Please support Dolby Vision in MX Player. Thank you! - MX Player

My TV is sony A8F.
Cannot play Dolby Vision with MX PLayer in HW and SW.
When playing Dolby Vision with HW+, the output is HDR10.
Please support Dolby Vision in MX Player. Thank you!

Maybe it's a better idea to contact Sony or J2interactive? What do you expect making this thread?

You Should Add AC+ Audio Codec support and 3d video support

Dear Developers,
I know mx player is the best video player ever.
But YOU should add 2 more features.
Firstly,You should add ac3 audio codec support again.:crying:
Secondly,If it possible then you should add a option to play 3D video ( like,The KM Player.exe )
Thank you..:good:

AC-3/DTS support is removed due to patent issues. You can use custom codec to restore the AC-3/DTS support.

h.264 10-bit Video Support

hello,
I might buy the HTC U11 soon but need to make sure it can play an h.264 10-bit video using hardware decoding.
name of the video: [1080p][16_REF_L5.1][FLAC_5.1]Suzumiya Haruhi no Shou****su BD OP.mkv
this is a link for the sample video:
https://www.koi-sama.net/files/hi10/
I really appreciate the help, thank you.
1080 MP3 one Tested and Works on VLC. Tried photos and video player supplied and didn't.
I downloaded wrong one so I'll try the other and update.
Both are as above. Flac works with VLC.
thank you, could you please test it on MX Player? and see if it is using h/w, h/w+ or s/w?
SW. It says HW decoder is not supported.
FWIW, it plays flawlessly.
Be sure to try MPV too.
I can tell you 10 bit h.264 with Dolby AC3 didn't work at all with MX player or VLC on my HTC 10. But it did work with software decoding on MPV.
Plays in MPV but it isn't as smooth as MX

AAC audio pass through is not supported at the moment.
But, ac3 should work. If you have custom codecs, kindly remove it & check again.

Pass through will be done only when there is no system or internal decoders.
Are you using any custom codecs? If you are using any custom codecs, audio won't be passed through as there is a FFmpeg side decoder. If you are not using any custom codecs, probably your system itself has support for ac3/dts.
Anyway, It will be improved in future.

Hey,
MX Player supports audio passthrough only when the amplifier reports its capability to decode a particular codec. If it's not supported, audio passthrough mode may not be used. Kindly contact us at [email protected] along with the detailed information about your setup so that we can assist you better.
