[APP] System UI Tuner launcher for Android 9 Pie - Google Pixel 2 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I created this simple launcher to open the hidden System UI Tuner in Android 9. Hopefully it will be useful for those who do not want to use ADB or install a custom launcher such as Nova to make a shortcut.

Works, but time returns after toggling the lock screen. Thank you.

change desktop grid from default 5x4 to 6x5 + Nova Launcher

I own a Huawei Mate 7, with 64GB , purchased in China, I rooted it.
Model HUAWEI MT7-TL10.
I kept the original EMUI 3.0
1.
Does anybody know how to change desktop grid from default 5x4 to 6x5?
2.
I installed Nova Launcher and Nova Settings >but the Nova launcher is not retained. At each reboot the original EMUI takes over. Does anybody know how to make Nova Launcher the default launcher and makes it stable, retain after reboot?
Google New Launcher does not work either. It cannot even launch
Thank you
Saulo
Additionally I would like to install the new Lollipop ROM, but run the Chinese version, and I am afraid I will loose both root and GAPPS if I upgrade to the suggested ROM from within the phone itself....
2.
Do I need the new TWRP? Or a special ROM?
Thanks
Saulo
I cannot find the item in settings to change the icon number. Vertically and Horizontally
I could not even find under "themes"
Any ideas?
settings -> manage apps -> default apps (it's on button) -> launcher (here u select nova launcher)
i think i could work...

Android 7.1 shortcuts on 5.0+

There were some interesting features announced as part of the launch of Google's Pixel phones. While some are exclusives to the new handsets, others are a part of the new Android 7.1 Nougat. One of the headlining features for the new OS version is the App Shortcuts API, a way for apps to offer fast access to select screens and functions.
But it's only available on Nougat.
If your device didn't support update or you are not on Nougat and you want to try it out on Android version 5.0 and up.
Here is the Solution.
Download latest Nova Launcher beta:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher
&
App called Sesame Shortcuts:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ninja.sesame.app.edge
Steps:
1.Download both apps.
2.Open Sesame Shortcuts , go through setup and Grant all permissions and that's it.
Goto homescreen in Nova launcher and press and hold any app.
If you didn't got App Shortcuts.
1.Go into Nova launcher settings.
2.Search for option Sesame Shortcuts inside nova settings.
3.open that option and select everything inside it.

[APP][9.0+] UI Tuner Launcher

A very simple launcher to provide a clean and convenient way to access System UI Tuner in Android 9 Pie.
First introduced in Android Marshmallow, Google included a hidden menu with experimental options called System UI Tuner.
The option to launch System UI Tuner in Android 9 Pie has been removed by Google, but the utility does still exist.
This application is simply a shortcut to launch the hidden System UI Tuner menu without the need to use ADB or install a custom launcher. This works the same as Google's own method of launching the UI Tuner in previous Android versions.
This will work on all stock AOSP, Essential phone, Pixel builds of Android 9. Third-party manufacturers may chose to disable this menu completely in their custom builds.
Note: Some features of System UI Tuner in Android 9 Pie are broken (such as hiding certain icons), there is nothing that I can do to correct this, as it is part of the Android system. This app simply opens the stock built-in Android UI Tuner.

Thanks for looking!
It only works partially though. If you try to hide icons on your notification bar only have work, the other half do nothing when you try to hide them.
