Hi,
- I've rooted my one+ One phone and have TWRP installed.
- I'm running Cyanogenmod 12.1. (Android 5.1.1)
- I have Xposed installed and Ifont with it's per-app module activated in Xposed.
I'm trying to do two things: 1. Change the system font. 2. Once the system font is changed, change the clock font back to the factory font.
Using Ifont, I successfully change the system font. However, I am unsuccessful at changing the clock font back to default android font or any other fonts without soft-bricking the phone after reboot. In Ifont, I go to per-app function. I select the clock app and change the font family to the default android font. But once I reboot, the phone gets stuck at the Cyangenmod boot logo. Luckily, I have a back up which I restore afterwards. I have tried with the google clock app as well as the Chronus widget.
Could anyone help me achieve this step by step or is this not possible to do. I have tried different things I found on the internet but none work or don't apply to me.
Thank you very much.
The background stays black even if the the notif bars in the themes are white/blue/etc. If you guys could provide me with a solution that would make my day.
Details:
Huawei gr5 2017, emui 5.0, android 7.0

Have you been able to sort this out? I've been also trying to change the colour of the bar, both with themes from the Theme Store and by trying to modify a theme with EMUI Theme Editor but was unsuccessful.
You have to root your device. Then, with a root explorer, go to /system/emui/lite/prop , find local.prop and modify the "true" value in ro.build.hw_emui_lite.enable=true for "false". Then reboot and you can full theme notification bar.
Thank you, unfortunately that didn't work. Modified it, rebooted, changed theme to one with modified bar, rebooted again but still stock notification bar. Is it possible, that the emui theme editor just isn't (fully) compatible yet with nougat/emui 5.0?

I've just tried the emui theme editor app and it seems that background colour can't be changed. I guess it isn't fully supported yet. You can get a theme with the panel that you like and then modify it.

I'm using a different device, the P8 Lite 2017 on EMUI 5 and Android 7.0..i tried this trick, but it doesn't work. Im not even talking about the Theme Editor, just the normal themes for EMUI 5, and all they change are the App Icons, wallpaper, and lock screen wallpaper. A bit off topic but still, EMUI 5 theme issue..you guys got them to work correctly?
Sadly, I haven't found a solution to this minor glitch. Though I saw a potential solution. I'll update you guys if it works.
i was having a same problem with default theme app, try different themes or try this:
download this app from playstore
Themes Manager For HUAWEI EMUI, try a justice league theme and apply. If it works then you should be all set, its just the bug with theme which you have downloaded.
Hi,
After installing and applying one theme from play store my honor 6x, emui 4.0 the theme app, dialer, files app and settings app keep crashing and unable to open. I'm not being able to revert back to any of the default themes. Please let me know if there's any other way to revert back to any themes i have from pre installed.
I had deleted the theme from the theme folder by using es file explorer and restarted the device but still it's not changing and helping me out.
Since factory settings comes under settings app I'm not being able to utilize this method as well.
Thanx in advance.
Maybe do a hard reset
Hi!
I recently unrooted and went back to stock s7edge (unrooted) bc of the oreo update and came across this:
https://www.goandroid.co.in/install-galaxy-note-8s-live-drawing-on-other-samsung-devices/82131/
which let me install live messages, which is a very addictive keyboard function from the note8 and note9 models
It installed without a problem, (the app version itself has a few problems like having to clear data to reuse it on messaging apps, or doing it from a search bar then sharing the gif there) and not having the latest options like snowflake writing etc...
I assume it has to do with the app signature or something... i tried going to apkmirror to find the latest versions of both the keyboard and live messages, seeing as it was already installed maybe it would let me update. It didnt work, all i got was an app not installed notification (installed from internal memory and allowed unknown sources thingie just to be sure)
Is there a way to get an updated apk of the latest version to install?
Thank you so much in advance!
Attached patrick drawing to show its functionality hehe
few extra info:
Android ver 8.0
Samsung experience 9.0
Samsung keyboard version 3.0.23.63 (according to apkmirror latest version is 3.2.40.52)
live messages version 1.2.12 (according to apkmirror latest version is 2.1.12)
Phone is stock unrooted
Does the latest version of oxygen OS on oneplus 7 support substratum? If not what are the alternaatives available to theme it?
I have the exact same doubt. Installed Substratum and Substratum Lite and while them both compiles themes reporting no problem at all and inform the they applied themes successfully, no changes happens to the UI, lock screen, icons and so on.
So on Oxygen OS (in my case, Magisk rooted OOS 10.3.7) I couldn't get any theme to work using Substratum.
On OOS 10 Substratum themes work fine, I use "Darc" theme myself.
Make sure your selected theme supports OOS, then select it in the dropdown menu at the very top and build the overlays. Then reboot and after that apply the overlays from the manager.
On OOS 11 it might be a different story since Google has locked Android down even more, so many 3rd party apps won't theme at all and system might only get themed dark/black but not transparent, and not all parts of the system. We'll have to wait + see what magic themers can work with 11 ... personally I'm staying on OOS 10 until/unless 11 can get themed properly.
