RIOT against xiaomi's faulty ARB implementation! - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

I am starting this thread for all of you who are frustrated either because you bricked your whyreds in unawareness or confusion with all the anti 3 and 4 sh*t, or because you can't even install ota's and have to do some extra job to achieve keeping your bootloader partitions unapdated, therefore your anti level to 3. I regard xiaomi's stance to this issue as ignorant and even unacceptable, since they should firstly have informed as for the ARB changes, remove the ARB with the unlock of bootloader, give permission immediately to anyone who bricked their devices, and other... Therefore I believe it's our duty to do something for this! Together, massively! That's the only way to get rid of all that ARB burdain and headache. So let's find what we should do, what the best strategy will be! From a new, better way of ARB implementation to even total revocation of it. And from mass reports to a massive direct request to the company, from all of us! Let's join the RIOT!!!

Forget about it dude, Xiaomi has implemented ARB to Mi 6x as well now and will implement it on all Xiaomi devices soon. And also on the miui china forums they clearly say that do not try to downgrade as your device will get bricked, which makes me to think that bricking due to ARB was intentionally done by Xiaomi.
Here's the source: miui.com/thread-17234438-1-1.html

Are You Serious..?

Your Just Killing Time With This Thread Right..?
Do you honestly think someone at Xiaomi just woke up one morning.. got a wild hair up there you know what... and said DO THIS!
They are not an evil company.. This decision was discussed ( Pros and Cons ) and for the "Betterment Of The Company" the Anti-Rollback proceedure was implemented.
And there are already proceedures in place here at XDA to recover your device..
Nobody forced you to install Company Beta Software on your device.. There are PLENTY of SOLID ROM's & Kernels that were right here on XDA... and ready to go.
This is XDA.. and this is ANDROID.. *MOD-CENTRAL*
"Not The MIUI Beta Store"
Don't Be A Beta Tester.
These Incredible Developer's have given up Personnal Time, Family Time and who knows what other time's to Create for this incredible community.. and not charging a dime. Show appreciation by trying their masterpieces and dropping them at least a "Thanks" for their Time & Effort.. even if that ROM did not work out for you.
Get your device TWRP'ed with a No-Verity Script... Rooted... with Magisk 16+... with maybe a touch of Substatum & Xposed installed for good measure..
Otherwise.. What The Hell Are You Doing Here On XDA
The Horse Is OUT OF THE BARN.. *****ing About "Anti- Why" will not serve any purpose whatsoever at this stage.
Get Rooted & Rom'ed and Be Happy! :highfive:

That's good, I support it .... until xiaomi implemented it. Using google guideline, UBL users should not be affected by this. At most, they simply can't downgrade, but not until bricked.

isnt also the 2 year cycle for upgrade to android googles. yet RN5AI will get 1.??

I admit that you are all being more realistic and reasonable than me. Perhaps I am too ambitious and optimistic on this. If we take though into consideration how xiaomi's actions and stance to us excels we can assume or predict that things can get worse. Their sales are going even better, they are expanding this stupid ARB implementation to further devices, so why not proceed into even more unfavorable actions for us, the flashaholics. Maybe they even forbid us to unlock our bootloaders at all, at some point. And then xiaomi will stop being that super vfm and quality firm, regarding the smartphones, for us. And then what? Well go buy Samsungs? I am really frustrated.

can i root my ATT G955USQU1AQC9 ?

Hello, First post, my apologies in advance if this is the wrong place but i have spent some time researching this question but i want to be sure before i brick a $850 phone...i have rooted a few Samsung phones but i think a lot of it was luck and part of it was being able to read instructions (from here, i might add)...i have read enough to believe i can safely root a G955USQU1ACQ9 android 7.0 Kernel 4.4.16-10895874 build NRD90M.G955USQU1AQC9 Knox 2.8
the reason i hesitate to do it myself is the above mentioned cost of this phone and, i saw a "one click root" type thing and used the function that allowed to see if the program can unlock my phone and it says it is not available yet.. i imagine they simply have not updated the program to include my phone but the phone itself is able to be rooted using the methods i see here at XDA for the G955U in general.
so my question is, is this particular phone root-able following the instructions found elsewhere on this site? thank you in advance
No, you can't.

From my own personal experience root is blocked in the USA for 2 main reasons.
1.) Corporate contracts - most companies will not allow root access on company phone. In order to steal contracts away from Apple corporations asked to have the phones be locked down tighter. This why even Tmobile locks their bootloaders now. A big part of this is government contracts as well. The USA government is extremely strick on which phone hardware anyone who contracts for them can use.
2.) Samsung Pay - (or tap and pay in general) It will never be allowed to work on a rooted of bootloader unlocked device. And in the USA they are pushing it hard because it is more secure than a physical credit card. Credit card companies lose Billions each year to stolen/lost cards and fraudulent charges. If they force everyone over to a tap and pay solution on your phone they will limit much of that liability.
Honestly I don't think it's a bad thing. The key really is that Google (Android) and OEMs (Samsung) need to continue to roll out the features users want. There should be no need for root anymore. The phone should have all of the features built in, or non root solutions should be found.
To be honest the only thing I miss from root is Viper4Android and even that there are comparable features built in now. I do think Support for older devices should be required as well, but I think Android is addressing that in 8.0 by segmenting out the system from the OEM over lays and drivers, basically allowing Google to push system updates straight to devices.

Please everyone realize the facade of freedom and voting is just part of the system of control. Cracks me up that people from the USA call out corruption and fixed election from countries all around the world, but somehow fail to see the same corruption and fixed election in their own country. So naive.
Relax dude less than %20 of the population of the country voted in the election. What that should tell you is %80 of the people are smart enough to know the election are rigged and %20 of people are still believing in a pipe dream.
LOl we went from Can we root this phone to XDA = Trump lol . I love this game
How about save the political BS for some other crap site and not fill up XDA with garbage. No one cares who or why you voted the way you do.

Nuh i dont think so. And its not the first company who actually done it. And again its in their legal rights to do so., but as i said it very easy to exploit the bootloader without bootloader code and it will not make any difference customizing it. Back in my days we had to crack the CD to clone the game....and even today we crack the EXE to play pirate games. The same will happen with the devices. Samsung and Google already locked many devices and you was not able to get a bootloader code. That did not stop us though

Same thing here. P9 was really great had it for two years and I was very satisfied. But no way am I going with the P20. It has terrible value... So expensive? Bad design choices...
I think most companies take a bad turn after they get too big. Same thing with Samsung. They made an almost perfect phone with the Galaxy S3 (at the time) for a great price. Then they kept releasing the same design but increased price every year and now they sell glass slates that break if you look at them wrong, that cost 1000$.
I just got an amazing deal on an LG G6 which already has Oreo. That will hopefully last me until this whole notch/no headphone-jack craze washes over!

Its not about "getting to big". Look at it from company and market perspective. Some people here dont get it but modded devices take really small percentage of overall Android devices out there. We sit inside and read about that so we thing that everyone doing that but, most of android users dont even know what Android version they have, for them its just "Android Phone" + Brand name.
But for past year that number of custom roms and forcing updates that users do because they dont want to wait for official OTA grow and companies want to protect their names so there will be no situation like company is known that it have bad devices because people who mess with firmware cry about it all over the internet creating bad reputation.
Huawei was never perfect device for modding, and because Huawei is one of the biggest companies that aim for top they want to smooth their reputation by protecting their devices(no messing with bootloader = marketing advertising for "safe" device) and make users to use build in features and updates that they can control instead of messing with device to get it.
And yes, some people will cry that they will never get Huawei device again, or cry that its worst decision, but in reality those people are less than 0.5% of their worldwide user base. Some people will still mod those devices because they know-how, and stopping "easy way" to unlocking bootloader is not big deal, and Huawei devices are not alone here, there is lots of other devices and few companies that also block it and no one cry about it beside small number of people.
For me and probably for most of people it dont matter, Huawei devices are not bad compared to other companies, they work good, and for all normal people thats matter: that device work good. Today there is not much reason to mod devices, most of options that people need are build in, performance on even mid-range devices are good, no need to tinker under the hud like in old days to get device to work smooth. There are still many apps that need root and there are many roms that are really good, but most of people dont need that anymore, and only new users and people who are bored tinker with it... and for most of time screw their devices and then cry all over the internet that phone dont work...

He is right though because the market is not targeting on "under the hood modders" but they do target on average Joes who gets a phone , takes a good picture, using messenger, call, play some android games yadda yadda.
I can tell you that its less than 0.5% worldwide and if that 0.5% needs 3-4 times to return the devices because they hardbrick their devices from custom firmwares, they will have to replace the device which is a cost and also they will gain bad reputation for having "sensitive" devices. I dont think you bought P9 for the under the hood customization. Did you? because most of us got it for the superior cameras tbh.
I do dislike the fact that bootloader is locked , however there is always a way to bypass bootloader and push TWRP. Ive done it already on P8 and P9 and i can not see where it would be a problem with newer devices.
If someone wants to push a custom firmware and have the knowledge to do it, then definitely he will have enough experience on searching for tools that can do this job. Legally, illegally it doesnt matter.

are you one of those guyz?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...remony-prove-precious-phones-daily-lives.html
Bootloader=kernel?
you mixed up what is what.
Lesson one:
Android Bootloader
Every Android phone has a bootloader that instructs the operating system kernel to boot normally. But you need to understand one thing here that as Android OS is an open source OS and is available on a variety of different hardware, every manufacturer has their own version of bootloader specific for the hardware present in it’s environment. At its most basic level, your Android smartphone is like a hard drive, made of up several partitions. One of those partitions holds the Android system files, another holds all the app data you accumulate (which is how you’re usually able to update without losing all your stuff), and others to do more behind-the scenes stuff.
Lesson two
Why are Bootloaders Locked?
A bootloader is usually locked on an Android device because although it’s an open source OS, still the manufacturers want you to stick to their Android OS version specifically designed for the device. In order to apply this concept, manufacturers lock the bootloader. With a locked bootloader on Android devices, it is virtually impossible to flash a Custom ROM and forced attempts void warranty as well as usually end up in bricks. Therefore, the first step is to always unlock the bootloader.
Lesson 3:
Why keep a bootloader out of reach? One of the biggest reasons is that the carriers and manufacturers dont want to have to support hacked phones. The other is that a lot of time and money is spent developing these things.
Lesson 4
No company is obligated to release or to help you unlock your bootloader. You are allowed to hack it. But you have to respect the brick and return policies.
You can complain as much you want. If you want to play with fimrwares you can go buy an old samsung device.
The market is targeting the user and not the developer.

Bootloader=kernel?
you mixed up what is what.

I'm not even comparing, im just giving you examples where companies are being just ignorant to devs. Why they should care about brick after unlocking bootloader? You make zero sense. Unlocked bootloader void warranty so back to the topic. If you still think removing to have an option is "good" then congratulations have fun.
update: I appreciate your time that you spent on research.

DC-Unlocker is the place to go: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/supported_models_1/huawei_phones
I think it costs 4 Euros. I've used this site and it's legit.

[DISCUSSION] Is it even plausible to gain Treble support through a future update?

With rumours of Treble support coming along with 8.1 that have been debunked by the actual updates, I couldn't help but wonder how plausible it even is that we'll be getting Treble-support on our devices? I know that the Pixel got it and some other devices that came with Nougat got it as well but I can appreciate the complexity of the situation. That being said, I wanted to start a discussion, trying to gain some knowledge by people who have a deeper understanding of how Treble works and how plausible this actually happening for us.
Also, if we were to stay on the a/b partition system without Treble support, how plausible would it be that Xiaomi keeps its promise to deliver Android P for the Mi A1? I get the feeling that it'll be more or less obligated to be able to upgrade.
This is not an attempt to complain about update frequency, I'm very content with the monthly updates and if updates stop I'm pretty sure custom ROMs will provide us with extended support. I'm just trying to get some more insight and I know that there are a lot of people on this forum who have a lot of knowledge to share about stuff like this.
The thing is that xiaomi will never care about this phone and i bet that mi a2 will have the same end. No Support. I think that xiaomi was not really ready to make an android one phone.

I don't really agree with that. We've gotten updates every month, we were one of the first to get Oreo, one of the first to get 8.1. If you look at the Android adoptions rates and the Android One project guidelines, objectively speaking, we really have nothing to complain about.
That aside, i wasn't looking for subjective comments on why Xiaomi "isn't doing a good job" but more for comments that can give me more knowledge on the questions I was asking.
How can people say xiaomi doesn't care about this phone? We've been getting updates consistently every 3rd week of every month and among the 3% of all phones in the world to actually have Oreo 8.1. Think about that for a moment....
Look at all the other OEMs, LG barely just updated it's almost 2 year old LG V20 to Oreo 8.0, not even 8 1 and it'll get stuck on oreo 8.0. They haven't given the V10 a single uodate for almost more than a year and y'all still complain about the Mi A1?
Also keep in mind that all OEMs will have bugs in initial releases of updates that eventually, are fixed in a timely manner.
Y'all seriously need to chill. If you want daily updates, go develop your own rom and stop complaining.

people like to create drama, always.
I don't think they will add treble support for this device. But who knows!
Well I thought it was impossible because messing with the partition table could lead to bricked devices, but seeing the treble port and even Android P is kinda giving me hope we'll get it in some update (Android P perhaps, after it's release this or next month).
here's my opinion, Xiaomi is unlikely to give A1 a treble support, but constant update will be given to the phone, and as far as I can tell Xiaomi is trying their best to give the user a bug-free experience, I mean it's their first time giving a REAL stock android experience, heck A1 made them more popular... I think?

I have no doubts about the constant updates. They have been very consistent and monthly so they are doing a very good job at that.
I don't know if someone can give me a more technical explaination of how OTA Treble support would work and what the risks are, that would be nice. Also does anyone know what the requirements are when it comes to Android P? Will Treble be required to be able to upgrade?
I find a lot of info pointing out the dangers of moving from a/b to Treble but I can't seem to find any good ELI5 info that explains why

I couldn't agree more, I open this thread trying to educate myself on Treble and Android P upgrading process and the very first comment is about how Xioami isn't doing a good job with the Mi A1
Mi A1 is an Android One device which should get an priority to having updates to the latest version asap as Google stated, so comparing Mi A1 with other device that out of the Android One Program is nonsense.
From the very first release of the device Mi A1 get poorly support from Xiaomi, which includes very late deploying source code that almost make the device developing community dies.
Actually the monthly update is just 'OK', everyone knows that we received new bugs on every update even with they have beta program to testing before deploy the stable release.

Thanks for your contribution, now all my questions are answered. Thanks!
Aside from the cynical remark to yet another pointless comment that's completely besides the questions I was asking I want to add that you people shouldn't hijack every thread that has the keyword "update" in it to start whining. I actually want to gather some knowledge and so far half of the comments are completely pointless. Here are some facts for you guys, please mess up someone else's thread, thanks.
Android adoption rates
Android One update guidelines
Let me try to be helpful here:
What do you mean by plausible? Plausible is a word for liberal arts, philosophy, literature and other abstract studies or fields. In development, engineering fields no such word is being used. So let us first replace that word, with another one that makes sense.
Is it possible? Yes, everything is.
Is it doable? Yes, it is.
Will Xiaomi ever do it? I can't say for sure since I'm not in anyway affiliated with the development team of Mi A1 updates, but my bet would be on "No".
Now let me explain my reasoning behind this.
To recreate the partition table required for project treble to work (separate system and vendor partitions basically) you need to format your phone. They can't just send an OTA that wipes people's phones. Xiaomi releases an update where the notification led does not blink and people lose their minds. Just imagine what would happen if they put a disclaimer on the OTA, that tells people to backup because the OTA update will wipe their phones for treble support re-partitioning. The majority of people wouldn't even read it and then flood the forums to cry about it (you are experiencing it in this very thread). People expect Google Pixel-like experience (even pixel has hardware and software issues every month) from a 150$ smartphone. You can't afford to do things like that as a company, when you know that your audience is going to publicly execute you, even when they are at fault. It is just not worth it.
There is a make-shift way to enable treble support without re-partitioning and without wiping the phone, but no separate vendor partition is created (Asus has done is on zenfone 3 and google has done it for pixel and pixel xl). However, this procedure is again somewhat risky and could cause soft to semi-hard bricks and alleviates almost all the benefits of project treble due to not having that separate partition. So again, not worth it.
If I was Xiaomi, knowing my customers, I wouldn't have done it either as a marketing strategy. Give people stable updates, less stuff to worry and complain about and also avoid any risky situations that could put the company's name on the front-pages of bad news.
I hope I helped

Thanks, this was actually helpful. I completely agree that procedures like that would flood all Mi A1 forums with people who didn't inform themselves and it would backfire so that makes perfect sense. I didn't knew that the procedure Google did for the Pixel phones did not unlock full Treble capabilities, kind of strange that they decided to take the risk at all for that.

Well since they are at the forefront of Android development they are required to have the latest and greatest thing as they promised for the Pixel lineup. They were somewhat forced to do it because they promised for it. Imagine Google not keeping true to their written statements to customers.

Get a new phone then lol
Let me give you a piece of advice, OP
If you want an actual, on-topic and useful discussion, NEVER do that on either XDA or MIUI (Much worse btw)
The only people who can discuss these topics mindfully are the developers and a few handful of people that don't get triggered the moment they see the word "update"
Good luck to you

I actually deleted my account at the MIUI forum because of the poisonous attitude people have over there. The little useful information people post on there is buried immediately by brainless toddlers who clearly don't know how a forum works.
Maybe I was naive thinking this section of XDA would be better but at least a couple of people in these 17 comments were actually helpful so yeah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Look man, if you have nothing relevant to say about what I'm asking here just don't comment. I didn't create this thread to give complainers like you another platform to post your unfounded and subjective views on support for our device. If you want to see what the Android One update guidelines or the Android adoption rates are, scroll up, I've posted the links. Educate yourself. But please, stop with the complaining, my thread is not the place for it. If you want to contribute be my guest, if you don't, leave.
cmon man, I was answered the one I quoted to.
Did you tried to fight with everyone who doesn't the same as yours?
For what I thought about the topic, ofc it should be 'No' and also you shoudn't pretend yourself and believe on what you think.
If Xiaomi want to do, they will do, but also think that they just released Mi A2 Lite which should be replaced Mi A1 eventually
It's a marketing, business things.
Last thing is, if you really want to make some topic support, just make some online petition and spread them, and I would sign them one if someone make it.
Like somebody said, making the discussion in here is useless, Xiaomi customer support or something else wouldn't response them.

[SOLVED] Note 10 - SM-N9700 Snapdragon Is it possible to Re-Lock the Bootloader?

Hi mates,
I've unlocked the bootloader to root with magisk, but since this phone as lots of problems I would like to sell it, but how I can sell it with that stupid warning message about the bootloader unlocked.
I flashed the stock firmware but I saw that is it impossible to Re-Lock the bootloader or better I didn't find a way. (unlocking is so easy damn)
Is there anyone with a possible solution?
Just to be clear my Knox has been tripped 0x1 and I guess this will complicate the overall things.
thinking:
Just wondering why doing things so complex, it is just the root permission . i'm administrator of my laptop and nobody is worry about it even if I'm using bank application on it...So don't say it is for security reasons this is to frustrate people avoiding them to do their own business with a device they paid...
No words!!
thanks
Once your Knox has been tripped, you can't revert it.
The 0x1 you are reading is a hardware fuse that is physically blown. you can' "unblow" that fuse.
You are stuck with the warning screen forever.
That has been stated in all tutorials for unlocking bootloader with knox though.
thank for you reply.
I know about Knox state and e-fuse but I want to re-lock the bootloader not set know to 0x0 that is not possible..
Maybe there will be the warning forever but it is in Chinese and nobody understand it (ahahah) but locking back the bootloader should give me back Netflix on play store (if you sell the phone everybody wants Netflix imho) all the rests I don't care.
Hi, I got it and solve my problem, thanks to this guide
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79698366&postcount=44 .
Thanks to @robbo1947 for posting the solution for the S10 that is working also for the Note 10
Just for everyone information the boot warning disappear when you re-lock the bootload.
have good day
at least you should tell the seller about that situation, or I wish the seller will quickly figure out what you are doing and return the phone to you. To be honest, if I am the seller and I know you are hiding something, I will be pissed off. Never think you can escape from your cheating so easily. cheers.
It is not my intention to fraud anybody. I will sell the phone clearly specify the situation to the future buyer.
My intention was just putting the phone usable for a normal person that doesn't care about Knox 0x1 and the not working Samsung apps (pass, pay, secure folder).
I'm honest and I would avoid problems when I sell something, so don't be worry I will explain everything as I have always done!
However thanks for sharing your opinion that I 100% agree.

Having a moan at Huawei

Just spotted this article on xda and it just made me feel numb about this phone.
https://www.xda-developers.com/andr...-g-2015-sony-xperia-z3-compact-htc-10-one-m8/
The HTC M8 and HTC 10 just got Android 10!!
I've bought bogey phones before that I didn't like, the z1, note 4, Evo 3D, and I made do with what was available which want a lot, but the p20 pro takes top prize for the saga that is the bootloader codes and the anti Dev scene that is there p20 pro section of xda.
I got my bootloader unlock code day one, then I didn't write it down (my mistake) then I flashed a service firmware and it relocked, Huawei won't give me my original code. They didn't understand that they had already given me it?? Just needed to resend the same one lol. So crap.
Being used to HTC, OnePlus and Nexus devices, even Sammy, they all had thriving communities, and even though the pro is a beast with all the right hardware and components to develop for, Huawei just makes everything hard, borderline impossible in certain circumstances.
They've now made their own file system and compiler.
Compilers called ark I think, not sure what this will mean for after market development but it probably won't be good.
After hearing of a sort of partnership between xda and Huawei, I kind of committed with that in mind and the reviews I'd read about the camera (all I wanted was OIS really)
Camera is brilliant, just didn't expect the crap that happened afterwards.
Sorry for the moan, I am getting old
Would you buy another Huawei knowing how impossible it'll be to root and install your favourite custom ROM?
Personally I wouldn't, the ads are unblockable pretty much, removing device bloat is a ballache and updates are so splintered between the plethora of models Huawei decided to make some people are still on Oreo?
Such a shame, the device has a tonne of potential, ruined by a company that doesn't understand the essence of Android.
Ah well, OnePlus from here on in.
Blame Trump for putting pressure with the Android crap. Google is slowly removing safetynet on many huawei phones so pretty much we can't do anything.
P20 pro is a great device but bad managed by the software itself. I never had ads on my phone and, i agree, it's sad to see that Huawei had to lock almost everything just to prove that they are not a insecure company.
**** Trump, period.

You have ads on websites though, no avoiding that besides the likes of adclear which uses a VPN and murders the battery.
Trump just wanted to tap them for some money.

I mean, the ads can be removed by using Brave browser, since it is the same as Chrome but has adblocking.
The bootloader code fiasco happened because of 2 reasons :
1.Huawei was getting smack because of the xda noobs bricking their phones and then complaining how their phones are crap
2.Trump because he kept putting pressure on Huawei after the mate 10 fiasco.

I think the bootloader is much deeper rooted than that..
The volume of broken phones is just not high enough.. I think they hit a target of expected sales and then decided it was enough to take the hit..
Neither of us could be 100% it's speculation.
Either way, it's a sh*tshow and they can whistle if they think they'll get a penny from me again.
HTC have been doing the same thing for years with one blip when they had the one X.

P20 pro offers plenty of customization options too, but people don't bother using them anyway

Not enough
Enter the private DNS section in the phone settings and add "dns.adguard.com" and you're ad-free. No app needed with Android 9.
Slow updates is and will always be an issue, but as long as we get our security patches, we should be fine. I was a heavy modification user back then too, but switching to Huawei I did not even tried to unlock my bootloader. Sure you miss some freedom and control over your device, for which you paid hundreds of euros, but for the future it's the user's choice, which phone to select when buying a new phone. Google Pixel oder OnePlus is much more user friendly I guess and should be considered over Huawei, if you want to modificate your device. With the latest disagreements with Trumps China politics, maybe Huawei will create an open source alternative with more control for the user.
Id just love regular updates. I know EE are to blame too but it took from January to June for the .168 update.
We've now had nothing for 2 months.
My first and last Huawei.

Why bother creating a topic when you clearly only want to hear one point of view?

Similar thinking would have been more the aim.
Plus I'm old, I can moan as much as I like. This thread for the p20 is so dead all you guys can do is bash me.
If you've got nothing to add then don't add it.

You have ads on websites though, no avoiding that besides the likes of adclear which uses a VPN and murders the battery.
Trump just wanted to tap them for some money.
The bootloader codes were before him banning them.

I agree with most of what you said, even those dooshes approx 1k miles to the east of China have in place an option to bootloader unlock( none of the code bull****) unless one buys an American version of their devices (Samsoog ).
WhyWowee emui is pretty ****e., Now with their global locked bootloader policy one is limited to their weak app gallery or theme store for customisation since development is now dead on here. Even the Huawei forums on here are a ghost town.
In regards to ads, I don't get ads using Samsung browser and adblock. Maybe you should try that.

Blame the annoying orange for going full crybaby and blame Huawei for the security risks that weren't proven yet. They locked their bootloader for security purposes and yet they are still blocked. Thanks US!
