I'm currently on a ROM based on 8.1 that doesn't appear to support multiple Bluetooth devices (Havoc ROM) For instance, I'm looking to connect my Gear S3 and car Bluetooth at the same time and it simply does not let me.
Rather than flashing back to stock to find out and being forced to redownload everything, can someone tell me if the latest release for OP6's stock ROM supports multiple devices being connected at the same time?
I know Android P will cure this, but I am curious if it can be done now.
Thank you guys! Loving this phone so far

hello guys,
i have a recent problem that i could not find a way to fix. the thing is, when i use the stick during the it's connected to tv(seeing the android on tv) it's ok. but when i switch the hdmi interface to some other device like ps3, the stick is stuck/frozen after a few minutes, so when i switch back to android i see nothing. it was identified here as mk802iii clone, and i tried the 1.7 finless rom, as well as 2dark4u's rom. none helped.
do you have any workarounds for this particular problem ?
thanks in advance.
Hi,
I've got yesterday sw2. It is really cool, but sometimes i have problem with bluetooth. Sw2 seems to be connected with phone, but when i start some app, it is loading, but this app don't start. I must restart my watch and then everything works fine, but then when i don't use it for a while it didn't want start against. I am using nexus 5 with custom rom. Where can be a problem?
I am having the same problem. Also a nexus 5 with custom rom. Maybe this is a nexus issue?
Which kernel are you running on the phone.
I am using latest Droidkang rom with stock cm kernel.
Some times I will clear phone's RAM to temporarily resolve this problem.
Any ideas anyone? I have the same problem on stock 4.3 on HTC One Max. It drives me nuts ^^
Stock Nexus 5 has no such issue so I'd start with the kernel /ROM bluetooth compatability. Certain apps seem to lose their state occasionally I've noticed. They generally just need to be closed and reopened though. No reboot has been necessary.

Difficulty with MediaTek devices
I have a Wiko Stairway, which is built on MediaTek platform. Pairing is difficult but possible. I don't know whose fault it is, MediaTek or Sony or both?
Still I find it awkard that I have to install 10MB of Sony software just to establish a faulty connection.
My workaround:
Pair the devices without installing the Smart Connect suite
Install Smart Connect and restart watch
Start Smart Connect and wait a while. It should now find the watch and prompt for installing the add-on
Turn bluetooth off and on on both devices
It should now work
Problem is that every now and then the connection is dropped and you may have to toggle bluetooth on either watch or phone or both. Even sometimes a restart is required.
A work around might be to see if force closing the app 'bluetooth share' temporary resolves the issue. If that's the case you could set up a tasker task to kill bluetooth share every 8 hours or so. You might need a plug-in to properly kill bluetooth share with tasker.
Afternoon all.
I love my N5 and am keen to stick with it - however I have an issue with Bluetooth.
I am a keen runner and user a Garmin Forerunner 220 GPS. This has the ability to pair with a Garmin app using BTLE to transfer run data. However, Garmin are saying that there are underlying issues with the N5 implementation of BTLE that makes this unreliable - resulting in a need to re-pair the devices in the app everytime I turn BT off, or reboot the phone. Due to where I work, I have to do this every day and its a pain!
More details here: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?75976-Compatible-Devices
and some of the reasons for the issues here (I was pointed to this link by Garmin in the thread above): http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/533189/20140107/nexus-5-7-android-4-kitkat.htm#.UxCieF5yFvY
So my question.... is there a ROM available that would give me the same underlying bluetooth stack as the Samsung phones that Garmin declare as compatible (S3/S4, Note2/Note3) ? Would this mean trying to put a pre-KitKat ROM onto the N5 (is this even possible?), or is there a KitKat based ROM that has the same underlying bluetooth stack as the Samsung devices ?
(ps I'm happy flashing ROMs etc. The Samsung devices I have had in the past had a different ROM most weeks! N5 is currently stock but unlocked and rooted).
Hey guys! So I'm (hopelessly) trying all the ways to make this work but simply can't. Both Xperia Z3 and the new Suzuki Vitara are MirrorLink 1.1 compliant, however, after successfully establishing the connection via the USB calbe to the car, the phone doesn't react to any attempts to launch the apps from the car's touchscreen even though it signals the connection as alive and shows the apps on the phone. Repeatedly tapping on one of the apps on the car's touchscreen brings the app up for a split of a second but then it simply closes.
Has any of you managed to connect to MirrorLink successfully, preferably in the exact same combination of the car and the phone?
Thanks a lot for any advice!
P. S.: Please no replies telling me to try a different USB cable and similar, been there, done that.
Reveet to kitkat. Unfortunately only solution... And tell us if it worked... Good luck

UPDATE: Older versions of Lollipop (ending with .28) as well as KitKat ROMs have absolutely zero issues. Therefore, the only solution at the moment seems to be not updating to the Android 5.1.1 builds.
I'm wondering if there is any way to get the Mirrorlink APKs from earlier builds and deploy on 5.1
Are you sure about it? My Xperia Z1 have the 5.0.2 ROM, and does not show up - Connects but cannot do anything else, " Repeatedly tapping on one of the apps on the car's touchscreen brings the app up for a split of a second but then it simply closes" - same here.

Yep, tried and tested. I reported the bug the official way and presumably a fix will come in one of the future firmwares (Marshmallow would be my guess).
Hi.
I've successfully ported a Marshmallow rom to an old tablet that was running Kitkat.
Almost everything works ok, but I can't pair a bluetooth keyboard I need to use.
The tablet can pair with other android devices, and can send and receive files.
Also, the keyboard works with any other device and with the tablet doing a downgrade.
When I try to connect the keyboard to the ported tablet it's detected and shows the pin alert, I type the pin on the keyboard and then nothing else happens.
I've dumped the bluetooth logs and I've seen that, in the ported tablet, the log stopped when waiting for the pin. In any other device the log continues showing the complete connection.
I've tried to replace any bluetooth library form stock to ported rom, individually and by sets, and can't get it better (ever worst)
So please, can anyone help me? Where should I look for making it work?
Thanks and best regards.
PS: I've attached the HCI log files: the one named huawei is for the well pairing device, and the other is the problematic pairing with the ported tablet.
