I'm afraid to test them because I don't think any rollback packages exist from Oreo. I can't make or receive calls on any of the custom Nougat ROMs unless I switch to 3G.
Why wouldn't they? Vendor partition isn't touched. Also, i never had LTE problems on T-Mobile via custom roms with nougat. Are you sure your apn settings are correct? But.. as for OK roms, works perfectly because as i stated treble roms do not mess with bands. I believe you're in the telegram group, you can pm me if you need to. My name on their is DJ. Or agraceful

So now that I'm running a rooted S7 on Verizon (G930V), I'm looking into custom ROMs. Everything I can find seems to be for other variants. Is there anything for the G930V? I can't seem to figure out how to tell when most of the ROM's don't specify.
In the forums for the G935V they only have the firmware from the G935U, plus some minor changes to the U's firmware to allow Wi-Fi calling, etc. on Verizon's network.
I would assume that you could do the same, but make sure you only use the G930 and not G935's firmware. That's all that really exists at this time because the bootloaders are still locked and I'm not sure if there is a working method of TWRP around for the S7/E variants in the US.
I have been offered a great deal to buy a Sprint Essential version that has been unlocked. Does anybody have the Sprint unlocked version and verify TMobile WiFi calling works?

A million thanks, it's been hard trying to find a clear option on Google. Most carrier unlocked phone won't work with other carriers WiFi calling due to the firmware. To bad there isn't a Essential phone 2 planned anymore
So those APN's pertain to the WiFi calling? Never new that lol

No the apn is just the one I use here in Ohio. To enable the feature you need to flash an open market firmware. Go to the essential site and install the P update, it's super easy to sideload. Or if u want Oreo, the July Oreo open market firmware works and has WiFi calling. I got my essential from sprint and it was there soon as I flashed a open market firmware.all that means is it's the non carrier specific firmware that has all features
Is there a version of Android P with open market Firmware?
Hey just out of curiosity do you know if the phone is carrier locked, will flashing the open market Firmware, will it unlock it?

Yes the one on there is open market.and yes, flashing the open market firmware will carrier unlock it. Not all phones, just with essential.it was a "loose" Carrier lock
The one I'm getting is already carrier unlocked, for $200 in mint condition with the 360 camera is too good too pass up
But good to know

On the download page there only one download link. Does it detect which version the phone has while installing? I'm going to download the fast boot and try to install it. See how it goes
Update
I installed the Pie Sprint/ Open Market fastboot file but when I try to turn on WiFi calling the UI closed and takes me to lockscreen. I'm going to download the March 2018 fastboot file since it only has an option for Open Market only and then try to update over the air to Pie

I've been playing with the firmware and no luck yet but I have been keeping everything stock and no luck activating TMobile WiFi calling. Are you stock or custom rom?

Stock,is your bootloader unlocked?
I have the same issue, original Sprint phone, payed it off, switched to TMobile, wifi calling works on Oreo, but won't turn on with Pie, causes a crash

Yes, I typed "fastboot flashing unlock" and it promoted me on the phone to unlock it. After I downloaded the Pie fastboot file and typed "flashall.bat" and it took a few minutes to install. Actually my TMobile still card was working and after trying different build it Sim locked it.
After it Sim locked I unlocked the bootloader and tried to flash different builds and letting it boot with the bootloader locked and unlocked and no lock. I just wanted the TMobile WiFi calling lol
The guy I bought the phone from contacted Sprint and sent a unlock request. I hope it unlockes it. I guess it is carrier locked through the bootloader and not the firmware. However that works

Before I tried flashing different builds same thing was happening on Pie when trying to activate WiFi calling but not sure if was an issue with Pie because the firmware is a Sprint Variant or because something because just a bug that hadn't been worked out yet

It unlocks it if u put in your t Mobile SIM before updating it.that unlocked mine. Then flash the updated firmware. Everything has worked flawlessly on Oreo or p. I have had only Oreo on it for a minute here in there when testing treble roms. When I needed to go back to stock before flashing p. For some reason when I would flash a treble gsi, then go back to p without flashing Oreo in between I would lose WiFi and Bluetooth. Make sure to do a fastboot -w before flashing.

When I was playing with it after it had sim locked, went back to nougat just to see if the TMobile WiFi worked but after a minute or two it Sim locked and wouldn't even let open the lockscreen. After that I had gone back to either Oreo out Pie but not sure and it had sim unlocked. But after that I tried flashing different firmwares just to try to see if the TMobile WiFi would work but it Sim locked it again and couldn't get it to unlock it after.
What you mean fastboot -w before flashing?
You think I should flash a Oreo firmware first with my sim in it, let it boot then flash Pie or
Flash Oreo firmware, not let it boot then flash, Pie firmware?
Or should I flash the Oreo firmware that update to Pie through OTA file through ADB?
Finally got my phone unlocked. I'm on Pie but when I try to turn WiFi calling the app closes. Has anybody had any luck with it?

Good happy to hear. Mine works fine. Same thing as you...was Sprint phone, t mobile sim did nothing and still showed Sprint prl lock. stuck my t mobile sim in, allowed it to update to P beta via adb sideload..when it booted up was t mobile. WiFi calling and all. Been sideloading new updates and customizing for 3 months now.love it!.

Your Pie correct with WiFi calling working correctly? I read on Reddit users had luck by installing the open market firmware, setting up the phone and WiFi calling, then installing the OTA to Pie and got it working
I tried so many combinations to unlock but no luck. Luckily the guy I bought it from let have his old Sim card. Left it there for an hour. Changed the APN settings to global then inserted my Sim card and it unlocked
SOLUTION:
Well I finally got TMobile WiFi calling to work. Had to install Oreo open market firmware, setup TMobile WiFi calling and then update to Pie through OTA and now it works on Pie.
I saw a thread on Reddit where some people had luck by just resetting WiFi/Bluetooth/Network settings and then activating WiFi calling.
Also read that doing hard reset will cause you to lose WiFi calling for other companies other than Sprint. Good luck everybody
Hi all, I have a question; At my work we have very spotty coverage, so the lack of wifi calling is an issue for me. Is it possible to get wifi calling by unlocking the bootloader and flashing a lineage or RR ROM? If so, is there any reason I can't flash a custom ROM over the current version of stock firmware? (I have the H3223 model)
Also, if for some reason I can't flash a custom ROM, would it instead be possible to flash one of the European stock ROMs onto my phone and instead enabling wifi calling that way?
TIA
Mike
Kind of the price you pay when you buy an unlocked phone. It was a miracle that the xz premium got WiFi calling. So the odds of someone here building something that turns it on is slim. Custom roms might have the option in the menu but it's essentially a placebo on most roms

It is working perfectly fine, although my device model number is KB2001.
You may have to flash the Indian firmware to make it work.

I had the same problem on a Samsung S8+ (purchased abroad).
The solution was to flash the local firmware and everything worked after that.
You are probably flashing the OS. I'm saying you have to flash the FIRMWARE (which is different from the OS).
Someone who has a custom recovery installed may be able to help you.

Cool, Thanks for letting me know. I will look it up. If you have any threads that can help me, I would really appreciate that
Update: Just a clarification mate, by flashing firmware, do you mean flashing the global rom from fastboot? If so, that is how I flashed global rom on my T-Mobile. All the articles when I search for flashing firmware is pointing to the flashing from fastboot which is what I did.

8T is a very new device, and I don't think the required files are available yet. As far as I know, even TWRP isn't available yet for this device.
Once a custom recovery is available, someone who has the KB2001 model may be able to extract the required files and pack them in a flashable zip. It is these files that are primarily what distinguishes one model number from another.
This is NOT the OS/ ROM. The Firmware contains the modem and other driver files to support the telecom bands/ spectrum (among others) used in a specific region. I'm afraid you have to wait for now, as there is unlikely to be an immediate solution now.
You can try at the service centre though. They may be able to help here (although very unlikely).
I'm trying to use this phone for its 5g modem for tethering but since it comes with a T-mobile rom I think it phones home when tethering is enabled. The usual iptable mangle in openwrt doesnt work.
I'm wanting to do the same. Haven't gotten the phone yet.
Can Magisk be installed? Or are Samsung's Locked down these days? Then you could just use the prop config to add the tethering line.

Unfortunatly, this variant has been extra locked down by T-Mobile so it cant be rooted. T-Mobile branded phones are know for having extra security measures that make it even harder to root or flash the phone.

I honestly don't know. The fact that this is not a snapdragon phone makes it a better candidate than other U.S. Samsungs.
If we can get it unlocked and rooted... I'd love to help development of AOSP for it.

I would recommend downloading with Frija and flashing with Odin3B modded (lastest version)

I've managed to build PithBlack CWM recovery as well as AOSP Android R/11 today using extracted OTA kernel, but I'm not going to post it just yet, since this is first build that I've technically done "on my own" I want to find someone knowlageable to look through my out images and sources that I've used to build them.
Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure A326U/A326U1 will need new build.
