LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void. Knox 0x1.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* lost data due to failed backups, etc, etc.
* flash at your own risk
*/
How to flash this ROM:
Download the zip file. (Make sure to download the file for your specific device)
Make sure this zip file is saved to your device (I prefer transferring to sd card to allow for full wipe of data on phone).
If you want Google Play functionality, download OpenGApps (link below). (optional)
Reboot into TWRP (Volume Up + Home + Power or Advanced Restart).
Make a backup (optional).
Wipe System, Data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache partitions with Advanced Wipe. (I like wiping internal data too, do NOT wipe SD Card!)
Flash the ROM you just downloaded.
Flash OpenGApps for Android 8.1 if you want Google services (optional).
If you want root, flash Magisk.
Reboot and proceed normally with installation.

Hola, buenos días, gracias por compartir tu trabajo,¿Funciona para n900v?
Hello, good morning, thanks for sharing your work, does it work for n900v?

Yes, the n900v shares the hltetmo code name in LineageOS so it should work.
Try it and let me know ?

Perfect
I just installed it on my N900V and excellent works: Automatic rotation to ?, Bluetooth very well, is not cut, only calls with Bluetooth do not work, but otherwise very well, thank you very much, very well work, congratulations ?

Thanks. I just noticed now that Bluetooth calls aren't working for me either, but Bluetooth music playback is smooth without cutting in and out, so that's a plus.
I'll be working on getting Bluetooth calls fixed, hopefully by next weekly build which I'll probably do on the weekend.

Working well here. It appears that using the speakerphone during a call mutes the microphone. Only thing I've noticed so far. Thanks for this!

What version of note 3 are you running? I use speakerphone on my TMobile note 3 for all my calls and haven't had an issue with the mic being muted yet.
Are you rooted? If so, how?
Using Xposed?

I am rooted (Magisk v16.0), no Xposed yet. Pretty sure my modem and whatnot are out if date but hadn't updated them yet as they were working with Lineage 14.1. Made the mistake of encrypting and now can't get into TWRP. I'll try to check logs later and see if I can get anymore info. Sounds like it's gonna be on my end.

I haven't updated my twrp in a while, its still 2.7, still should work right?

It's possible, but most devs recommend using TWRP 3.0.2+ for any Android version 6.0 or higher. We're doing 8.1 with this ROM so I'd definitely upgrade TWRP first.

Is there a difference between the twrp you linked above and the ones found at this link:xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ??? (I'm not allowed to post links yet, but google "twrp hltetmo" and you'll see what I'm talking about)
I found that part of TWRP's site with google - and couldn't figure out how to actually navigate to that page from within their site...
Also, I have two questions, you mention in OP that you are not having radio power issues - what you listed as (3) describes a bug I have been seeing frequently running RR - is this still the case a week later? And, how is the phone working with regards to incoming/outgoing calls?

Updated my link, I accidentally put link to hlte twrp instead of hltetmo specific one.
As for #3 on the problems list of OP, I'm still running the same build and the network is still working well. Incoming and out going calls working just fine. I have bad cell reception at work, on previous ROMs I would leave work and still have no signal until I reboot my phone. On my current ROM I can just step outside and the network kicks on again.
I get my larger hard drive from Amazon tomorrow so I plan on releasing a new build tomorrow night if all goes well.
(Wed night, Aug 22nd, or Thurs night at the latest)

@Jfuginay are you using the FPL1 firmware. It's been a while so I was thinking about fully flashing the latest Stock firmware and then ROMing from there. That way I can rule out any firmware issues and start completely fresh. Piece of mind, ya know?
Edited for the nightlies to start rolling :victory:

No, I'm on a different one. Screenshot attached. Will be doing a clean install of latest build once it finishes compiling before uploading.

Coming from latest Stock N900TUVUFQD2 I am unable to boot into any version of twrp over 2.8.7.0. Will this rom boot with this version of twrp?
Any help booting into the latest version of twrp is also appreciated.

New 8/24/2018 build is up, follow original download link to locate and download file.
Built on my Toshiba Tecra z40a running Lubuntu (first build was on an old HP pavillion laptop)
Build took only 3 hours and 40 minutes, my first build on older laptop took over 11 hours!
Visit LineageOS 15.1 for changelog. Most changes are to lineage apps and small kernel tweaks.

I gave the original build a try after posting earlier. The radio definitely works better than with RR - while I have had a few instances where it seems the signal gets "stuck" on GMS or EDGE, a quick toggle of airplane mode quickly clears things up. Also, the built in dialer in the DIGITS app works much better - texting & calling over wifi both work (sometimes I have to toggle wifi to get it to connect, but I think that might be an issue on t-mobile's end).
I'll be trying your latest build just after I post this reply.

I am using Twrp3.2.3. I believe you can upgrade by installing from within TWRP or flashing with ODIN.
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxynote3qualcomm.html -->read the install instructions here
https://dl.twrp.me/hltetmo/ -->download the file for your chosen method here
Last time I went back to stock, I flashed the FQD2 firmware with ODIN 3.12, CF-AutoRoot (odin again), then twrp3.2.3(also with odin).

Cant upgrade to any twrp higher than 2.8. and no rom not even one boots on my note 3
i even flashed this N900TUVUFQD2 stock rom in hopes that maybe my bootloader was outdated but it did not help., I still cant boot any rom . they either bootloop or dont get past flashing also my phone says qulcom secure boot enabled (CSB) in odin is that normal... note 3 tmobile

Extras included in this rom are: Smartbar, Network traffic speed indicator and CMTE.
I got an FC on AudioFX but ended up installing busybox and subsequently V4A and I don't have any more FC
Please leave feedback. I will post my findings too. :good:

Camera: Its getting there....
DT2W: I will try and add this in the next build
Radio for castor isnt working
If the ROM for the Castor-LTE is ready and downloadable I will test it 5 minutes later
here you go!

Downloading.... and making a backup now
Problem:
Flashed TWRP 3.0.0 with fastboot and then TWRP doesn't start
Flashed back to TWRP 2.8x. Flashing the CM13 ZIP results in an immediately rebooting TWRP after 2 seconds.
Then flashed the kernel from the CM13 Zipfile and tried the CM Recovery==> checksum error for the flashable CM13 ZIP.
What do I wrong?
---------- Post added at 06:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:45 PM ----------
all reloaded and made again form start! Now it's flashing and booting CM13
More about the test install later.....
Flashed original Firmware and wiped all for 2 times and then flashed ROM + Gapps:
CM13 is booting but not recognize SIM-Card neither WLAN
It claims "No SIM-card" and enabling WLAN cycles endless.....

stable for daily use (I use WiFi version), much better than original SONY MM ROM in terms of lags, battery friendly
bugs: mostly not working camera (not important to me), missing DT2W, crashing AudioFX (unless disabled)
today I'm going to test charging, have last 6% in battery
thanks to @bacon612 for this ROM, excellent work, hope you will implement DT2W soon
Edit: switched to AOSP 7.1 for now, had 3 random reboots in cca 5 days, so going to test stability in N
Does the kernel/ROM support quick charge as well as the latest stock?
On Android Host are two new builds with new dates.
Are this automatic builds or do they contain any new fixes?
Especially my castor has no Wlan and no LTE with the first build? I think there are some blobs missing.
But no comment from the author up to now

Hi there. I just did a repo sync and built to include whatever Cyanogenmod has merged until 11/11 including November security patch. You can try the castor build to see if it works but I haven't changed anything. If you let me know that it didn't work for you I'll try to get it to work.
Sent from my HTC One M9 using XDA-Developers mobile app
OK I will try it.
But all the behaviour of the not-activating-wlan is like some weeks before with the AOSP build. You can enable the WLAN and wait forever...... Or it claims the SIM-card as "not present"
In AOSP it was clearly solved after they added the appropriate binaries. After this all was running as expected. WLAN and LTE
Can you have a look on this?
I think the CM releases are only for devices without LTE and contain nothing (BLOBS) for activating LTE
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68138341&postcount=10
Tested (flashed)
No WLAN and no LTE
1. SIM card not detected
2. Activation WLAN runs forever
WLAN claims MAC Address: 02:00:00:00:00:00
Neverever can this be true!
I did test that on an SGP511. The 20161111 is not rly useable as I cound't access/see any item in the status bar. Also notifications wouldn't pop up.
20161031 works almost fine but the auto-brightness sometimes seems to be off. As some already wrote: AudioFX crashes always when any app tries to use it. And charging is quite slow either i do use an Anker Quick Charge capable so it loads faster on Stock Rom.
Edit: I also happend to come across 5 times where the tablet would reboot during intense play/testing (using 2 diff. speed clickers).
Generally: How can i disable Cm Recovery? There is no option to disable "update cyanogen recovery" in dev options, so i can't get twrp running (except i do flash the multirom img). Btw. will there be any update of the rom?
The development of this ROM is IMO dead.
Since a long time nor further builds and no solution for not running LTE
Ah well, the dev. seems to not regulary check in. And after Nougat+Lineage it wouldn't be of surprise the development gets stucked. So that's why i am waiting on an (un-)official answer.

Also, the first boot may be laggy as hell, so, wait until the "Android is upgrading" notification ends and then reboot. You'll get a more stable system after that.
FAQ
Q: It's for daily usage?
A: It's a experimental test build to have fun and mess with. Obviously the bugs will be fixed soon, but, if you are flashing this rom and using it for daily usage and then complaining about it, don't point at me, you're the responsible for flashing this.
Q: Camera will be fixed?
A: Well, the camera it's a thing because we use a old type of camera, that previously was unsupported (HAL1, remember that nougat doesn't got video recording? Well, it was because of our type of camera). So, we have to wait to lineage to fix it or workaround it in some way.
Q: I got x issue flashing x mod!!
A: First of all, naturally mods are unsupported, and more in this case, i mean, it's a new version of android, obviously some stuff will be unsupported and they have to update it, so, if your mod doesn't work, please don't report it here.
Q: I got x issue! halp
A: If the issue wasn't reported already on the OP, please report it with a log, you can take it with adb logcat on your pc, or replicating the issue and logging it with Matlog (requires root)
Q: Sir pls do it for otus/moto e4/idk
A: I don't have the device so, how can i test if everything is ok? Also, please don't spam "Waiting for x device" because... that will not do anything more than make spam
Q: Where can i get gapps for 8.0?!?!?!
A: Please go back into the first post and read it carefully.
Q: When i installed the gapps, and go into play store, my phone keeps into "Getting info"
A: Did you flashed rom and after a reboot did you flashed gapps? that's why it's getting there. Else, i don't know tbh, it should work normally if you clean flash the ROM along with gapps.
Q: If i want to flash some new update, how can i do it?
A: Without doing any wipes, flash the new release, the gapps and magisk (if you used it, if you didn't flashed it, skip this) and then reboot. You'll have everything working without crashes and stuff
I think that's it for now, here's some screenshots

Sorry but Jio4GVoice App Just helps Dervice w/o VoLTE to place a call over Network & also If you are able to receive and place call using Jio (with Audio/Voice of Bidirectionally) without Jio4GVoice App Than its considered to have VoLTE Support
Edit:-
Tested Calling Using VoLTE (Device Dialer) it worked sometimes (not every time)
While Receiving Calls (Incoming Calls) are most probably received (Out of Coverage Area or Device Switched OFF) but when its placed The Device Restarts to TWRP (Factory Data Restart - Device Restarting)
These are the issues I faced (Using Phone Dialer)
Note: As per Dev VoLTE is still unimplemented so don't bother about it much till its implemented or said so by the Dev
@ElDainosor Thanks for the ROM
@ElDainosor
Hi, downloading 09.07 & pico. Will flash soon.
Do you need some tests?
Xt1524.
Hmm...
Oreo is ugly like... curdled milk, out of date for consumption.
Flashed without any problems, restoring apps from google account, will flash magisk 14 soon.
New trebuchet? Where the globe is rolling?
Good job.
Bt works, poweramp, jetaudio - yes, black player - no.
Tomorrow will check gps - waze, g.maps, navime.
Magisk 14, adaway - yes. Waze - yes.
How can I disable charging led(only for charging)?

res
good job
A couple of things. ROM won't boot unless you wipe data. The clock isn't centered when center is chosen. Choosing "Advanced Restart" changes nothing on my phone.
Have it up and running and rooted. So far no problems whatsoever. Great job.
Edit: after rooting advanced start is working. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but before that I had to use volume keys to get into bootloader.
Eagerly excited to give this a shot. Been wanting a reason to switch things up on my phone, and this sure is one. Will report back once I flash.
EDIT: Flashed on T-Mobile OP8 once converted to global. I attempted to flash from T-Mobile official, but this bombed out and caused it to boot into crashdump. So far, everything is nearly flawless. I will say that display calibration profiles isn't working, but that is pretty minor. Using the standard color correction works fine. I am going to run it through its paces for the rest of the night and tomorrow. If things go well, looks like this will be daily driver material.
Verizon Op8 unlocked. On A10 as I'm waiting to get updated modem from Verizon. I only have build on one slot _a, not both as msm tool has latest ota from Verizon loaded. Is being on A11 base or having oos on both slots a pre-requisite? Please and thank you beforehand.

Might want to read the installer script, your missing a credit
I flashed and it seems pretty good. Some issues to note are, when connected, there's no sound with bluetooth devices, sometimes during heavy use the screen will become unresponsive, and when the pop up comes in apps to use the fingerprint scanner, it shows 2 different overlays. I was unable to get logs and I flashed back to stock, but hopefully this helps

I also came back to post the bluetooth audio bug. Can also confirm that it happens with wired headsets as well, either using the adapter or using USB-C headphones.
I also have no bluetooth audio and display calibration profiles not working.
Wohooo finally!!
Guys help me. I flashed the rom so far so good but there's no fod icon change etc on the crdroid settings menu I went on lock screen options and there's only fod vibration verification but no fod icon change does anybody else have this? Can anyone help me with this one?
Just curious if any headway was made on the Bluetooth audio bug. If logs are needed, let me know and I can capture them.

Yeah, that's pretty much a deal-breaker. Looking at this guy's account it seems he's got a few irons in the fire when it comes to crDroid. Given this thread has like five posters seems not much interest from OP8 users. I'd guess that would leave us sucking hind tit. And it's hard to find fault. I'm sure this is really time consuming work and people have lives.
a new build is up, please don't use the internal installer but download it from our website and follow the install script
thanks everyone for the feedback, it's appreciated
Updated. Fixed the bluethooth issue. Haven't checked the other stuff yet.
A question. Updating as you do breaks root. Could a person extract the boot.img from your package, patch it with magisk, rename it boot.img, put it into the installer package, then update and retain root? Or would this cause the update process to fail?

Adaptive brightness/color profile still not working. No matter what you select it reverts to "standard".

I'm on lineage os 17.1 so I can just factory reset and wipe data and install this Rom
Thx Joel. anything can br done about signing keys to prevent security error?
Absolutely beautiful, thanks for continuing to support the z5 premium. You're the only dev left.
One thing I would change is I would rather not have the ROM force the LineageOS recovery on us. I'd much rather have TWRP (Also thanks to you for developing, and if you have the time to update it to TWRP 3.4.0 that'd be great)

Just to be sure this is a bootloop? The phone isn't stuck on the white Sony splash screen? Can anyone else with an E6883 device confirm that if this is happening? I only own the E6853 variant.
Also @HouseOfBricks I will look into getting TWRP updated at some point. Also I believe in the setup it asks if you wish to use lineage's recovery or not.

I'm running on an E6833, and it works totally fine. Realistically those two variants are exactly the same, with the only difference between the E6883 and E6833 being the LTE bands.

I have an E6833 and was on 15.1. I have tried to load 17.1 a couple times with no success, but I was able to get 18.0 just fine. The stuck on a boot loop issue is what I had when trying to load 17.1, so maybe try to install 15.1 and see if you can get that to work.
New Release 20201227
Change-log:
- Updated to lineage 18.1 sources.
Another thing I noticed is that the snap camera isn't as bugged as it was in the previous 18.0 release. This release seems more towards the "stable" side of things for me although I didn't extensively test it (do let me know if you come across any issues). I'll wait for reports of any other issues before marking it as stable. Lineage also hasn't started rolling any official builds for 18.X either, so I would like to wait on that as well.

Great.
Keyboard disappears instantly in one of my bank account apps.
so i can't enter numbers.
And Hotspot doesn't seem to work.
Also some apps that are root granted can not do superuser operations.
like copying a file into Android/OBB with ES File Explorer.
error 1 :/
hi!
my headphone jack is broken so i have to use sound switcher apps lesser audioswitch but android 11 does not support these apps
is there any apps that android 11 support?
HI dear joel16
Thanks for your hard work
I want to say, please zoom in one ROM,
You are working currently on 4 ROM,
and bugs of all 4 ROMS are same each other,
Fm radio and camera
But in this version, 18,1, also advanced restart option don't work,
And other third party camera apps don't have original camera quality,
Once again, thank you for your hard work,
You are only dev in xda who support Xperia z5 premium
I have been testing this rom, phone(6833)
-wifi seems to work better than 17.1
-Spanish language is not 100% translate
-camera works but is not very good, camera17.1 is better(quality in the photos)
-sim1 wokrs(calls,sms,etc)
-sim2 is detected but does not works, when making a call (network not available)
-Apparently the phone does not go completely into sleep state
-its temperature rises quickly in moderate use
-sometimes the battery drains quickly
that's all so far
Hi, THX for your Grest work, rom Is good but Is not yet complete, Do you update It again in future?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Installation instructions :
Be sure to have installed latest TWRP recovery (you can find it in downloads) and latest Android Lollipop (5.0.2 for matisse, 5.1.1 for millet) firmware
Download the latest build and GApps (ARM, 10.0, I advice pico package) - if you'll go to wipe even internal storage, put them on a microSD or an USB OTG, or copy them after wiping it
Boot to recovery mode
Wipe > Advanced wipe > Select system, data, cache and dalvik/art cache (and, if you want to clean more, select even internal storage, which deletes all the content in /sdcard) and do swipe to wipe. When it finishes, go to home page
Install > select ROM zip file > swipe to flash and, when it finished, go to home page
Do the same thing to flash GApps
Reboot > System
Update instructions :
Be sure to have installed latest TWRP build
Download the latest build
Boot to recovery mode
Install > select ROM zip file > swipe to flash and, when it finished, go to home page
Reboot > System
Known issues :
Magnetic cover doesn't trigger magnetic sensor (it works, but it's too little sensible).
Some randomic minor issues with YouTube app (sometimes, after skipping ads in a video, you'll get just a grey screen - close and reopen video to fix the issue)
Some randomic issues with bluetooth MAC address (bluetooth app crashes always). To fix this, you need to get (take note!) the address by going to stock ROM and getting that from Settings > About tablet menu. Then, come back to LineageOS 17.1 and rewrite the file /efs/bluetooth/bt_addr by using root permissions and a root file explorer, or by using adb push/pull, better in TWRP.
5 GHz WiFi networks between channels 149 and 161 are invisible to the Tab
In matisse3g and millet3g SIM isn't working

Thank you for this ROM, very good and stable Great job, I ran the installation on my T335 as described. I encountered a bug during calls (both incoming and outgoing) the device run, I do not hear the voice, only in HANDSFREE mode. Same problem for all calls also whatsapp.
The internal speaker of the phone does not work and even if I connect with bluethhot of the headphones I do not hear the voice but only the system sounds.
Ok, Camera and zoom.

Thanks for the feedback. I removed the dot about camera issues for millet. About sound, I need a logcat and you should be good to explain me when you did what in the logcat. I advice you to enable seconds in the status bar, so you can precisely point to that second of events. All these issues should be fixable with some edits in the mixer paths, but before I touch something, I need a logcat with precise indications.
thanks for the build. Will be sure to take a look at it.
Good job, a perfect ROM, very stable... no issue at this time...
Successfully installed on SM-T532 with GApps pico. I first tried to install without GApps and it ended up with some apps randomly crashing. After my second install with pico, everything runs as expected for now. Thanks!
SM-T330: excellent. No problems to install, everything works, including camera, bluetooth, and wifi. Very responsive and fluid experience. Thank you so much for this ROM (and the lineage 16 as well)!
New build of LOS17.1 with 2021-05 security patches is online!
Changelog:
- May 2021 security patches
- Little fix to power profile
- Drop Adreno RenderScript blobs (https://github.com/TheMuppets/propr...mmit/b360ae6f58414911861ba2d736a56744b9622df5)
- Some more kernel patches included
- Reduced kernel size by removing some useless stuff - now Lineage recovery can be built without having size issues
I even uploaded 17.1 lineage recovery, since you can use fastbootd there too. It could be useful to flash .img recovery files if you choose to install it. It's just a little advice. Do what you want then.
matteo0026 I've been trying to download from androidfilehost the file lineage-17.1-20210513-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi.zip since yesterday but it's impossible, OOPS! no mirrors found.
Is there another download alternative?

No download alternatives, but I contacted Androidfilehost support to ask why of this problem, since I have been able to reproduce the issue in the download page. And this issue is present in all variants in LOS 17.1, not just matissewifi. At least, LOS 16 has at least 1 mirror per build. Probably the infrastructure is really slow to make copies to the various servers.
I tried downloading 17.1 for my SM-T530NU and had the same issue. I'll wait for the download on AFH.
Thanks and keep up the great work matteo.
I was right, it was a problem of androidfilehost. Now the builds are downloadable with all the mirrors.
thank you alot for the LOS 17.1. I updated my T335 with TWRP to latest and flashed LOS17.1 and pico gapps, only wiping cache, davlik. It works really well. Even camera takes fotos. Here no freese as in LOS16. LOS17 is a bit less snappy compared to LOS16, but camera is important for me. Thank you Mateo, very nice that you maintain the tab 4.
I installed 17.1 on my SM-T530NU. No issues so far. 17.1 feels more responsive on the tablet than 16.
Thanks for the great rom Matteo.
I installed 17.1 on my SM-T531. It works perfectly. With this new firmware, my tablet got a new life. Everything is fine, but the GPS doesn't work with this ROM. It worked with the factory firmware, but I don't want to roll back to it. Is there a way to fix GPS?
Thank you for the great ROM, Mateo

It works, but it takes a lot of time to do a 3d fix. Tested. And you have to test the gps outdoor. Probably it can be improved, but I don't know how.
Thanks for your attention to my problem, Matteo. I tested it for several hours outdoors today. Unfortunately, the GPS does not work at all. I watched it in the GPS test app, the tablet can't find any satellite. It worked properly earlier with the factory 5.02 ROM. I'm still looking for a way to fix it in your great firmware.

@jim-cz try this file (that you have to extract from the zip file). Put it in /system/etc.
