Hi all,
My Note 9 is on its way and because it's one of the biggest phone there is, I'm looking for a really slim case (clear) or another solution that will give some scratches and drop protraction but will be as unnoticeable as possible (will not add bulk) and keep the phone original dimensions.
Any suggestions ?
Spigen do a very slim case iirc
Imo the slim cases tend to be cheap & not very protective
I'm willing to sacrify much of the phone protection. I usually don't drop my phones.
How minimalist are the Spigen slim and clear cases?
I even though about clear or textured skin (Carbon like).
You can either use Dbrand skin, which is the bare minimum of any kind of protection or else how the other guy recommended Spigen.
I personally have and use Spigen's Air skin for my Note 8 and I forget I even have a case on and also nobody knows ?️

Maybe there's also a case for Note 9 (soon)

I'm feeling this case! ordered the red right away. Thanks!
Pitaka is where its at.But not available yet for the 9. Made of Aramid. Five times stronger than steel but just as light, it has been used in AeroSpace,
Racing Vehicles and Body Armor and loved for its excellent resistance to heat.

I ordered the Dome Glass for my N9. What do you think about their Dome Case (probably the best fit for their SP)?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FXZ1GY2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I think that I'll go for a back skin (clear or carbon) and a minimalist clear case for showcase (the Dome case or Spigen Ultra Hybrid/Liquid Crystal). Together with the Dome Glass it can be what I'm looking for.
If you are going for a back skin I got the matte black from phantomskinz. Looks awesome and can't wait to use it when my phone arrives. They also have a clear back too.

On my note 8 I used pitaka and whitstone never spent so much money so badly, pitaka on the lower and upper edges is very low and does not protect the glass at all if it falls, whitstone that should protect the glass after the fall is rome and ropes also display the telephone, 260 € of damages incurred.
We look for other viable alternatives that are not just marketing.

I bought one with my dome glass. Fairly thin but not the slimmest. A bit lacking on the screen protection side. Probably not the best case for frequent droppers.
would there be any clear PC cases with an ultra thin profile? looking for something with button cutouts. the note 8 official slim case was perfect. the clear version of the note 9 one is TPU, i'm not a big an of the feeeling of TPU cases and would love a recommendation on a ultra thin clear hard case

This case was actually picked up with the Paltinum (PT) branding @ Best Buy. I'm glad that I picked up something locally because my Trident case order has disappeared thanks to USPS.
It features:
Anti Static Coating - supposedly helps it to not grip your clothes. Overall feel I'd have to say leans towards slippery, but not as slippery as plain plastic. Has a little rubbery feel to it.
Play Through Design - All buttons are easily assessible. No rubber covers over existing buttons (ie power, home button, and volume rockers.
Face in Holster Design - This is suppose to protect the face of the device, but does not give you the option of viewing your phone without unholstering it like the Otterbox Defender case. Also small debris can get caught on the felt. This may put an abrasive object between the holster and your screen. Depends on the thickness of said piece of debris whether or not it could cause damage. The outsides of the case should provide a bit of standoff between the felt and glass normally.
Fully Removable Holster - Use with or without the holster. Your preference.

It works... Barely. Sliding it on did lift the glass protector off a little at corners but using fingernails to lift up on the black lip edge of the case made it pop up and the glass sat underneath just fine. It's a tight fit though
Hi! is it the same case as case from Seidio (SURFACE™)? Why this one has another logo? plastic? THX.

Because of the wonderful branding gods @ Best Buy.
I didn't find any official statement on this. Perhaps I should visit Seidio in Houston and ask for an official statement ha!
Too bad I'm not going to CTIA this year.
Hey guys I'm looking for a really slim case that isn't raised too much along the edges of the screen or cover too much of the sides of the device. A couple I'm looking at is the Obliq case, spigen capsule, spigen slim armor, or maybe the official Samsung protective case.
I have a tech 21 case now and it's ok but it's a bit bulky around the edges and kind of hides the shape of the phone.
I had the Tech21 case and currently have the Speigen Capsule and Samsung cases. The Tech21 was WAY too thick and bulky, and the buttons were hard to press. The Capsule is very thin, but has sharp edges IMO. I found it really uncomfortable to hold without it feeling like my hand may get cut (it never happened, but still hurt).
The Samsung case is awesome though. Fits beautifully and looks like it's a part of the phone. It protects really well too and hardly adds any thickness. I'd highly recommend it. It's worth the money 105%.

Yes, try Amazon.
Look up verus iron shield champagne gold galaxy note 4 review by real reviews on YouTube thy have a link in the description probably the best thin case for the note 4 in the link the have different colors also
Ringke Slim case is the slimmest one IMO by far at the expense of drop protection. The black one has a nice matte finish while the other colors are more glossy which I don't like.
It adds the least bulk and gives a bit of protection - I've dropped my phone onto hardwood floors a couple times from 3-4 feet. The case slightly deformed but the phone was perfect. However I expect any drop onto a hard surface like concrete will break the screen.
Like the previous post stated, the Ringke slim is super thin. The SF black has good grip.
I would go with the Samsung Protective cover though. a little thicker but you are drop protected and the case feels better in hand.
Ringke Slim 9.99
Samsung Protective Cover:
12.00 (Blue)
14.00 (Black)
15.00 (Red)
Thank you guys for the ideas. I really like how slim the ringke is but it makes me a little nervous. I think I'm torn between the Samsung protective case and the verus. Both look super nice although the Samsung appears to be a bit slimmer
I have a Verus Thor on mine, and I think it's pretty amazing for its slimness to protection ratio. Camera's protected, there's enough of a lip in front to protect the screen (I've got a tempered glass protector anyway), and if there's a con, it's that it fits so tight and snug that you don't want to take it off too often; I ended up buying a new dock just so I don't have to. Well, that, and it's not highly textured or rubbery, so it feels a little smoother in the hand than I see a lot of people liking. Fell out twice at work a few days ago--once onto concrete, once onto steel car wash railings--and it still looks pristine. I highly recommend it.

If by "thick enough that the camera isnt exposed," you mean that when you rest the phone on a table, the camera lens isnt resting directly on the flat surface, then yes. There is a lip around the camera lens that will keep it from touching any flat surface.
i want it too

Well after reading the comments from you guys I decided to pull the trigger on the blue Samsung protective cover. Seems like it offers good protection and a very slim form factor. I'll post some pics once it comes in the mail
That Samsung one looks nice. There is a great review on it from a guy named lawmanfj on youtube. I'll probably grab that one down the road. I just purchased the S-View case, and I really like it. It is a flip case, but it doesn't add much bulk. Seems like the drop protection might not be the best, but since it replaces your back battery cover, it's stay's slim. It does run about $26 through Amazon. I picked one up at Best Buy for a few bucks more, but got to try it out before purchasing.
You should post some pics when your case comes in, and give a review of it.
Does anyone know if there is a case like the Samsung Protective Cover, but replaces the battery door to make it slimmer? Basically i would like to find something with some protection around the edges, and a lip for the screen, but without adding to the thickness of the phone.
Just as the title asks...

Now I'm using Arozell M9 case on Amazon[ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B012ODTG82 ] over 6 months and it really did the job.The look of the case is amazing. It is made of a plastic that does not feel cheap. There are two interlocking pieces, which makes it simple to remove/put on the case without much hassle. On top of that, there is a stand that folds into the back of the case, when you close it has a very pleasant "clink" when you snap it open and closed. Even though it has this fold-out stand, it does not take up any unnecessary space like a lot of cases that you can find.
Most importantly for me, the case encloses the entire phone. Many cases you will find do not have plastic that wraps around all of the edges of the phone resulting in the entire bottom portion of the phone exposed. This one does protect all of the sides and bottom, with nicely contoured openings for the speaker, headphone jack, and lightning port.

I have 4 cases. The Ringke Slim Gold case which I posted on here already, the Orzly FlexiSlim in smoke black which i really like - its ultra thin!
http://orzly.com/orzly-flexislim-case-for-htc-m9-smoke-black.html
and currently I am using this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MYRIANN-Ult...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item46386f94b3
It's like the Poetic Atmosphere but its a clear case - I wish it was smoke translucent.
I've been using a black Ringke Slim. Super slim, love it.
Currenly using the Spigen Slim Armor... generally speaking, I find the Spigen cases to be about as "no-frills-y" as they get, but this one does come with an added feature... gonna post a separate blog about it, but I can definitely confirm that it successfully resisted a 2'-4' drop on corners and face down.

Im using this one with the InvisibleShield HDX screen protector, both recommended by the T-Mobile rep who checked me out when I got the phone. He uses the same setup on his M9, says his phone goes through hell, but it looked pristine to me. I've already dropped mine 10+ times in the 2 days I've had it, not a scratch. The "self-healing" tempered glass InvisibleShield is great for the screen, too.
I m using dot view ice premium and generic black slim case and I am happy with them up to now. No spigen purchased 'cause i think they do some bulky cases nowadays.

Ringke Slim
Switched to otterbox, had HTC dotview, but the binding started to rip so I returned it. HTC dotview is a cool concept , but is not practical if you use your phone a lot (IMO)
Went from Spigen Neo Hybrid to UAG and never looking back
Im using a Seidio dilex case with kickstand
Another vote for the Spigen Neo-Hybrid. Nice color choices for the bumper and not bulky.
My UAG arrived today and it looks and feels great. Very pleased.
I'm in the quest of finding a the most ultra slim case for our Edge+.
So far, I've seen the following:
Ringke Fusion
Spigen Ultra-Thin
i-Blaston Halo Series
Has anyone found anything else that's ultra slim?
The thinnest most minimal case I have is the Samsung protective cover. Other than the edges, and the clear back, there is very little protection.

I picked up the black silicone case at the Verizon (corporate) store for $19.99. I've used these before (Note 4) and this one feels like TPU rather than silicone. I like it. Closest thing would be an Incipio (not feather or dual pro) or even Diztronic. This one is quite thin. I do like the ring around the camera on the Diztronic though. (I have the S6 edge version of that one, have not heard of an ETA for E6+ or Note 5 yet)
thx for share, looks good!

I got the clear Spigen ultra thin. Very happy with the grip, and I dropped the phone for the first time yesterday with no damage incurred. Only con is that the left side of the case is a bit "floppy", it's not very tight against the side. Not sure if this is a defect or if they're all like this.
I got the clear Ringke FUSION case and like it a lot. Couldn't be happier.
i have put in an order for the Spigen Neo Hybrid Carbon
Its doesn't half look sexy, now it may not be 'Ultra thin' but its a very simple case, and it isn't adding the earth to the phone itself.
And i believe I am the authority on thinness after walking around happily for 2 years with 3 different HTC Universals (Brilliant phone for University I might add)

There is a company named calicase that does cases similar to peel. Super thin. I think it's like .35mm.
Hopefully it comes to the pixel as well. Had it for the notev7 and s6

The cases are slowly trickling out. I prefer the slim shells. But larger hard cases definitely offer better protection.

Sub'ing, I definitely want a PC thin case for mine as well.
Still, no one really thin showed up.. Waiting.. Add Calicase to the list.

Hopefully! I have a Ringke PC slim on my 5X now. Was wanting that but they're taking too long
I'm looking for the Spigen Airskin or similar for the Pixel series. I have one on my work phone, and it's the best for a bit of protection, especially from scratches. I've dropped it a few times on hard surfaces, and the case did prevent any damage to the phone itself. It's only 0.4mm thick.

I know! I had the Rinke on my Nexus 6. It's the best thin hard case I have ever used.
