I'm going to the store tomorrow to pre-order my Note 9.
Can we make an entire thread dedicated to extended batteries?
I currently have a Galaxy Note 4 that I'm going to be trading in for my Note 9, and use a Zerolemon battery with it. From what I understand, the Note 4 is the last phone where you can replace the battery, and that any new battery is basically an add-on.

I get that the older Note models may need a battery case/extended batteries,I'm using a Note 5 myself that has 625 discharge cycles & 89% of the original usable capacity.
That's great, but, compared to later model phones, especially this year's SnapDragon 845 powered phones, the difference is night & day as far as overall battery efficiency.
Unless you're one of the uber power users with higher than typical screen-on time & usage, I'd give the phone a chance before spending any $$$ on battery cases.
FWIW,I'm not a fan of the skinny phone movement,LOL,but, the battery cases tend to go to the other extreme, that's why I'd recommend giving the phone a chance as-is...........

Slim extended battery don't work well. Usually falsely advertised for their capacity. Can't get more capacity into a battery if you don't increase the real estate of the battery
IMO Anker are a great battery. And their CS is second to none :good:

From the past, NFC and kickstand has been done with other phone models, wireless charging might not be possible.
There might be a stand along wirless charging battery by anymode (samsung sister/partner company or a third party one), but this one has not been confirmed.
I never needed one for my S4, so I am guessing I will get by without a second on the S5. I do have a 7800 mah portable charger that we bring along on trips and events should anyone need to power up. Battery life has definitely improved since my Thunderbolt/ Galaxy Nexus days.

Not sure about Anker and other 3rd party batteries. Steve Litchfield did a test on several 3rd party batteries (inc. Anker) and they all don't hold as much charge as the original. You can get physically bigger ones but they don't appear to be as energy dense as the originals. Still for the price, they made sense as spare/back up batteries compared to originals.

That is what i meant. The Anker i had with my S4 wasn't as good as the original but not far off. So comparing Anker vs original it was probably better value pound for pound. You could probably get 2 Anker ones for the price of a Samsung.
I go with Seideo myself. They are quite expensive but the extended battery + Case/Clip combo works well. I started with them on my Palm Pre and have bought their stuff for every phone after that. Generally their cases and clips hold up well and the batter adds a few days worth of life. Your mileage may vary though.
I found this 5600mA extended battery here:
http://www.batterybay.net/Extended-Battery-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S5-p/samsung-cs-smi960hl.htm
I previously used Batterybay battery. Fair performance but cheap price (relatively to Mugen)
I think I will give it a vote this time. Anyone here tried that before???

OR, just buy the stock battery that comes with the S5 or the battery/charger combo if you wanna keep it slim as stock. That's what I would do. The KINPS 4000mah battery for my Note 2 that I bought from Ebay was not any better than the stock 3100mah that came with it.

I'm a big fan of the Note series and the ZeroLemon battery. I'm currently on a Note 2 and the Note Edge has caught my eye. I've been waiting for this for a while now. Anyone have any insight of how ZeroLemon will be able to attach to the Edge? Is this going to be a problem or will they solve it with something simple and elegant.
Probably won't be a 10,000 but I'm certain there will be extended batteries for this.
I'm looking forward to an extended ZeroLemon battery for the Edge as well. I had one for the Galaxy S3 and currently for the Note 3. They've been great and with the Power Saving mode on the Edge/Note 4, it should really help with battery life.

zerolemon and note edge
Hi there some one said he posted a question on when zerolemon will have a battery for Note 4 on their facebook wall. They answered and said soon. I dont have facebook. If any one of you can do that for the edgd will be great. I only have till the 21 of this month to change from 4 to edge. If no battery is coming up(coz i was concerned how they will make the cover, which i already dont like), the edge is worthless with its battery
Until it comes out this could come in handy and with a combination of the 2 batteries, you'd equal out to the average battery size of a ZL -

Have you tried this or seen any reviews about it?
I only got a note 3 but plan on getting the edge so been looking at accessories, nope haven't seen any reviews for it yet. But all positive feedback from users who bought it, dunno how many of them sent a review about the item though.
New ebay "Note Edge Extended Battery" shows up with this result: http://www.ebay.com/itm/361216507361 Mugen Note Edge Extended Battery and Case 6000mAh.
As a loyal ZL customer since the note 2 i will not use any other extended batter other than ZL you guys heard any news on it yet ?
Never had the product but I heard of its huge battery on the note 3, I did some digging around and it wont be out maybe till christmas. Im still debating if I need such a huge thing in this slim phone.
From what I've heard, they're going to release one november-december
maybe they will have more damned colors besides white and black this time. Grrrrrr
I don't like the Note 3's extended battery... it's basically 3 batteries stacked and makes the note 3 HUGE.
I remember them doing a extended battery for note 2 and it was only 2 batteries on top of each other and was MUCH slimmer
No. Note 2 battery was also 3. This is how they got triple the capacity. I had both. The whole point of zl is to make it a brick so it will last an insane runtime. 2 batteries would require the same physical depth as 3 so i would not buy one if it was only 2 batteries.
This time i also will not buy one until i can buy the battery separate from the case (or with anycase ie not requiring me to buy 2 cases) and of a color other than purple pink black and white.

Received a message from Zerolemon also stating Nov-Dec release
regret that I have not heard anything about it. you can google to find
I just bought the official spare charger and battery from Bestbuy so no.
I bought the zero lemon for my note 2 and regretted it. There is just no need for it. I think getting a set of 2 batteries and a wall charger is much better. You still get about a week of battery without charging anything. And changing a battery twice in a week is better than carrying a brick all week. And I can't take a zerolemon to the gym, it would pull my shorts down.
Your just a different kind of user. I have drajned 75% of a zl in one day though usually i can get two solid days of use.
For us heavy users its a godsend. Swapping batteries does not appeal to use since it requires us to tear apart our devices from the cases we wrap them in to protect them.
If you use the phone naked and you can get a week out of 2 stock batteries your a completely different kind of user from that thst use zl's
Just wonder if anyone knows any extended battery that is better than stock OEM battery and slim? I am looking for slim, not bulky like zerolemon.
+1, would like to know this as well.

Usually fake Chinese batteries that are actually like 1200mHz or something.
If it were really possible to put that much more mAH at such a low price, don't you think Samsung would have done it by themselves?

Samsung did do it with the Korean S2 though. They came out with an OEM extended battery that fit within the stock hardware. (I had the ATT S2 and was so mad bc the battery wouldn't work on US models due to an issue where the US phone would enter a boot loop while charging)

I bought that battery way back when I had the S2 and it did need a different back. It only raised it ever so slightly. But it did need a new back.
What about the Anker 6440mah battery? Anybody tried it? Is it smaller than the zerolemon?

Sorry, but there's no way that battery can be 6150mAh if it's the same physical size as the original battery. Simply not possible (see the post two above yours).
Edit: The largest capacity available in the same physical size as the original is the PolarCell 3400mAh:

I've actually needed to buy a spare battery due to the {reboots} or shut downs or bootloops from the phone and i bough this...
" High Quality 5470mAh Battery F Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910P Smart Phone "
http://www.ebay.com/itm/282194394006?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
and I have been using it for about 2 weeks from now, and the battery use is good or even better as for my opinion, definetly brand new, lasts every percent instead of just shutting off on me on my old OEM battery, its kinda loose a tad in the compartment but the back cover fixes that... Other than that with heavey use after calibarting it for a whole day ,it lasts me about 3 - 4 hours (light) and or 2and a half to 3 hours when heavy. But definetly similair to the Galaxy S6 use for sure. Just wish it charged even faster and I'd be fine lol

Something doesn't seem right at that price. Also wont ship outside of the usa.
I bought this one recently. The battery seems like it is close to 3200mah and not the advertised 5450mah. But NFC works and performance is similar to samsung battery.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/5450mAh-Ext...681189?hash=item3a9f989925:g:B-sAAOSw1S9Wd6L7
I don't know if I have to do some tweaks in kernel to use the full mah capacity.
I tried to buy a supposedly genuine s7 battery from replacebase here in the UK, but it seems to last even less than my old, used battery.
After a couple weeks of using it, AccuBattery is reporting the capacity as 1800mAh, rather than the 3000 design capacity, so something is clearly not right.
While looking for genuine replacement batteries, I also wanted to see if there's any batteries available that are higher capacity than the default 3000mAh. The only one I could see is made by Polarcell, a german firm, and comes in at 3200mAh in the same size. It has good reviews so I would assume the capacity is genuine.
From a few xda posts like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/themes/note-7-note-8-battery-t3706904 it seems like the note 8 battery is also about the same size as the one in the s7, while having 3300mAh (10% higher capacity)
I was wondering if anyone has tried to fit a note 8 battery in their s7. Might give it a go if nobody has tried yet
