The way I managed to go from C636 to C432 was through Huawei Multi-Tool, in that change vendor option. After that, I used dload to flash C432.
This site lists all the firmwares for your model, maybe it helps: http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=frd-L14C567&firmware_page=0

But FRD-L14C567 Is a big defference between FRD-L09C432. I dont think that would help me rebrand back to FRD-L14C567.

I just checked Multi-Tool and it seems they're not covering vendor/country change for L14. Too bad.
That's as far has my experience go, so good luck in your research!

Aw man, hopefully they will add it soon so i can come back to L14
And where is the tab in multitool to change vendor/country? I was not able to find that tab in multitool just incase
And when i went to multitool 7, the language was different and the vendor change was filled with question marks.

Hello, thanks for the reply.
I did a search in google, and tried that first link you posted. The iRoot method wanted to put some weird stuff inside my phone, and even the root wasn't succesfull. And when I look it up in this website, how to root the Mate 9 version, I can see it's quite a process, so I guess those blogs are just scaming us.

It's weird you haven't received any update. B130 is from January. There is a new B141 from August, so that might be coming your way soon. The B3xx seem to be EMUI 5. I can build a twrp for you, but you'll have to test it. You could probably try the one released for Mate 9, it might work. If not you just flash back stock B130 recovery.
I'll be able to build it tonight, at the movies now with kids

You'd have to use the Flash and rebrand guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108. that one has modified stock recoveries. However, none for Lite. I could check and compare Lites recovery to mate 9, if it's not too different it should be easy to make the changes needed. Else you could ask @mankindtw nicely to make it

I'll just check and see what mankindtw did in the other recoveries. It's just a few bytes in 2 files to change. So I'll basically compare your recovery to mine and/or the others in that flash thread and see if there's much difference. If it is you'll have to ask mankindtw as he might know what to look for.
Edit: I will check when I get home

It's too different. If it was just changing the bytes I could do it, but file size is almost half of my recovery image. Lol.
However, you should be able to use TWRP for P9 Lite. It seems to be basically the same device, both are named hi6250 (compared fstab, they're identical and named fstab.hi6250 ).

It's not for sure. I'm just saying the P9 Lite and Mate 9 Lite seem to be identical. So you'll have to test. lol
In case it doesn't work you can just flash back stock recovery.
It's the same if I were to build it, it's not certain it would work as I can't test it myself.
But you should probably wait for mankindtw to patch the recovery image.
And if you install that TWRP, it will probably be in chinese by default.
you can look at section 2.1 here https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
to change it to english. If you'll just use it to update to EMUI 5.0 it doesn't really matter.
And when/if you update to EMUI 5.0, you'll want to flash this TWRP instead: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/twrp-t3588356
If you want TWRP that is.

@mankindtw
I have been having issues with my phone, so I'm not sure if you received my previous messages or not (cannot find them in sent PMs), but my name is Vince, and need some MAJOR help...
I was referred to you by someone by the XDA name of ante0, and he mentioned to me in passing that you are the master at creating modified stock recoveries. I was hoping that you'd be able to help me out?
I just recently bought a Huawei Mate 9 Lite (BLL-L23)
that has old software on it. The current build is BLL-L23C605B130, the custom version is CUSTC605D001, and EMUI is 4.1; however, I know that there are builds that are much more recent. My phone, for the life of me, just simply cannot upgrade to the recent firmware via official means.
I recently heard of Firmware Finder and found the latest firmware for my device - but, it tells me under Check Firmware Status, "Firmware not approved for installation." I also heard that there is a way to install that firmware by bypassing authorization.
I would really appreciate it if you would be so kind to create for me a modified stock recovery for my device.
I don't know any other developers who can do so, and I'm definitely not a developer myself, haha. I can't explain why my device won't update, because I know that the most recent build is B364? If I flash the software by bypassing authorization, will everything still work perfectly?
Thank you very much, Mankindtw, for your consideration... I would be extremely grateful for your help, my friend.

Hello! I gave up...
I followed some steps, reading topics from this site.
I could unlock my bootloader (now everytime I power my phone I got a message reminding me that xD)
But I couldn't install the twrp, tested some adb softwares, but nothing... always got some kind of error. And I never get a clear explanation about those chinese .exe softwares to install twrp and those stuff.
Has anyone successfully debranded China variant on Nougat to other regions or able to install custom roms?
I have been trying on all the methods, dload, FF but no luck and similarly unable to flash any custom roms anf getting error 7 in twrp recovery (this is equivalent to E1001 from the uodate-script file).
The various post/Guides available may be working on MM but none on Nougat (not sure even if MM worked but few thread mentioned)
Thanks to everyone in advance for any help

Maybe the boot.img doesn't change through the firmwares but i'm not sure about this...
I would suggest you to do a rollback to get to the stock firmware
But wait, maybe a more competent person will have a better solution for you.

Sadly, I expected it a bit...
What you need to do is to find the latest firmware for your phone (supposingly your phone was up to date) and then extract the boot.img with HuaweiUpdateExtractor.
Otherwise you need to do a rollback and get back to stock firmware...
Also you can wait for someone with better acknowledge than me to help you.
Good luck!

Hi folks - I'm a first time poster here, so go easy on me
I bought a second hand Honor 6X (BLN-L21) last week. It had Android 6 on it so naturally I checked to see if Android 7 was available for it. It was, but not by checking in-phone for OTA updates. I used the steps on this site STechGuide, perhaps in a bit of a rush...
So the upgrade process said it had failed after about 20 minutes. But after it rebooted it was indeed on Android 7.0 and EMUI 5, but now shows the Build Number as "NRD90M test-keys" and I cannot get it to check for updates. Also now each time I restart the phone I get a message saying "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly".
If I go into the 'eRecovery' settings, it connects to my home wifi and it fails to get package info and all I can do is reboot it.
So in short - how can I blast it back to its original firmware and thereby get official Huawei/Honor OTA updates? Also shouldn't the 6X have received Nougat in the UK by now?
Thanks and apologies for the newbie question that has no doubt been asked many times.
DM
You can ignore warning message. It wont cause any issue. This is because you may have unlocked bootloader while doing this.
What is the build number of firmware you flashed?
BLN-L21CXYZBXYC
please provide these details and I can help with the stock files.
we need OEMINFO file as well to get rid of this NRD test key stuff.
Namaste Shashank and thanks for the reply.
Although I can simply hit the power button to proceed, I would prefer it to automagically proceed to boot!! It was already SIM-unlocked when I bought it by the way. I bought this model second hand, so have the original box it came in and that only says it's a BLN-L21 with a S/N, EAN and IMEI1 (it's a dual sim model though a European model). It has 32Gb storage and 3Gb RAM. The sticker on the bottom of the box (with the S/N) says "This device may be operated in all member states of the EU" if that helps...
I was stupid enough not to take pictures or screenshots of all the system details before flashing it to Nougat, so I cannot give you the specific BLN-L21xxxxxxx information - I thought it might be found via the *#*#2846579#*#* USSD code, but while there is plenty of information there, it doesn't give a specific BLN-L21xxxxxxx code :/
I've tried attaching the phone to the HiSuite application, but it says everything's up to date. HALP!
How exactly can I determine the OEMINFO? I have a bunch of pictures I took with my other phone to illustrate the problem if you need them...

Sorry for the late answer brother, i just saw this post. So, i bought mine from Amazon and it is classified HW/EU standing by what my vendor.img says, my build it's C432. But don't worry, there's an easy way to know your build number in any moment; just write your IMEI here http://www.imei.info/ and details should follow
Ok great - will try that shortly!
Thanks a lot guys

Hmm that site is down currently :/ I tried www.imei.org and it just said it was an Honor 6X, so not much use... I'll keep checking back on that site during the day today.
Grazie ciononostante RedSkull23

Oh i see... Well, there's even an adb method to know build and other props. To obtain Android version you can write on adb "adb shell getprop ro.build.version.release", while other the rest should be visible after that you write "adb shell getprop".
Let me know if you can figure it out!
Ok the site is back up. Here are screen shots of the results - I only used the primary IMEI however.

Check the utility HiSuite by Huawei, Smart Device Manager - http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/index.html
I am not sure that the current version also supports system software downgrading. Good luck to you.
