Hi all,
I'm 100% stock from day one, bootloader not unlocked.
I think but am not sure if started after our 1st ota: randomly I get force closes in various apps (and I have very little installed!) like Android Message, Google Photos or my bank app ...
I reset my U12+, ok for a few days et voila here we go again...
Also, I uninstalled Boost+ from the beginning, so it can't be because of it.
Anyone else has this issue ? Any idea ?
Oh, I was about to forget one thing: this very first time I bought my phone from Amazon. Thinking it's not normal to have random force closes on a brand new phone, I asked and have been granted a replacement. I should receive my new one next Tuesday or Wednesday.
Very first time I have an issue on my long history with hTC...
Are the apps that force-close all 3rd party apps? Have you tried factory reset?

Yes you said like Android messages blah blah blah. How would I know if that's really all your installed apps. That's why I asked if there were any other possible 3rd party apps that's having the same issue. And yes I saw you said reset. Not factory reset so hence the suggestion. Good luck with your problem.

Hey, no offense meant
My bank app is a 3rd party one and has force closed 2 times, before and after factory reset.
The apps I mentioned were the ones I encountered the issue with.
I'll see what happens with my next U12+...

I received my new U12+, so far so good with the 1.21.401.3 ota installed.
It may confirm the previous one I just sent back had some kind of hardware issue...

Hi,
My girlfriend has the moto g and since this morning it's unusable: every second comes a crash message that a app fc. All apps belonging to Google (YouTube, calendar...) are crashing and especially the launcher. It's just possible to go to settings via quick toggles. But I can't delete any data etc from apps. And it won't accept any changes to any settings. I can't open any app because the launcher doesn't work...
The problem: it's an unrooted, totally stock phone with just a few apps (whatsapp, chronus...) . Now I wanted to ask if anyone can help and maybe knows this problem and how to fix it. And: I can't connect it to the PC (win7). Anyone has a link and a description to install the USB drivers? I tried all the "normal" ways with Motorola device manager and manually install USB drivers. I want to backup the messages and pictures before I try a factory reset. I rebooted it in secure mode, but all the problems still exist...
I hope anyone can help... Thanks in advance!
I want the moderator to ban me.

If it always crashes how would you be able to back up SMS and picture? Try to go to the store you bought your phone or call your tech support. But if nothing happens you just need to factory reset your phone.

If it connects to the pc, you can easily make a backup of these things. The Problem is that it doesn't connect because i have problems finding the correct usb driver.

As much as we want to, but I think, there's no way to back it up. You just need to factory reset it.

Already tried a factory reset - doesn't work. Can't even boot into recovery... Now it's sent back to Motorola I would love to know what happened there on a complete stock phone with just a very few apps and just used for messaging, calls and photos. I hope Motorola says what went wrong when the phone is repaired.
Try to uninstal apps and try instal again.Maybe not completed installed before.
My girlfriends phone started doing the exact same thing this morning, what was the outcome? Did they replace the phone?
Since my other thread didn't any answer I want to give another try before confirming that the community is dead.

I noticed that everytime I reset my phone it automatically installed a couple of games, and this time pandora app also. The weird thing is I went through the phone initial setup without sign in google play store or samsung.
It is kind of bother me somewhat.
Does anyone know how they get installed ?

I believe it is caused by BY Ignite, since I've deleted it I don't get any game installs upon factory reset.
How do you delete ignite when it is automatically install as part of the factory reset?
Do you mean right after factory reset ?
I've had to factory reset a few times for different reasons. I'm rooted and deleted BT Ignite as soon as I did and deleted all games, and after factory reset no new games or apps were installed. If you're rooted delete it or rename it so it can't run. If not rooted you can disable it With a few different apps.
First issue is app badges. When i read message or check missing calls whatever it is general issue, the notification badge on app icon does not reset it self. Badge keeps as it is for 1 hour and then reset. Tried clearing badge provider but no solutuon.
Cant install apps from google play normally, it downloads to %100 and stays as it is. When i kill the google play and restart it then it installs the app.
Randomly getting really laggy with device.
When i am on call with bluetooth headphone and using my device, the device gets laggy. Cant switch wifi or install apps. Its like device gets my actions but does not proceed. When i end calls it starts proceed my actions one by one.
Tried factory reset, reinstalling stock firmware, all same. My device is stock and never rooted.
Btw, I see touchwiz update on sammobile but neither samsung apps or google play does not update the launcher. I try to install the apk from sammobile manually but it gives error like i have an app as same name as it is. So cant update to last version of touchwiz i stuck at 6.1.02
Any help for these issues or explinations? Thanks.
Is your device snapdragon version?

I hate this, only choice is either install a new launcher or long press the icon and select "clear badge."

Not sure, it's something that generally happens with Samsung devices.

You tried everything, could be a hardware issue. As for the touchwiz update, it could be for a different version then yours. I wouldn't be worried if you don't see the update unless your seeing other people with the sane phone get the updates.

None issue you mentioned I face it, by the way mine is Exynos edition.
Suggest Factory reset your phone, don't restore anything (this part is freaking important). Start as flash new phone setup.
As for Touchwiz, 6.1.02 is the latest version.
Snapdragon here, none of these issues are present on my device.
Exynos here. I did not facr these issues until last firmware update. After factory reset it was awsome for 1 week. Then again here my problems.
I highly suggest to return the phone to samsung and get a new one.. your phone seems to have a hardware issues.
I only have the common issues which is fingerprint sensor stops working sometimes. I never tried bluetooth so i can't confirm if i have any.
As many here also suggest that you should start fresh factory reset your phone and install your apps directly from the play store. If you had any problems with the playstore don't bather your self to fix the problem go directly to nearest samsung center and ask for an exchange unit.

Snap dragon here and I have no clue what these problems are....thank goodness of course
Use Nova launcher. Problem solved.
Galaxy S8+ Black
clear cache from the boot menu. May help before you return it.
My S8+ started opening automatically every app I install or update from play store. It's really annoying.. I thought I can fix it with a factory reset, but it didn't help.
What I tried:
- Full factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
- Disable then re-enable play store
- Clearing all data in app settings
What else can I do?
Here's a quick video of the problem right after the factory reset:
I can't see well enough, but I think you phone is updating. What happens after they all update? Does that solve the issue?
For me, it will do the same unless I can get to Play Store, Settings, and turn off "Auto Updates", and sometimes, still then, individually go to the active update list and individually cancel each app before, or as it's updating. It's a PITA

It's not normal at all. I'm using this phone since july and never did this before. Yea after the initial setup finished and all apps were updated, the problem still persist. When I connect to WiFi and my apps starting updating, each one opens. Basically, I'm unable to use my phone when the apps are updating.
I had to turn off auto-updating and now I have to start manually updating my apps...
There are many old threads about this bug, besides wipeing cache noone said anything useful to fix the issue.
Yeah, I have not heard of it, but also have not experienced it. If it is annoying enough, and no more simple solution, I'd return to an earlier backup san the issue, or no backup, do a full wipe and fresh install. Something is definitely corrupted, near as I can tell.
Well, luckily the Oreo update fixed the issue.
Hi Feribox, did you do anything different before the Oreo update? Coz, I'm on it right now and this exact thing is happening.
What's even weirder is it seems the apps never close, I have some apps that suddenly just up and play an ad (these are apps that I did install though) so I don't think it's malware.
I am unable to use my new Teclast 40 tablet because when an app starts up and is working fine a popup appears saying `xxx keeps closing... ' and there is no option to dismiss the false warning. I have ran 2 anti virus plus Malawarebytes and my device is clean. Help please!

Does the 'xxx' in the warning message stand for an app name? Are you sure from which app the message was?
Do a factory reset. Nothing to loose if you haven't used it much.
Be careful what you load next time... if you did load any apps on it.

I came up with this in a google search:
[solved] All my apps (even system) crash randomly, Asus can't fix it
Hi, At some times my ASUS ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) phone is unusable but Asus's after-sales service does not find the problem and simply updates it when I send it to them. I haven't figured out what's causing the problem. This can happen to me...

If a factory reset doesn't solve it, it may be a hardware failure.

Hello all,
Thank you so much for the replies. I did manage to sort this out. It is a corruption of Google Play Services. Uninstalling and installing it again solves the problem.
This happens frequently, I gather, as I found online many people facing the same problem

Yay
Clearing it's data may be all that's needed.
I clear this messy apk's data a lot as well as firewall block it most of the day.

I forgot to mention that I had written the string "xxx" to mean that the problem appeared with any and all my apps.
