Water resistant question - Samsung Gear S3

I've heard from several who swim and, in one case, dive with the watch and claim no problems. So who has themselves actually damaged their watch by swimming? Trying to find out which experience is to be believed.

I swim in mine all the time. Never any problems. Still works like a champ

So nobody out there has actually damaged their watch through swimming? Not a one? That's a good sign.

Swim with it all the time (right now, holiday in Spain, sea), never take it off - no problems at all, works fine!

(Q) Back plate

When going through airport security has anyone ran into an issue with getting their phone taken apart? It's just where I've dropped it so many times the back plate is hard to stay on because alot of the little clips are broken...causes my battery to become dislodged resulting in random reboots.

I've been through several flights since I've had my S3 and they have never had me take apart my phone. I don't keep it on my person when I'm going through airport security though. Can't say I've had to take apart anything electronic through 4-5 roundtrip flights.

Yes indeed. Makes the whole "empty your pockets" routine incredibly simple. The only item I have had to present is my laptop, but everyone has to remove it from the case and backpack. I've flown international a couple times and domestic, and going back to my last phone, I have flown way more and never had to take apart my cell. I don't think I've seen anyone do so either. But anyway, that's my suggestion if this keeps occurring to you.

This phone is really awful

And I really enjoyed beating the sh-t out of it. Apart from the Alcatel One touch 819D, this must have been the biggest pile of cr-p I ever came across. Constantly hanging, dodgy touchscreen, and it's last know flaw: not having an internal speaker anymore.
I lost it. When it decided to hang itself after testing the internal speaker I just lost it. I even took the time to grab a hammer from the locked toolbox. I feel fine again.
Verstuurd vanaaf miene Oneplus One mit CM11 Nightly-20140929, Franco-r20.
Lol that's one way to solve the problem I suppose
Couldnt disagree more, i still have my DS and as for an everyday phone for working on building sites, on the road etc its a solid little phone that iv dropped, got wet, and with the right setup, rom then i think its great.
Thread closed.
I reckon the OP has made his/her point, and there's nothing further to add.
Thanks

Are these burn in or dead pixels?

Is there any way to fix these? The phones were not used for months and suddenly these appeared.
To that does not look like burn in at all I would recommend you try test code *#0*#(will not work on Verizon) and check the color tests to see what it looks like in rgb. Also are you with in warranty on that phone?
Screen looks like it's broken. Definitely not a burn-in. A dead pixel would be clearly visible, but you seem to have a long line of them.
Seems that line in your screen doesn't work anymore.

Have you dropped your phone recently?

Question Watch 4 - Touch responds by itself.

Strange screen behavior on new watch.
I have been the owner of the Watch 4 44mm since yesterday. Every now and then strange things happen on the screen.
The screen moves by itself, it touches without my intervention.
Do you think that only giving me a guarantee saves me?
If not Ghosts in your Watch...
Some Hardware could be crap or damaged... example Water Damage...
IMHO replace... as soon as possible...
Good Luck.

Now I saw your Videos...
Ehm... Maybe Electrostatic?
Same phenomenon if your watch is on table... NOT on your wrist/arm...
Best Regards
@adfree
It happens on the watch I took out of the box a few hours ago, so I had no contact with anything
I checked and the same symptoms are regardless of whether the watch is on the wrist or is on the desk.
Then still sugestion replace... back to seller...
Best Regards
I had same issue with my GW2 and since it was after an year I started to see the problem could not return the watch...had even contacted Samsung for service but then thought will check on my own as I had nothing to lose...removed the back and some components and I cleaned the watch I felt some very fine dust particle could cause this. since then I did not see the issue. I own GW4 classic now.
