Beeps every 7 seconds while wireless charging! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hello and please help! Phone now beeps while charging. One beep every 7 seconds. Turning off the setting "play a sound when charger connected" does not fix the problem. It's a new problem and has not always done it. I have also switched to another pad of same brand we had in house.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Maybe factory reset.

Like if it we're to connect then disconnect? If so then the cable supplying the unit is loose or bad, or your phone case is to bulky. Mine does this occasionally if I don't center my phone properly. But normally after disconnecting 1st time charger will not try to reconnect untill I lift phone and then reset it.

[Q] My HTC One S won't switch on

Hi guys,
My phone ran out of juice today. When I got home, I connected it to the charger, got about 2 mins of use from it (while it was charging), then suddenly the screen went black (back-lit soft keys stayed illuminated) and the phone started vibrating (softly).
Then eventually it just switched off completely.
Now it seems not be charging at all. The LED charge light isn't coming on. And every now and then while charged, the phone starts that vibrating softly thing. Leaving it connected to the charger for over 1 hour, it starts getting really hot!
Any ideas or am I screwed??
Thanks,
TD
The same happened to me, and the phone war really dead.
If you plug it to the pc via usb cable do you have a qualcomm usb download-mode peripheral? If yes, I really fear that it's gone... At least that was my case.
Sent it to RMA, and they changed my "logic board" (guess that's the soc)...
Edit: in my case, it didn't run out of juice just before, but the same is identical...
Ah that doesn't sound too reassuring lol.
I'll connect it to pc later today and check.
I figured it could be the charging port itself that is damaged and not allowing it to charge to properly?
If its out of manufacturer warranty, how much would it cost to fix, if at all?
thanks,
Nick

If it gets hot I would assume its consuming power or the battery is effed up. Are you able to access hboot or Have you tried to see if adb recognizes your device?
echó en Android
This sounds familiar but if I remember right it happened to me after flashing a bad kernel. It got stuck while booting and wouldn't respond to anything. I don't know how but I managed to resurrect it with a random combo of holding power and volume keys and plugging the cable in and out. After a while it booted into bootloader and I was relieved.

Moto G turning off itself

It's a long history.
One day, my Moto G stop charging. He charge until 1%, then turn itself on, and when it was on, it wasn't charging. I thought that was a OS/software problem, but nothing was sloving. I send to warranty and there they send me back saying that a piece was oxidated and was my fault, so they can't help me. When the cellphone arrive back, it was charging normaly. I really doesn't understand. But my PC wasn't showing the smartphone when plugged in the USB port. I started to use AirDroid.
I have a little struggle to update to Android 4.4.2 but I did it. The smartphone was really weird, but I let it go. Now I have the most annoying problem. It keep turning off by itself. I don't know if is software/OS, hardware, some app, something I'm doing wrong, but it's driving me crazy.
Please guys, help =[
P.S.: Sorry my bad english.
I had same issue where it turned off on its own and wouldn't charge. I plug cable to wall charger and held power button for 1 minute nothing happened so I kept pressing power button repeatedly until it vibrated and started charging.

So, it's charging normally now, but it keeps turning off itself. Another annoying problems is that it turn itself on when I connect it in the USB port on my PC, but not when I plug on wall charger.
Sorry for the double post, but I'm don't know what to do anymore! Please, someone help me! Any ideas!
Try this
Plug it in
Hold power button for 2-3 mins
Leave it charging for an hour then unplug
Hold power button for 30 seconds it should vibrate and boot

I guess you missing the point: I CAN charge and I CAN turn it on. The problem is that the cellphone keeps turning itself off at random. Random time, in random activites.

Hi are you able to connect the phone to a PC? If so I would transfer important data and then do a factory reset to see if that solves your issue sounds more like a software problem to me.
Already did a Factory Reset (the one in Configuration, the one the Fastboot just normally boot the device) and the problem persist.
So no one can help me? =[

does the phone fades purple then goes crazy then shuts down for a while then turns back on?
It did it when I did something different, trying to turning on or recovery, I don't really remember. I remember that I freaked out, because the screen was black, without changing, than I did a reset (Power + Volume Up) and then it reseted.
You already try charging with wall charger? Maybe your PC don't have enough power to recharge this phone
I was able to charge the phone, Anyway, the device stopped to turning off alone. By itself. I didn't do anything different.
I'm so confused.
Something is shorting out inside, probably due to the said oxidation, which will most likely result in such behavior.
If you know how to do it, just open the phone, take the pcb out and clean it well with a dry contract cleaner and a hard toothbrush to remove any oxidation and possible residue.
Later I was thinking that could be it. So if anything goes wrong, I'll do it or ask to someone with a little more experience to do for me.
Thanks.

Some Moto G's do turn themselves ON when you plug in a charger, I have 2 and both do it - you connect the phone when it is turned OFF and then it turns itself on! Sometimes if I plug in the charger and turn OFF the phone quickly it stays off.
It's a bug / feature / quirk but it's unfortunately normal so you can discount that as being a problem related to your other problem.

I'm having this exact problem too. The phone is less than a month old. Twice this week its happened. Phone was close to fully charged on going to bed, I still checked some emails while it was plugged in.. the charging symbol was also on, so I know it was charging ok when I put it down... then in the morning, wake up, phone is off, but the battery display is showing 100% (The big one shown on screen when it is turned off)
Potentially if I was only using my phone as an alarm, I'd have not woken up. I always use a backup, but now this Moto G worries me!
Seems a few people are having this issue!

[Q] Random charging interruptions

Hey guys!
After searching and not finding anything on this forum I opened a new thread.
My OPO is great, but sometimes when I try to charge it, it randomly disconnects and then connects again.
It's really annoying, and I'm affraid it is a hardware problem...
When I change the position of the charger and phone, it works fine.
Also, when I use USB OTG, it connects fine, but when I try to open it, first it disconnects, but then works...
Anyone else with similar problems and possibly with solutions?
Thanks!
Same problem here.
I settet up a sound for charge connect and disconnection.
Sometimes when the phone lies charging on the table, the sound pings like 8 times in the row showing 4 random disconnects.
Without touching the phone, it then continues to charge normaly.
Dont know what to do as a solution.
Any suggestions? dont have an other charger to test it, at the moment...
The problem seems to be with the charger itself. When charging with a samsung charger, there is no problem. The two pin connector of the charger is not getting connected in the socket properly. If you hold the charger firmly in place, the phone charges normally. I think we need to change the charger...
When i try mounting otg....its mounts and disconnects with " usb removed unexpectedly"
Got any clue???
Im getting mad day by day
Same problem here. It is the charger. The cable is fine and is charging well with HTC charger. I found this video. Exactly the same problem. Any help for repair is appreciated OnePlus One charger issue: http://youtu.be/h_vP-KtDpBY
the problem is with ur mobile data.
turn off the mobile data and put it on flight mod then charge it. That's the bug.
this occours on certain networks while on 2g network...switching to 3g or charging on airplane mode solves the issue ...
anyone facing this issue ,Add your vote here and comment
I have already uploaded bugreport on cyanogenmod bug tracking service
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-2490
Have exact same issue with cm 13 snapshot. Really annoying. And no news from cm team for a so looong time.

Nexus 5 Repair gone wrong... !

Hey Guys,
Wondering if anyone on here has any ideas....
Basically, I replaced the screen on my girlfriends Nexus 5. Went through one of the many tutorials on youtube and to my relief it turned on and everything worked fine.
This relief was short lived. In about 30 minutes, the phone turned itself off and then wouldn't go back on. This morning, I took it apart again and checked all the connections and it all seemed to be ok.
Now stuck!
Any help, much appreciated!
The phone doesn't power up at all? If your computer is running windows, connect the phone to the computer and look for any new devices in device manager. If you see something for qhusb bulk, the phone may be bricked.

Nothing at all.
I'd have been less confused if it hadn't worked initially.
Try different USB cables and USB ports when connecting the phone to a computer.
The battery could have completely drained for some reason.
Connect the phone to a 2 amp charger and leaving it charging for 2 to 3 hours, then try to power it up.
If you have access to another battery, try swapping out the battery.
I'll give those ideas a go.
Thanks for the help man, so appreciated!
So, had no luck so purchased a new battery. Put that in this morning, and it's still not working. However, it IS showing when I plug it into a PC which it wasn't doing before.
When I first plugged it into the charger the notification light at the bottom flashed about 5 minutes later.
Was the LED notification RED? Was the screen replacement OEM or non-OEM? Sometimes they replacement screens are questionable.
When repairing a Nexus 5 cracked screen, I have bought a used damaged (Screen good condition) Nexus 5 from ebay (Bad ESN, Water Damage) and just put my Motherboard and battery in it.
With a the new battery in the phone, leave it to charge overnight and see what happens in the morning.

Note 5 appears to be charging when it's not

Hello everyone, I seem to have a problem with my phone, This has been happening since last night. The day I woke up, everything was perfect, then around mid-day, I charge my Note 5 through my computer, then every 1-2 seconds my computer starts playing the disconnected/reconnected sound, and on the other side, the Note 5 flashes on showing that it's charging with a vibration. So I remove the charger, and then the phone continues to flash on with a vibration and saying that it's charging repeatedly, even when the nothing is connected. It also shows the neat little charging animation on the bottom of the screen when you charge it. So in conclusion, when charging, it rapidly disconnects/reconnects flashing the lock screen, with a vibration and charging animation, however upon removing charger, effects still apply. (Appears to be charging when nothing is plugged in. Any tips or advice will help. Thanks.
*Side question: my Note 5 is still in the Lolipop update, and when I go to software updates in settings to check for any updates, It doesn't find any. My Note is a Verizon. Is there any other way to update it? Thanks again.

Get a different USB cable before the one that came with it ends up ruining the phone! The one that came with it is junk! You can update the phone using Odin on a Windows computer by downloading the correct file from the firmware update thread.

Okay, I tried using a different cable, I think it worked? It doesn't turn on with the spamming disconnected/reconnected charging, the problem still occurs when I take out the charger. It still turns on with the charger disconnect/reconnect. Any solutions for that? Thanks!

Try to update using Odin on a Windows computer but it sounds like the USB cable already did the damage. You can try to factory reset it.
