Hey is it true OPO doesn't support sound in 60 FPS or 120 FPS video mode?
i dont think any phone or camera does sound in slow motion.
60 FPS is no slow motion. Other flagships support sound in 60 FPS - SGS 5, Sony Xperia Z2, LG G3, ect.
OPO seems NOT which is huge minus, making camera useless.
60fps is slow motion. its 24 or 30 fps which is normal speed.
Since when recording [email protected] and playing it is slow motion? Have you seen videos @60FPS and understand purpose of recording in this speed over 30?
Jack is right
Guys, it seems you don't know the purpose of 60 FPS over 30 FPS. OK, no problem.
So I explain it to you - 60 FPS give you smooth movies - yes. 30 frames is too low (often) and 60 give you full smoothness.
OPO doesn't record sound in this mod which is ridicolus, so is useless.

dude. shut up. 60 fps is half speed slow motion. move on.
I adise you reading some articles about FPS and impact of movie smoothness, then talking.
Once again for YOU: OTHER flagships DOES SUPPORT sound in @60 FPS mode. So if THEY CAN, why OPO CAN'T it seems.
This is not about slow motion but typical recording.
Flagship killer? BUAHAHAHAH. End of story.
you dont even have the phone. and it sounds like you dont want it either. you dont have anything to add here. just go away.
Listen. You guys aren't understanding each other, you're both kind of right.
If you record at 30fps and play back at 30fps, that is normal, and standard.
If you record at 60fps and play back and 30fps that is HALF SPEED, a type of slow motion.
But if you record at 60fps and play back at 60fps, that is a newer type of smooth playing STANDARD SPEED playback. Less jitters, choppy etc.
Same goes for 120fps etc. It doesn't matter how many fps you record in, it matters how you fast you play it back.
So 60fps recording, played back at 60fps, should have audio.
Let's all just relax here

It's been a while and there has been at least one update... Does anyone know if they do 1080*1920 @60FPS now on the OnePlus One?
I just ordered one a couple of days ago, and am hoping for the best when it comes to camera video updates... I plan on recording in 4K mostly, and downscaling to 1080P to see if that improves the sharpness. 60FPS in full HD might be a tempting alternative though.(Often down-scaling is better than taking an original shot at your target resolution.)

The 60FPS and 120FPS mode in all resolutions are only slow motion still.
I'm also searching for a possibility to record in 60fps.
I really really miss that. Vids look really choppy in 30fps, srsly.
60fps is NOT slow motion. 120fps is NOT slow motion. 10000000 fps is not slow motion.
Recording @ 60fps and playing back at 30fps produces a slowmotion movie, sound cannot be played back this way.
60fps played back @ 60fps produces a (more) fluid experience, without much blend and the brain filling in the missed frames.
30fps played @ 60fps produces a fastmotion movie.

Well I have a Oneplus One and I want 1080/720 @ 60FPS. The lack of this feature is my only disappointment with this phone, everything else is totally fantastic.
For people who don't understand why I want 60fps video then here is my explanation:
Recording at 30fps is okay but as soon as you have anything moving quickly, such as a close car passing from left to right or if you pan the camera, the moving objects become a blur, at 60fps fast motion remains clear. For those who have only ever had 30fps experience you won't understand how important this is, but for those who have had a 60fps experience, you cannot go back to seriously filming anything in 30fps.
It should be possible on the Oneplus one, but I get the feeling the phones firmware currently will not allow this option. I have tried various apps and even written my own specifying 720 and 1080 @ 60fps, but I only ever get sound when 30fps or 60fps no sound.
It's a shame as the hardware is quite capable!
I'm not sure how to to about this. One thing I really care about on a phone I purchase is video recording quality, more specifically 1080p/60fps and slow motion. Unfortunately, the Galaxy s7 has an issue with both of these.
You know how the Galaxy s7 focuses pretty much instantly when recording video in 1080p, 1440p, or 4k? Well, it doesn't happen in the 60fps mode. The focus is even slower than my s6 in 60fps and there is tons of "focus hunting" where it bounces back and forth between focus as you're recording. Focus is literally perfect in any mode besides 60fps.
Then we have an issue with 240fps slow motion where there are a ton of frame skips throughout the video (just YouTube s7 slow motion videos to see what I'm talking about).
These two issues are huge for me. It's unfortunate because I love everything else about the phone. How can we make Samsung aware of these issues?

for frame skips, you recording to SD card or internal? do internal for something like that; probably hte sd card not being able to keep up with r/w speeds.
if you're doing internal, then i have no idea lol
Same here. Internal or SD does not matter. Just tested. 1440p / 4k works great. It's the 60fps which seems to make the focus slow...
I agree with this. I recorded slow motion to my external and internal storage and both skip and are choppy.
Here's a sample video I took
https://youtu.be/qgYfoxudl74
easiest way: write an email to samsung, all of you for your own. they won't do anything if somebody says "well on xda there are 10 people complaining and 200 people clicked like".
also prepare to go through the 2-3 standard email answers (reset your phone, do the auto update blabla) no matter what you write. just keep pursuing and after the 4th email it'll take 1-2 weeks for an answer and than you're hooked to the right guy.

Cute dog, btw!
I'm having issues with my video recording in every department. All my videos look like crap, very grainy, i wouldn't even consider any of what i have recorded as high def. 4K, joke! Everyone of them is a joke. I honestly wish i hadn't traded in my S6, the 4K video recording on the S6 was the bomb. I displayed a concert i recorded while in a dark floor mind you onto a Samsung 65" 4K tv & it was flawless. I couldn't believe what i was seeing blown up onto this 65" screen. It was amazing. Now the S7 recording, i'm embarrassed to even upload videos to youtube. Here's an example. This was shot during full daylight in 4K with the S7. Everything is washed out looking & grainy. Certainly not 4k worthy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWKZfxBP4UQ
After watching that now watch something i recorded with the s6 in 4K, HUGE difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTwAC6gBA1A
I have dual 27" 1440p monitors, what ever resolution monitor you have display it in what suits you best
Samsung response to focus problems of the S7 video in 60fps
I've asked Samsung (NL) for a response. First they've told me they will look into it, because the problem should not have been present on all devices.
Later they've added it's a hardware issue and can not be solved by a software update. So no solution: S7 has crappy 60 fps video so live with it.
Very dissapointing. 60fps is one of the features I've needed for recording. A big let down from Samsung.
I think the problem is with the isocell camera sensor. Sony sensor seems to be working fine

Are you guys using SD 820 or Exynos?
I have no issues on an Exynos/IsoCell combo with graininess and choppy slow mo.
However the focus is indeed slower in 60 FPS.
I am using isocell sensor . Focus is very good in all recording settings except full HD 60fps. My friend's galaxy s7 with sony sensor is working fine

Exynos / rear: Sony / front: SLSI (Samsung). Choppy happend sometimes (after restart it is ok). Slow focus all the time.
Looks like Phone can not handle the data storage or cpu speed to manage more multiple fps. Which results in slow focus...
I use QHD or UHD which does not have any problems at all...
Could anyone who has their phone check if you can select 1080p 240fps in the camera app under slow motion? Mine only lets me use 720p for 240fps recording, although both 720p and 1080p are available for 120fps.
I have the CC9 Pro (Chinese version of the Mi Note 10), although I checked the official spec sheet for both the CC9 Pro on the Chinese Xiaomi site as well as the Mi Note 10 on the global Xiaomi site, and both state that 1080p 240fps recording should be possible.
Thanks!
no there's no 1080p 240fps in my cc9pro China rom
With custom mods shoold be possible to add 240fps at 1080 and also 4k 60fps
Also don't get 1080 240p on my Mi Note 10 Pro
Thanks guys, I've since flashed a global ROM onto my CC9 Pro and it's still the same. Seems like it's neither a region or hardware limitation since Kasallamacher's Mi Note 10 Pro has the same issue. It's interesting that all the official information shows that the phone supports 1080p 240fps recording though, hopefully more people notice soon and Xiaomi will do something about it, as I did buy this phone for its camera capabilities after all.
We need someone to unlock 1080 240fps and 4k 60 fps with a custom rom/mod asap!
What do we have to do?
I really need 240 fps?
I bought this phone for its camera features
Nope no 240 FPS
is there any rom or any magisk module that would unlock 240fps 1080p AS ADVERTISED EVERYWHERE...?
so weird that no one has this.
Well, Xiaomi official info:
"1080P slow motion recording 120fps / 240fps"
exactly...

i just got my phone. had to look at the settings. 240 and 960 are 720P only which is weird. the camera should be able to handle it. on the note 10/note 10 pro page it does say 1080p slow motion 240fps. So thats weird (no asterisk either about the pro only being able to do it).
Hi guys, is it possible to record slow motion with the main camera? I can only record it with the wide angle lens and it is very anoying, is the same for you? or it is only me?
Thank you
I have the same. Would appreciate someones answear.

It's not possible, even with SD865 because the 108MP of the main camera are to heavy to handle.
This high resolution brings a lot of issues, one of them is the inability to change lensens while recording a video. It's not possible to switch between 108 mp to wide or zoom 2x/5x.
I am very disappointed from the slow motion functionality - it's very very limited. fixed time for the video and slow motion only at the last quarter, no editing possible.
Coming from a 5 years old iPhone 6S in which I could record any length and edit the slow motion part however I want, I find this extremely disappointing...
Guys i think is enaugh with this SH... Xiaomi smpartphones, i already use a Mi Note 10 und for , camera, Video, Speed, Update its f... bad..
und we are talking for a new Smartphone not for Mi 8 or .. . thats why better other marks..(Oppo, Oneplus, Sam, or whatever. . )

You are kind of wrong there, the inability to change lenses while recording is an inherit issue in all Xiaomi phones, it's a MIUI software optimization issue, it's not hardware fault.

Hi
there is any update about this situation? I understand the need to have a fixed time to record, but it is unusable to record only the last second of the video... I 'd like to record in super slow mo the "middle" of the video, as Samsung or Huawei do. There is some other app tha allow this solution?
https://www.xda-developers.com/onep...e-angle-video-recording-latest-oxygenos-beta/
reading this news I would like to know if the Oneplus 7 Pro will get this feature.
