It has been a recent annoyance that the tab switcher on chrome has not been showing the preview on my phone

Does anyone else have this problem? How do I get it to look like this

Having the same problem, found this thread through a Google search. Just wondering if you ever figured out a fix.

In my Vibrant and Nexus One, when I began typing in the browser's address bar, the Google suggestions would start showing with each letter you type. It seems like the only way this can happen now is by typing in the search widget. Does this happen for anyone else or am I missing something?
Btw, I do have the search setting checked on "Show web suggestions as you type"..
Its been a little while since i started noticing this so i am not sure if its the rom i am on (kinda doubt it) or just an update to chrome, but i used to be able to fling to the bottom or top of a web page with ease in chrome. Now it seems that the "fling" option has been removed or is just not working ????
I am fairly certain that its something that will need to be fixed from google but just incase i am on Axiom S 2.8.1b and fusion kernel.
is this bugging anyone else or am i the only one? I cant take it anymore!!!!
First off, I did a search and got no results with regards to this.
This morning I got a couple of updates including Maps and Chrome. Maps seems to be more stable and much smoother i.e An Improvement over the previous.
Chrome is now an absolute basket case!! It now functions in a small window. You can expand it, but you don't get a FULL screen. Those who like to use landscape, FORGET IT!! it will not landscape. Oh and to top it off the refresh function has gone and still a lack of close button!!
NOT GOOD GOOGLE. IF IT AIN'T BROKE.......
Found a work around
I'm having the same problem and found this on chromes dev site:
All of you having issues with small screen, are you rooted and using xposed framework? This is the reason and not chrome. Clicking home and open chrome from recent apps helps in my case.
That worked for me but you'll have to keep doing that every time you close out chrome. Any xda devs know why this is happening and a fix for it?

I been having the same issue as well. I have to back out and go back in to the app to fix it. Whatever the case it's annoying.
It's going to be fixed in the next Chrome update.

Has anyone had the issue where changing the default search engine in the stock browser doesn't work in new tabs?
For instance, I'll change the default search engine to Bing. That tab will use Bing for searches. If I open a new tab or close and reopen the app, it will use Google for searches again.
I'm curious if anyone else has encountered this or knows a way to fix it. I'm using the AT&T S6 with latest 5.0.2 firmware.

I don't have the exact problem but a similar one.
Whenever I change the default search ingine in the stock browser, it always resets back to Google whenever the browser is closed and reopened.
I'm using S6 Dual SM-G9200 with latest 5.0.2 firmware too.
Where can we report bugs to Samsung so they can fix?
Yes that is exactly the issue I was having. The only "fix" I was able to do was installing the stock browser .apk from a deodexed ROM for the G920F. That would require root, at least the way I did it. I'm now rootless (wanted to take the latest AT&T update) and the bug is back. I just went back to Firefox. With that said, I would have to think it will get fixed on an upcoming major update.
I use chrome a hell of alot for browser but noticed if I click out to use another app I cannot switch between using the square recent apps button and when I get on to the menu chrome is never there.
Anyone else notice this running stock 8.0
