 6 numbers
disregard.. it did work using 123456 on both!! Thanks for the tip.
It is a little buggy.. the escape key works to open up the app drawer as well as the button on the TP that lets you switch cards..
To use the alternate punctuation marks like ! @ # $ % ^ or ? " : you have to use caps lock, shift won't work
Apple's command button will also open up the app drawer from home screen
Function key row also has search but that will just bring up the Just Type screen but you can also access that by.. you guessed it.. just typing lol I am still playing around with this.
lol I bet there is a map keyboard app for android ;-)
Got the zaggmate to connect with CyanogenMod however none of the function keys seem to work and the arrow keys thinks the tp is always in vertical mode because that how they move. Unless an update will fix some of the issues probably wont work in Android well enough to use regularly.. might buy the zaggkeys solo and see how that works since they list compatibility with Android tabs.
sent from my HP Touchpad powered by CyanogenMod 7.1 alpha
*EDIT*: After some playing around the number/letter/punctuation keys work for basic typing. Search key works, command does nothing, Volume keys work, tab, shift, caps lock all work fine. Anyone following the "issues" from the rootz wiki forum, someone came up with a fix (qwerty.kl file) that allegedly works with the HP Touchpad OEM Bluetooth keyboard to fix the issue with the directional arrow keys only move as if the TP was always in vertical position. This also occurs with the Zaggmate however the "fix" didn't fix it.
You need an updated keyboard mapping file: http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?8134-How-to-fix-BT-keyboard-mapping-in-CM-Touchpad

I ordered the US version of the official Samsung keyboard case, it should be here this week.

Just got it in, pretty impressive little guy so far.
Need to get some time in actually using it before I can say to much more about it.
Ill post some pictures of it if there is interest.

I got it on Amazon belive it or not, it was a third party seller, and they only had one listed in stock,so I snatched it up, was the regular retail price of $150.
Here is the link, but its out of stock now.

For anyone who does not mind full retail price ($149), you can purchase it direct from Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/BKC-1C9USBGSTA
I am holding out for it to show up at more vendors. I suspect it will cost between $99 and $129 very quickly.
About the Samsung Keyboard (gorgeous, btw). Can you type on it and touch/pinch on the screen while it's upright? I mean, would it easily fall back? The rear support looks slippery/flimsy.

That's my only real concern also. The keyboard and case itself looks MUCH nicer than anything else on the market. I don't like cases that cover the sides of the screen (which the Samsung doesn't), and the keyboard looks larger and slimmer than any of the competitor's offerings.
Exactly and the YouTube video is crap, the thing lays flat nearly all the time...not helpful.

I have found it to actually be really quite sturdy, even on very slippery desk surfaces.
The stand itself is a quite ridged, yet has some flexability in that it wont snap under pressure.
The part of it that makes contatact with the desk or whatever is coated in a very grippy rubberized material that grips anything really sturdily.
It does not slipthats for sure.
So yea you can absolutely pinch and zoom while in laptop style angles on a desk, or leather couch.
The whole case is really thin and nicely designed, I also have the Vipertek slim leather case, and this is only very slightly thicker.
It does add quite a bit of weight to it, but its not to bad, and feels very solid.
The keyboard works pretty well, there is some quirks that I assume are related to androids implimentation of BT keyoards and hope to see addresed in ICS, but all in all I find it works pretty well.
When I bought it I was only really planning on using it when I knew I would need it for some reason, and still primarily have my tab in the Vipertek most of the time, but since I put my tab in, it has stayed in, and I don't think I will go back to my old case.

Nope, unfortunatly you cannot.
It almost goes all the way around but not quite.
That is probably one of the main drawbacks, but I have found it to be less of an issue then I thought it would be.
Thanks for the response. I use it in portrait mode a lot and don't always need the keyboard. I would definitely get this if it wasn't so expensive!

Well the title really says it all, I don't want the touch keyboard cover, I don't have a need for it nor want to spend $115 for it.. I had a keyboard for my TF300 and never used it..
Anyways, does anyone make a touch cover that click in, just minus the keyboard... I guess if I could get a touch keyboard cover real cheap that would work...but I doubt that... anyways...
Rant done... haha
Just a cover then somewhat like the apple smart covers?
I dont think anyone makes one. Although you may not have used the keyboard on your tf300 often you might want to consider the fact that this is a windows device and the keyboard is more important in the windows ecosystem, if you can live without it, well, your choice.

I happen to get my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S Bluetooth keyboard case. This is the Titanium Bronze color for the Tab S. Samsung did a nice job of designing to match the Tab S. Only thing is the keys are on the bit small side. Might be tough when typing for long periods at a time.

wouldn't want big hands! great product otherwise. thanks for the vid
Got this after seeing your video! I love it, it looks great and my hands aren't too big so I'm not feeling too cramped.
Unfortunately, I have gotten one where the key layout is different (maybe it's the French layout) than what it shown on the box, which is the normal Eng-US layout. I am completely bummed about that. It still types as though it is the ENG-US keyboard, so it's confusing if I want to use the characters, or the alt characters over the numbers keys.
Any other Canadians with this issue? I bought mine in Victoria BC, at our one and only Futureshop.
Thinner, lighter, smaller outside, yet bigger keys, all same functions, $89 vs $150, PLUS a trackpad: google "fire keyboard"
I have both. I love how the Samsung keyboard acts as a cover and a kickstand, without having to put any actual cover or case on the tablet. I hate covers and cases. And I love how it looks perfect matching the tablet. But I was really missing a trackpad. Touching the screen while in laptop mode just really awkward and annoying to me.
I've only had the tablet about 3 days so I'm still playing with both keyboards. For one thing, if I were going to use the Fire keyboard most of the time, I'd need to find, or make, some kind of book cover to attach the keyboard to, and to prop up the tablet. On the plus side I could stow a stylus there too.
Do the box come in sealed? I can't find it locally so I might need to resource to Amazon or Ebay.
