Hello all,
I am currently running a 4gb sd card with apps2sd on a rooted g1 and was wondering if anyone knew how much trouble it would be to upgrade the sd card size? I was wondering if I could simply format the 16gb card to fat32 and ext2 from linux then dump the file structures over and have it work?
Some other readers had formatting issues and I was curious as to whether this would potentially cause anything of the sort.
Thank you.
It is very probable that you can put a 16GB card on the G1... as long as it's probably formatted. notice that some cards are not read properly because they're not genuine..
Like the title suggests, I'm asking if it is possible to install apps on the storage of the Micro SD card.
To make my self clear, I'm not asking if an apk can be installed from the SD card.
Also, if its not possible to install apps on the storage of the micro SD card, is there a working way to swap the internal and external SD card?
I'm a note 2 owner so, i wan't to know if i'll buy my sister this HTC Butterfly if she can install >16GB worth of apps.
Thank you.
Without playing and modding stuff , NO ... and even when done there's high risk of data corruption
ya, tried that before in my previous S3, and data corruption is so easy to happen, i won't recommend to do it too...
So, its safe to assume that as of this moment, there aren't any way to successfully swap the internal and external SD of the HTC Butterfly.
Also, I cant install apps in the External SD Card Storage.
Hello All
I have been searching for an answer to this but cannot find it so decided to start a new thread. I am sorry if this is a repeat thread.
I have HTC Chacha (A810e). I have a 8gb sd card and i want to know a way to trick the OS into thinking that my SD card is the internal memory and my internal memory is the sd card. This way i would be able to install apps and updates without the issue of low memory. With this, all the android system files will be copied to the SD card as well.
I have successfully rooted my phone and installed the CWM recovery, eventhough it is s-on currently.
I request u all to kindly look into this matter and help me out please.
Hope to hear from you all soon. Thanks
currently i use Link2SD app
but first you need to have a second ext partition on SD card
it moves installed applications to the SD card

Try cronmod INT2EXT+ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716124 :good:
Note: works with a ext2/3 partition and the latest cm11 cwm
hey guys and girls,
so I'm after something similar in style to marshmallow where you can set the micro sd as your device internal storage for everything.
my phone recently broke down and i picked up a galaxy ace and flashed a custom lollipop ROM onto it
but the internal storage space sucks ass and i can't do what i need to do with the current limitation.
so i was wondering whether there is some way using root to replicate how marshmallow sets its main device storage to the micro sd but on lollipop.
any help would be appreciated
anybody?
there has gotta be some way to redirect the internal memory to an external SD card
maybe with xposed or something
I've been trying to move apps to my SD card using Links2SD, but apparently this phone doesn't support moving apps to the SD card. Is there a way to do this?
I also tried "linking" apps to the SD card (even though I'm not quite sure I understand what that means), but I'm getting an error saying I don't have a second SD partition. If this is my last hope, how do I create a new SD partition?
Running Resurrection Remix on 6.0.1.
Thanks!
Edit: found this thread on creating a second partition, but I'm wondering if it's possible to do it on the phone since I don't have a card reader.
I think you can use TWRP to partition the SD card... A ext2/3/4 partition is required to use Link2SD on any device
Note that you cannot use the card as adopted storage. Always set the first partition as FAT32 and the second as ext4, or the card cannot be read in some Windows PC's, I would recommend a minimum 32GB card and at least U1/UHS-1 speed rating for acceptable performance.
