The issue has been noted on a Reddit thread. Myself and numerous other users have noticed turbo charging has gone bye bye when updating to pie. It's logged as unfixable. Is there anything we can do?
I have 3 USB-c chargers from Google. One that came with the phone, a car charger and another home charger for my travel bag. Only the charger that came with the phone charges rapidly. Previously they all worked fine. It's not unfixable, it's a bug. I haven't found anything to fix the problem. Guess we will have to wait for an update once they realize they messed it up.

You can downgrade to 8.1.0, or install LOS.

They know and they marked it as unfixable ! I don't think I'll be getting another pixel of Google continues with this **** Akon to planned obsolescence
So I am confused,,,and I dont mean any sarcasm here,,if the charger that came with the phone works and charges rapidly why doesnt people just use the charger that came with the phone? If you dont have one buy one off of Google?

All 3 of my chargers are directly from Google. One came with the phone and 2 I bought from the Play Store. I wanted to keep a charger in my travel bag and one for the car. They worked fine before the update. I don't see why they would disable 2 of their own chargers. The chargers I bought from the Google store are not the exact model as the one that came with the phone. You would think they would still work.
I've noticed as well. I just bought this pixel on eBay after many years without turbo charge some I'm still used to charging my phone slower, battery life to me has improved with the update. I guess I'll buy a charger from Google
That would be a reason for me to not upgrade my phone. Are there people where the original charger doesnt work?

I am using g it and it is not charging rapidly. Took 30 minutes just to get me 15 percent whereas on Oreo that would only take me ten minutes.
I guess my question is,,,why would Google say this problem is not fixable,,,usually meaning there is something the end user is doing, or has done, that is causing the problem. But then again, Google has been known to say it is not a problem until enough people say something.

Are you using a custom kernel or kernel editing software such as ex kernel manager? The reason I'm asking is because I installed ex kernel manager and fast charging went bye-bye.... when I uninstalled it the fast charging returned. I am rooted with twrp and magsik which neither seem to have an effect on the fast charging.

I think the issue was marked as "unfixable" by the AOSP team as it's not a problem with Android, it's a problem with Pixel.
Well so far I am good,,,I plugged my Pixel into my Moto stock fast charger line and it fast charges fine. So who knows what is going on.

People that had fast charging broken with first Pie update, could you please check if it works now with the September Pie update?
PS
I suggested to a friend to get the pixel and don't want her to experience this kind of issue. She's still on 8.1 August release until we know that fast-charging has been fixed.

Yeah, I bought my Pixel used and it did not come with a charger and fast charging working fine, so who knows. Now, I just side-loaded the Sept update so well see if it still works LOL.

I did not find an answer for this so i wanted to know if the battery bug also happen in cm11?
if not i will just change the rom to cm11 and not wait for a stable release.
There is no such bug, it's a problem caused by usage of charger with one-step charging only, which cause the electronics on the battery to go nuts.
Same goes for using a lousy/bad USB port on your computer, especially if it can't reach 500mAh output for some reason.
so if there is not any problem why motorola said they are checking it and there is a 30 pages thread here with people who complains about this problem?

Read again what I've written.
I had over 30 moto g passed in my hands in the post 3-4 months and not even 1 have had this issue.
Either I've been extremely lucky and np one ever complained or I dunno.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545553&page=30
like you can see it is a very strange problem but maybe it is a charger problem.
I just wanted to know if maybe the rom is the blame in this problem.
http://phandroid.com/2015/10/14/lg-v10-wireless-charging-back-cover/
Appears as though it'll be made available over seas first, but coming none the less.
Hopefully we will see those stickers pop up on ebay for $10 or so to enable the wireless charging? Whats the time frame for something like that?
Well I'd say no we don't have any wireless charging sticker options yet, because the pin locations are a bit different than previous LG devices. Though it's only a matter of time, from the videos and photos I've seen of the back of the device without the cover and the inside of the cover, There is definitely a set being utilized for the nfc antenna that comes attached to the battery cover and then another set that are not being touched by anything.
I reached out to LG this morning in regards to the back cover and they gave me the very generic response that they do not know of a wireless back cover and they don't know if or when one would be released...
Wow, can't believe the V10 doesn't have this by default! LG behind again in putting in the most valuable feature IMO. Wow, wow! Was ready to pull the trigger on the V10 too! But this is a must have for me.

I can't grasp this logic at all. Even with wireless charging, the phone still needs to be tethered to a certain spot...so who cares if it's wireless or wired?
Seems so nit-picky

I've been using Wireless Charging since 2012 first with the Droid DNA. Then in 2013 I got Verizon's LG G2, which also had wireless charging build in. Got tired of the G2, and finally got the G4 and lived without wireless charging for about a month or two. Was hell! Hated plugging it in every night. One night, I reached over to get the G4, and the dam wire dumped everything off my nightstand around 2am. It was a bloddy nightmare! Luckily, the Chinese came along to save the day and offered the first G4 wireless sticker, that didn't work, without a mod.
So now comes the V10, and no wireless charging? Haven't you seen the Samsung commercials mocking the Iphone for no wireless charging. This is 2015, not 1960 for crying out loud! lol
But I must say, at least the V10 has a fingerprint reader. That's getting closer to being as good as the Samsung Edge Plus. But LG again fails to have the best technology on their flagship device.
@MicroMod777 hope you get it cause we need some devs over here. You won't be disappointed it's a great phone.

Wireless chargers still has to be plugged in to an outlet so it's no different than having to plug your phone via the charging port. But you can just lift the phone off the wireless charger blah blah blah, big deal. It takes less than a sec to unplug your phone. You should probably clear your nightstand to avoid dumping all your crap, and was it set at the end of the table that you had to reach over and drag everything to the ground? Just wait for the case if you're so picky.

What's the complaint here anyway? Were talking about a feature that will be supported imminently. Whether with an OEM back cover to support it or 3rd party sticker, It'll be the same slow identical charge any other wireless device charges at. Worse case scenario, you have to plug in a usb for a few weeks. And if you jump on the LG promotion, you wont even have to do that. You can charge the secondary battery in the cradle and swap as needed. In my eyes, that's better than wireless charging... No wait other than the time it takes to swap the battery and reboot the phone.

Well see by January 2016 when I qualify for zero down with T-Mobile and do the On Demand Jump. Right now I can't justify spending $300+ for a down payment on it without wireless charging.
BTW, last night I tried to port the V10 software to the G4! Didn't go so well. lol Almost thought I bricked my G4. But thankfully I recovered it.

The question is, which would you rather take: wireless charging (will it be fast wireless charging) or the Qualcomm’s QFE2550 closed-loop antenna tuning solution, known as Qualcomm TruSignal antenna boost technology. Let's not forget, 1 hour 5 minutes to go from 0 to 100%, currently. I figured that's what's on the inside of my back cover, but I could be wrong. Every time I walk in best buy, I see the new antennas you slap on the back of iphones/galaxys.
Personally, I've used wireless and wired. I've got galaxy S6 active and love the wireless for work, only because my plug doesn't drop behind the desk when I disconnect.
But, wireless isn't necessary for me. It might be for the rest of you.
Off topic, I'm much more in love with the 808 with 4GB ram then anything. I've got 30 apps running and I don't see any lag. ...yet. no aggressive memory killing the apps, which I love. Yes the gpu isn't as powerful but I haven't found anything that slows it down (I'm looking at you, modern combat 5). The 4GB ram and 64GB base is just making this phone bad ass. I bought it for the camera and movie capabilities. Removable battery and microsd slot just make me love it more. Just waiting for my stabilizer to come in from Amazon for my tripod.

People in other forum saying if you plug in your phone, then you can swtich it off, but you can't do it the other way around.
Does your 3.5mm adapter work, or has it given you issues where it just stops completely. I've has this happen now like 5-6 times and the only thing i can see doing it is either the phone being unlocked or Magisk. I've sent HTC an email to look for some sort of solution, but I'm seriously considering returning this phone and just dumping HTC altogether and maybe waiting on the new Pixel or Note 8.
I have unlocked bootloader and rooted with magisk, running leedroid rom. I have no problems with the adapter.

Guess ill try that rom for a few days and if the issue pops up again, ill try one exchange with Amazon and if that doesn't work, i'll unfortunately be leaving HTC behind for good. Seriously don't know why they ditched the 3.5 jack, literally no positive outcome.

I've had no problem as well. A new ROM will not fix it if you are on stock (unless you don't take updates or something). Most likely a hardware issue. What does yours actually do? Does it disconnect and re-connect, does the icon stay on the screen, can you jiggle the adapter and it works again?

One of the fix that is included in actual 1.16.XXX.X DEV ROM is mentionned as this :
- FIX "There is no sound suddenly when listening music with HTC type-c to 3.5 adapter" issue
I already received 2 firmware update for the adapter but mine haven't got any issue so far

So far it's working on Leedroid, the problem was that it would work fine, and then if I randomly tried to use my headphones or plug it into my car the phone just acted as if nothing was plugged in, no icon at all and audio played through the speakers. Unfortunately I'm a Flight, so my phone's always up to date, so that's not the issue, might very well be hardware, but so far it's working.
I have had this phone for exactly 24 hours, and until then the fingerprint scanner installed in it worked relatively well.
After 24H the sensor decided to activate repeatedly automatically (without me touching the sensor) and finally, stop working.
It will not register any new fingerprints or react to the unlock feature or nothing at all. Rebooting won't fix anything, I have yet to try a hard reset.
My question is, even though the phone is really new, has any of this happened to you guys before?
If so, How have you fixed it?
Thank you and sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I hope it works, mine is still broken, and now the audio doesnt work at all, if im playing music for instance, it will not sound, and every now and then, play 0.1s of the song, it's really a good phone but its getting on my nerves
Also, update me about the case
Also wanting an update on the case, dimensions look to be near enough identical and there are more case option around for the non pro.
So, a new update
The fingerprint scanner decided to work suddenly today, I opened security and decided to see if I could add a fingerprint to unlock it and to my surprise it decided to work.
Regarding the speaker, I found out that if I suck on the speaker (yes, i put my mouth on the speaker hole and aspire air gently) the music, app, game, anything begins playing, and as soon as I stop breathing in it stops playing.
Why is this happening to me? It honestly is super strange, I already contacted gearbest and I hope they help me solve it or give me a new one

The case for the mars fits, pretty much perfect. Did you try a hard reset in the end, at all? Mine is working really well although ive heard the phone is compromised by malware/spyware (did manage to find the folder but you can't disable anything) that's why I am trying to root asap. Other thread is here to follow: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/tutorial-vernee-mars-pro-root-t3652213
Did post this one in another thread but this one seems better:

I have this device a week and it's great. Directly installed the OTA of September. Everything worked fine.
Up and until yesterday the fingerprint scanner was really sensitive maybe too sensitive. Then yesterday evening the phone was charged to 100% before I went to sleep so I plugged it out and powered it down to be fully loaded at 100% this morning.
After starting up it seems that the fingerprint print scanner is a lot less sensitive and sometimes it feels sensitivity is degrading during the day of use, to just no sensitivity at all.
Does someone else experienced the same? Does someone have a solution?

It doesn't seem to be a software problem, but a hardware problem. For me the fingerprint sensor works for some time, then one day it messes up and stops working for a week or so. I really dont know what's wrong, seems to fix by itself.

Thank, so it is a matter of ups and downs?
I did some gaming while on charge yesterday so maybe some heating can cause this?
I also have some Bluetooth issues while calling on my carkit. Music on my carkit is fine. Will an app like Bluetooth Auto connect be of any help?
Besides that I really like the phone overall.

Yes, it seems to be a matter of ups and downs, same with the speaker. Apparently when the humidity is high, my speaker refuses to work at high volumes ( it crackles and then it stops working)
My charger blew up recently actually (But that was because of some problem with my home's powerline). I got a Samsung charger, slightly slower charge, but my battery now lasts for much longer I have realises (I'm speaking 9V charging instead of 12V)
It is true the phone heats a lot, that's why I'd avoid using it while charging or at least if I plan to charge it all the way, since by the end it will be really hot.
Regarding bluetooth, I really havent had any problems whatsoever, therefore I can't really tell, for me bluetooth has always worked well with cars and speakers and so. I doubt an app like that be of any help, since it should pair automatically with the closest bluetooth source so perhaps that could cause a conflict, but I havent tried it so I can't know for sure.

I doubt an app like that be of any help, since it should pair automatically with the closest bluetooth source so perhaps that could cause a conflict, but I havent tried it so I can't know for sure.

This morning I took it of the charger. Now fingerprint is quite acceptable. Not that over sensitivity which I disliked, and a lot more responsive than yesterday.[emoji2]

Cheered too early, messed up again... It seems that a moist finger works better. It notice the touch better, but then it doesn't recognizes it....
Bleutooth calling went ok today. Seems though that I have the P20 or P25 lite version of the Mars Pro. Not the regular P2t
Should have chosen the Xiaomi Note 4 Global instead... I will monitor it a couple of days but I think I will look for a better 64gb/6gb USB type-c device in the near future....[emoji19]

Mine is working without any hardware problems since oktober 2018.
Most people have no problems, but some do have problems and they tend to react more then persons who are happy.
This is for all things, not just Nokia phones

Couldn't agree more,
A guy who bought the phone 6 month ago tell you that he has no problem with the port and people overreact, LOL. Yes, 6 month ago of a phone that is supposed to last 2 years.
You just have to wait my friend, i was feeling lucky when i was reading the people complaining, maybe is some batch, or something, i thought... Just wait and then come back to here.
To the OP, you can go to Nokia forum and check the number of view of the "usb c port failure" and take your own conclusions. There is people that have problems with screen and touch.
Apart from this 2 things the phone is quiet good!

That you don't have problem with the port doesn't mean that is not a common problem with a lot of user facing issues. In general i think is a matter of time, maybe a little bit of luck also. The usb c is designed to last 5000 plug and un-plug at least. If a lot of people have problems with that, it means the design or quality control is not good. It doesn't imply you are going to have a problem with that, maybe yours work perfect and last 5000 plug and un-plug. It is a matter of number of people having this problem. I have godix screen to and is working perfect.

I have the phone for a year also. No problems whatsoever.
Great phone. As someone already said, unhappy people are the one reacting more than the others. £200 is a great price for processor sd660, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and fhd and Android one.
Nokia forum is populated mostly by india/Asia users, so I can talk about that part of the world.
It is a nice phone though (only a bit too big).
Have had the Nokia 7+ since it came out in UK (TA-1055) Feb 2018 and no problems at all Brilliant phone for the money.

Hi,
bought the phone in july 2018. I love it, fast, snappy, consistent updates, long battery, nice camera and so on, overall nice experience.
BUT : Failing usb C for a month now and a strange looking yellowish stain on the top left of the display. The problem is I am living in another country at the moment and giving the phone back for a replacement/repair is a pain in the a**. Nevertheless, even though I have these problems I will still buy the same one if I had to take the decision now, just because of the small possibillity that this does not happen again. I am travelling at the very moment and imagine what a nightmare it is to keep a phone charged when the port is working only in one position with something heavy on top of it everytime so it enables fast charge otherwise it charges with 60 mA instead of 1500+mA... Consider the risk and I wish you good luck with your purchase, hopefully you make the right decision.
