Exporting the High-Res audio from videos? - HTC U11 Questions & Answers

Hi, im having the following issue when trying to share the videos i recorded with my HTC U11, hope there is some fix for this.
I recorded a video with High-Res and the only way to share this video is with .mkv format, but the video needs to be edited and when is imported to Premiere there is no audio, neither if i convert the video to mp4 with media encoder, also tried to convert with VLC but no success.
Is there anyway or option that i missing to either extract the audio and insert it on a mp4, or convert the entire video to mp4 with audio?
Thanks.

Try media converter by antvplayer.

Android phones Record video in 3gp? Am i dreaming?

i wanted to ask what is the deal with 3gp video recording on desire hd and htc hd2 custom android rom... I can't understand why android phones record video in 3gp??? i have desire hd and hd2 both record in 3gp file type... Does this mean that all android phones record video in 3gp? Can i somehow make my phone record in mp4 or some other video format? And after this, i officially say that desire hd is my last phone with android until they make avi or mp4 recording... I am happy i have a windows phone...
3gp's are basicly mp4's with a diff audio codec. Just rename it to mp4 and you should be fine.

@king_slavcho: 3gp, avi and mp4 are just containers. Knowing the container tells you nothing about which video and audio formats are inside, all three of them can store several different formats.
@InfiniteRisen: It's not a given that audio will be different, as 3gp can also store AAC audio. And just renaming the filename is *not* the thing to do, as the containers are slightly different. It might work most of the time, but that's just by chance.

As someone who has programmed using the FFMPEG API--which is considered the standard in the media encoding world-- I can vouch for what this man says; The AVI, MP4, m4v, etc are just formats(or 'containers' if you will) that hold the encoded video information. 3gp is probably more ARM friendly though.

[Q] Video Convert configurations

Guys I have HTC sensation,
Can any one tell me the configurations to convert the video to play on my phone..
like wise,
video size
bitrate
frame rate
aspect ratio
etc
video codec
I use imToo video converter..
I need HD video..
everytime i convert I see quality is gone worse..
Help././
Just use some more advanced media player, like MX Video Player. Streams mkv, mp4 and avi seamlessly over upnp - So ill guess it plays most others as well.
I'm using DicePlayer. It plays everything so far.
Either use MoboPlayer

Or convert your videos to be 960x540

[Q] Video Playback bug (answered)

Hello,
So I have had my TF300T for a week now, and I have the screen time out at 2 mins. I am using the app Mx Player to play .avi's. In the mx player app i have it set to keep the screen on. But after like after a random set of mins it stops the video and shows the last screen (video selection screen). Then the screen turns off after two minutes. This is probably an app bug, but are you guys having this problem? Do you think it is the app, the video file? If you have had this problem how did you fix it? I really like mx player... Any help would be much appreciated!
-Voiid
Edit: found out that the video wasn't in the right format
Supported video format for the Transformer Pad TF300 is: MP4 h264 and the audio needs to be AAC.
it is well known that video stops in middle..sometimes
it is unfortunate that mx player, dice player and bs player still cannot play all the videos well...... especially some full HD files like 1080p,720p MKV, MTS, M2TS videos due to the TF300 video format limit ( AVI, DivX, MPEG4, WMV, QuickTime, H.264 ).
to transfer MKV,MTS,TiVo,MPG movies to TF300 for enjoying in 720,1080p with these video players, you need a third party software to convert HD,full HD videos MKV, MTS, M2TS, FLV, TiVo, MOD, 3GP, MPG, etc to Asus Pad TF300.

Thank you so much for the help! I was starting to get worried that no one would help me.. thanks for the heads up that this is normal. So you say i need to convert the video to a better format. What is a good format? And what software are you talking about? if you need to send me a pm, go ahead. Thanks for the help!!
So with a lot of googling and a lot of time spent. I figured this out:
Supported video format for the Transformer Pad TF300 is: MP4 h264 and the audio needs to be AAC.
I tried MP4 h264 but using mp3 audio and it wouldn't work with the normal gallery but worked with MX Player(as it seemed, tested for an hour) with no problems or hick ups.
But i just tried a MP4 h264 using AAC audio and it does work with the normal gallery. I hope this helps someone else with the same issues i was having. I used DVDFab 8 to convert the file.
If you are having sound issues with mx player.. Use sw decoding
Better option is using dice player...

MX Player and hw decoder

I have a bunch of mkv's I decoded myself from some dvd's using a free software for windows, but when I play them with mx player on the note 10.1 I can only use sw and not hw.
Anyone who knows what the problem may be?
No, but I have the same experience. Many video's need SW b/c HW will either not play, or produce audio mismatch.
I use hw for video and sw for audio... Works fine but doe go out of sync when just using hw...
Why do you convert dvds to mkv ?
You can convert them to mp4 or avi with ac3 audio.
The files are smaller and the video quality is the same.

cos it's an easy software and process: put in the dvd, select language and subtitle, click convert and in a few minutes I get the movie ripped to an mkv file.

[Feature request] External audio-streams

Please add to API ability to pass additional audio streams for video file in similar way as it done for subtitles.
sample: I have on server mp4 video file with 1 audio stram and couple mp3 files with audio in other languages.
Separate video and audio files

I'd love this feature too. Especially for playing videos that have the audio and video tracks already separated (eg. m4v and m4a files of the same name). Ideally in this case the app could detect that the video file had no audio and then pick up the similarly named audio track and play that.
yes, this is the MOST WANTED feature I need for MX Player (or Pro).
I got a huge movie collection in MKV files, many of them are not packed with my native language audio stream and my littlle child is too young to read subtitles, actually I can get the native autio stream perfectly match these movies.
so now I have to repack these MKVs to enable the audio selection in MX player, this will change the original files that I cannot continue seeding them

edit: and the external audio stream files may in the file type of MKA, DTS, AC3, etc.
