Bricked or fixable? - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

So I have a Google Pixel Verizon locked model, that has never been modified, and just recently started boot looping.
It shows the GOOGLE logo on the white background for a few seconds before the screen goes black and tries to boot again.
I am able to get to the recovery mode sometimes (usually when the phone is cold and then can boot into it, otherwise just goes into the same above boot loop.
I have been able to chill the phone by putting it in the fridge, then able to get into the recovery mode.
I have attempted a factory wipe and boot, but when I attempt boot, it just goes back to the boot loop of google screen and black screen
am I bricked? I wanted to try flashing a new rom, but since its locked, and I have no way to get into the phone to activate developer mode, I don't think I can do anything

It sounds like a hardware problem, especially when you mention that chilling the phone helps. Unless someone else has some ideas, your only other option might be to go through Google support.

When in recovery, have u tried booting to bootloader and flash stock firmware with fastboot?
Cheers

yes, i get an error 21, which i believe is due to the locked bootloader

Since u can't go into fastboot, I think it's best to go to a service center or something.
Good luck.

[Q] Bootloop and everything lost

Here goes: I was a happy OPO user using the latest crDroid ROM and AK kernel, when suddenly my phone entered the sleep of death. I turned it off and back on, and since then it is in an eternal boot loop, never going beyond the Oneplus logo.
I am able to get into fastboot mode as well as recovery mode (I am using Philz Recovery), however, here is where it gets weird. I was hoping to just flash another ROM from the recovery and fix the problem, but all my files and folders on the SD card are gone, almost as if the chip died.
I also tried flashing a different ROM using ADB, to no avail. ADB shows "OK" but nothing sticks. All I can successfully flash are the boot logo and the recovery. The phone never gets beyond the logo before it reboots.
Does anyone have an idea what else I could try? I feel like sending it back for a replacement, but I am afraid that this will take forever.
Do you have a OTG USB stick ? Maybe you can flash from there.
I was able to get my phone to boot using this:

All data is gone though. But at least I don't have a brick any more.

[Q] Wont boot past Google logo. Also goes blank entering recovery

Sorry if this info is posted somewhere already, I searched and could not find my exact issue.
So, woke up this morning noticed Nexus 5 was off. So i turned it on and it will not load past the Google logo. It doesn't keep rebooting to it like others have said but just stays on the Google logo.
I can do the Volume down + power to get into what it says is the FASTBOOT MODE with the green robot on its back. However, selecting Recovery mode just takes me to a blank screen.
I have tried installing TWRP but it did not appear to work. The install said it failed the first time after a while, tried again and it said it worked. However still nothing when selecting Recovery.
Phone is Rooted with stock Android 4.4.4 no custom ROMs.
I appreciate any help.
If this doesn't work, any reviews on the new Moto X? Does it get the new updates right away also? Really do not want to get away from Stock Android.
Fastboot a system and see if that works

Can you give me more detail than that please.
OK, i believe I fastbooted a system.img like suggested. However still nothing.
When trying to do a factory reset "erase userdata" on the phone it hangs up on "erasing..." So it wont even factory reset lol. sigh....
Apparently Google cant fix it either. Getting a new phone
Lol. Might as well unlock the bootloader straight away then before any data is put on

stuck on boot animation, and unable to get stock recovery to work

So recently for some reason my Nexus 5 gets stuck on the booting animation. I think it was updating to 6.0.1 or something but I'm not sure, because I just woke up one day and the phone wouldn't boot, and when it finally did it just gets stuck on the boot animation. I've tried to flash stock images and etc but I need an unlocked boot loader and for some reason if the phone doesn't boot completely after unlocking the bootloader, then it gets re-locked. So now my last option is to use the stock recovery to wipe data or something but when I go to the screen with the dead android guy, no combination of buttons seem to make the recovery options show up. If anyone could help that would be great, even if it doesn't involve the stock recovery!

You only need to go back to the bootloader to unlock and then flash factory images, why do you need recovery?
If the bootloader is relocking itself after a reboot, the emmc has probably gone bad and can only be fixed with a motherboard swap.

aw that's unfortunate. thanks anyway
I had two Nexus 5 phones that would bootloop and, eventually, the bootloader would keep relocking each time I rebooted.
I bought a couple of used N5s with busted screens, swapped motherboards, and everything went back to normal. A new motherboard is way too expensive.

Nexus 5x google bootloop, recovery won't get past Google screen either (strange)

I was in snapchat when all of a sudden my nexus 5x totally froze and rebooted (which is normal considering how much snapchat sucks.)
I saw the warning about my bootloader being unlocked which was normal and it went to the Google screen, where it sat for about 5 minutes. Normally in every previous bootloop I've had in the past, the boot animation just loops forever and ever. I force shut it off and tried booting it up again and this time on the Google screen the phone totally shut off and restarted showing me the warning about my bootloader. I tried the recovery, but got the same results. So, I went home and plugged it in thinking maybe that would help but it still was shutting off and rebooting. It never got to the boot animation. I had all the adb and fastboot drivers so I just decided to flash the factory image. It flashed fine, and sadly the problem was still there. I'm so stuck, I can't get into the recovery to do anything and there's only so much that you can do over fastboot. I've found that if I press the power button every couple seconds while the Google screen is still showing and it doesn't reboot but the Google logo won't leave for the boot animation.
Seriously guys, please just give me any of your ideas.

Pixel Bricked

I have a og pixel that before I did the 9.0 update it froze and is now stuck in a boot loop. Contacted Google, they we're unable to help me. So I can boot into the bootloader, but as soon as I boot recovery, or just restart it just goes into the boot loop. I can't even turn the phone off or it will go back into the boot loop. So, it is my wife's phone and she has absolutely nothing backed up. I don't care about the phone, I was just wondering if anyone knows how I can get off the pictures and text messages. I've tried all those tools on the threads and have been looking for weeks on a resolution but can't find anything. The phone is bone stock, no root or nothing. I'm hoping one of y'all can help me out!
Hi, did you try to flash a factory image while in bootloader mode?
Cheers

Is the bootloader still locked? Did you ever enable USB debugging? Did she have some kind of security on it (PIN, fingerprint, etc.)?
