Hi someone can share a easy way to make small ota update when the system got twrp, unlocked bootloader and root access ? I feel bored to go to full stock b131 each time and now with nougat I can add the rollback step...
I hope there is a best way to do this, maybe with stock recovery.img flashed for the update ?
Thanks :highfive:

Hello, i have unlocked and rooted Mate 9 L29C432B182. After unlocking & rooting first few weeks i get an update to B190 but i didnt update because of TWRP. But then it tried to update itself and stuck on TWRP screen. I reboot my phone back and it was gone. And i never get ota updates. I want to update to emui 8. Or should i update?
First you need to flash back stock recovery, download firmware (C432B182 in your case) from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/ and extract RECOVERY using Huawei Update Extractor then flash the extracted recovery image using fastboot.
Next see if you can use Firmware Finder to update.
And you won't be able to update to Oreo using regular OTA, unless you are approved for beta. Official Oreo should release sometime in December.
want know if i do Unlock Bootloader & Install TWRP Recovery that will stop the update

yeap but why you want ota update when you have bl unlocked and twrp installed
Sorry to disagree, but my Poco F1 is unlocked and rooted (twrp + magix) and i still receive ota
It just "unroot" and replace twrp by the stock recovery each time an ota updates the phone
Yesterday i received the Android 10 OTA update. just have to reflash recovery with minimal_adb_fastboot, then reinstall magix. Tha't all
(if any question, i root for Titanium backup usage and Adfree )
Unlocked boot custom recovery never got one update so flashed a beta ROM instead and never looked back if I want to update just download the latest version of the ROM I currently use and flash away........
Flash Orangefox recovery enable ota update feature, then clean flash your stock rom. You don't have to do anything after that. when update shows up download and update as usual
my last update january 1-2020
i want update my phone
so do i need last update only or should download all of them ?
Hey I have a ROG Phone 5 WW and I wanted to flash a GSI and after a while I wanted to go back to stock so I flashed a raw WW firmware and since I don't receive OTA updates (it was working before).
Does anyone have the solution?

Can someone help me please ?
you can just download the firmware from asus website. and place it in the root folder. after that restart the phone. i got no update too
When you unlock bootloader, which You have done to flash GSI, your device is automatically blacklisted for OTA updates, so no more OTAs even after flashing stock firmware and relocking bootloader. You can update manually, download latest firmware from Asus website, put it on root directory of internal storage, system will detect and apply update. Bootloader can be locked or unlocked, in both cases it will work.

Oh okay thanks for the information
If your bootloader is unlocked and if you're rooted you won't get the updates you will have to manually update that's what I do. There's a way you can keep root without having to reroot as far as the OTA slot. Download the firmware put it in the internal root of your phone and reboot it will automatically pick it up but if you are rooted you can keep root and update at the same time ota
