hey guys and girls,
so I'm after something similar in style to marshmallow where you can set the micro sd as your device internal storage for everything.
my phone recently broke down and i picked up a galaxy ace and flashed a custom lollipop ROM onto it
but the internal storage space sucks ass and i can't do what i need to do with the current limitation.
so i was wondering whether there is some way using root to replicate how marshmallow sets its main device storage to the micro sd but on lollipop.
any help would be appreciated
anybody?
there has gotta be some way to redirect the internal memory to an external SD card
maybe with xposed or something

Like the title suggests, I'm asking if it is possible to install apps on the storage of the Micro SD card.
To make my self clear, I'm not asking if an apk can be installed from the SD card.
Also, if its not possible to install apps on the storage of the micro SD card, is there a working way to swap the internal and external SD card?
I'm a note 2 owner so, i wan't to know if i'll buy my sister this HTC Butterfly if she can install >16GB worth of apps.
Thank you.
Without playing and modding stuff , NO ... and even when done there's high risk of data corruption
ya, tried that before in my previous S3, and data corruption is so easy to happen, i won't recommend to do it too...
So, its safe to assume that as of this moment, there aren't any way to successfully swap the internal and external SD of the HTC Butterfly.
Also, I cant install apps in the External SD Card Storage.
Hello.
Have this new Xperia V with stock Jelly Bean rom, only rooted, and when I got a 32GB sd card, I noticed that it was not using it like it was on my last phone with ICS.
On ICS you only had 2 storages - phone storage and sd card. You could move apps to sd and back to phone.
On JellyBean there is only phone and internal storage (like an emulated sd card), and you can move the apps only between those two. The sd card can not be used for apps.
So my question is, is it possible to merge the phone and internal storage, so it only appears as phone storage, and the sd card to be available as an option to move apps to, Like it was on ICS?
If not, would the downgrade to ICS make only one internal storage, and the other one to be the sd card?
EDIT: Is this thread what I am looking for? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2254918
as per attached link u swap sd storage in to internal storage... u need to swap it bro
Hello guys!
I have a problem with my android phone Zte blade q mini. There are 2 memoryes, phone storage and internal memory. I insert sd card, but when i want to move apps to sd card, programs sd card supports as phone storage. How can i install apps from gplay directly to my sd card? The android is rooted. Also, how can i compound internal and phone storage if this is possible? Because i want to have just two memories, phone storage and sd storage. Is this is possible?
Thanks.
P.S. Sorry for bad english ;(
P.S.S. Happy new year
Ok I have an LG Volt thats running Android Kitkat 4.4.2. it has like 4gb of internakl memory and I have a 32gb SD Card in it thats not being utilized. I rooted it because I read with a rooted phone you can move apps to SD Card and clear out bloatware, and I need to make space on my internal memory. I have 1gig of free space left and a game on my phone (that i actually want) is taking up another gig. I want to move that to my SD card but it only moves the app (which is only taking 3mb) it wont move the app data which is taking 1gig. How do I move that data to my Sd card?
Ive tried titanium backup but that doesnt list a move to Sd Card option. Ive tried link2sd, but link 2 SD card is greyd out and it says second partition not found (do i really need to make multiple partition on an SD card to do that? Why not just use the free space thats on its default partition?) and when I try to move it from my phone to my SD card in that program I get a failure message that says "App2SD is not supported by your device. Because your device has a primary external storage which is emulated from the internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your sd card" and then sometime if I try to link it says something about os emulation.
So what I need is step by step instruction on how to move an app (including its data) from my internal storage to my Sd card on my rooted 4.4.2 lg volt. OR how to upgrade my lg volt from kitkat 4.4.2 to Marshmallow 6.0 without bricking it because I hear Marshmallow allows you to turn your Sd card into internal storage which would give me 32 GB of internal storage instead of 8 thus I can keep all my app in my new "internal storage" and not care. Thank you.
surely someone knows >.>
Search lg volt on android forums. Go to root and there's going to be a various selection of threads. Currently devs are working on CM13 I have it installed on mine and yes my SD card is now internal. CM 13 works perfectly BUT some phones may have a green tint in there camera.

Good evening,
My mom's Moto G2 got only 8gb internal memory, so I put a SD card to expand it. I installed the SD card as internal memory using new one new feature on Marshmallow. Things got wrong after some usage and I needed to format the phone using hardreset. Now I discovered that the SD were encrypt.
So there is a way to break the encrypt of the SD OR recovery the phone data to get the key of encrypt data? (Or other way that I didn't think about)
Got some pics on SD that don't want to lose (backuped only internal memory).
Thank's anyway.
