Hi,
I don't see an option to enable HEVC which gets used for 4K but not for 1080p. Any solutions? Have others requested Huawei/Honor for it?

I just bought the note pro 12.2 and there is no 1080p option in youtube app. only up to 720p
How can I enable 1080p option?
Are you sure it's not just a particular video you're watching isn't available in 1080p?
I'm currently watching Marques Brownlee's (MKBHD) video on the Apple Watch in 1440p on my wifi model. The 1080p option is also available.

I tried the same video. (mkbhd). all the videos in youtube shows only 720p.
I have rooted my note pro 12.2 wifi and changed dpi setting. I tried default dpi but the result was same
I don't know what to do to fix it.

problem solved. uninstalling youtube updates fixed the problem.
Youtube 1080
I read somewhere that the 720p had come about due to the fact that the videos are only being streamed at that resolution... even if they purport to be 1080p or even higher.
Is it possible to capture 4k and slomo (or even raw dng) video with this phone via a mod or a 3rd party app? I'm thinking of getting this phone if it thus
You can do slow motion with SloPro but the playback won't be smooth with the stock 30fps video recording. Anyone knows a way hack the fps limit?? Please tell meeee..........
Our device do not support 4k videos may be 2k can be possible with mod
whether it was possible to record in resolutions higher than 1080p?
Hi all,i hope my question is posted in the correct place. Something i am rather curious about and constantly wonder about is my device's screen resolution. Now i know that the Z5 Premium came with a 4k display, what im not sure of is why my device (Z5 E6653) has the "ability" to record 4k video clips,if it doesnt have a 4k capable display?
Am i wrong in my understanding that shooting in 4k is useless because my device is not capable of showing 4k resolution anyway? Or is my device 4k capable and if so,why cant one then manipulate the display to use a 4k resolution setting permanently? Please could someone enlighten me.
You capture a 4K video and watch this video on your phone? Actually 5.5 inches display is useless for 4K.. Watch on TV or a projector..
You should watch the 4K video (which you recorded with your phone) on a 4K capable display, like a 4K TV. When you play that on your phone,it'll be downscaled to 1080p. So if you don't have a 4K display, it would be useless to record 4K videos. Except if you want your videos to have the best quality for future use.
Hi All!
I have a strange issue when i recording a video with my OP6. The file size is very big in 720P, 1080P and 1080P 60fps.
I attached 5 screenshot from 5 different recording mode.
720P, 1080P, 1080P 60fps, 4K and 4K 60fps.
I have stock OOS 9.0.5 on rooted phone.
Its that a bug or something else?
I have the solution.
I installed an module for Magisk, that is the reason of the higher bitrate of the 720P, 1080P and 1080P 60fps videos.

Hello, I have a quest regarding my XZ Premium and Youtube playback @ Vanced/Smartyoutube next. I started noticing lately that my phone ( running on Android 9 stock, if that matters ), can't play HDR content using the VP9 codec, it maxes out at 1440p60fps no HDR in HDR enabled clips ( like
) or 4k30fps in standard 4k clips. With no VP9 codec disabled, therefore most probably AVC enabled, I can play up to 1080p60fps HDR videos but they stutters like hell. Is this normal ? Shouldn't this phone be able to run Youtube HDR content without many issues ? Or atleast 4k60fps clips ? My cheap Android 9 TV-Box can play 4k60fpsHDR Youtube videos without any issues, for example...
Make sure you are manually choosing 4K/60/HDR from the quality menu in YouTube. It should work.

I am...doesn't work. Either there is no HDR option with VP9 enabled, or I can select 1080p60fpsHDR at most but with heavy stuttering ( with VP9 disabled ).
