Cannot update from OTANXT-L29

Hi everyone,
I hace bought a international version of mate 8 form a friend who went europe. I have the NXT-L29C185B103 firmware. In Türkiye we have to register our imei to passport, but sometimes people copy imei's of other devices. My device has first imei of a benq a70 and a second imei of Nokia 5210 Can this be the reason for OTA update not working? Has anyone got the update from OTA?

Hi, I haven't received the OTA update either so I installed the update found on these forums and it's working well. I've seen databases list imei numbers before that appear to being to older phones. I don't think that would stop you getting the update.

Tried both B133 and B152. Not working. Incompitability error for both...

mate 8 manual update is very bad
my p8max was easy with manual updates

Try also with Chinese ROMs.
There is a possibility that having those non-original IMEIs you will never be able to update or flash: but why the IMEIs have been changed?

The original IMEI's were not registered. In Türkiye, if you bring a phone from outside, you have to register it to your passport. Some people bring phones in their pockets to sell without the registration. If you can find someone to register you can. Or you can copy old phones IMEI numbers to trick the registry. I bought this Mate 8 this way.

So you don't even know which were your 2 original IMEIs? Do you have the original Mate 8 box?
Do you know how these "old" IMEIs were inputted into your Mate 8? Maybe this operation corrupted some critical configurations...
Anyway, please remember that changing the original IMEI is not a legal activity and this subject and related involvements might not be appreciated by the moderators.

Bricked Honor 8

I really screwed up!
I wanted to change firmwares from al-00 to l-09 (chinese to european) so I tried to debrand it first.
From what I've seen on other threads this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZVsIKtdgV4&t) was also applicable to honor 8.
My problem is that I've changed the oeminfo & custom.bin to that of a huawei p9 and the phone is now bricked, if anyone knows how to help it would really be appreciated

Nah, the phone thinks it's a Huawei P9 so I can't do anything like that

Honor 6x Rollback/Downgrade

Hello, I have problem with my Honor 6x BLN-AL10.
I upgraded my honor 6x to Android Nougat 7.0, but I want to go back to MM 6.0 is there any file that will back my system? Or tell me what can I do, how to do to back up the system, please help.

He meant that you should rebrand your phone to be a us version of honor 6x, then use the rollback package of the US model. That's better tbh

So tell me one more time, do I have to install another soft for example BLN-L23 and downgrade android? because i dont understant and tell me How much is it safe?

You should rebrand it to use US or EU firmware, then use the rollback package of which you rebranded your device to

Okay tell me its not problem if i will instal firmware BLN-L23 on my BLN-AL10?

Or whitch firmware i should install? BLN-AL10 is from china, BLN-L23 is from EU yes?

It's not easy like installing a firmware, there's a rebranding guide.

You can debrand to L21, just follow the same steps, you just replace L22 firmware by L21

Hello, when in finger firmware i find the software that i want to install, i do not see it in update. I have android 7.0 if it will help, localhost and port 8080 enabled

ok I skipped this problem but i have next problem, When I download my software, once in a while I get the message that the WLAN is weak when I have 30mb ... and when I start installing the software, the phone starts to reset and the message "instalation failed"

Hello, I've been using Huawei Y5 II CUN-L01 with DOT ROM 1.2 for CUN-L03/21/23 and it's been working great.
The only problem here's just the IMEI, it's not recodnised.
So, does anyone have Stock Firmware Flash File/Scatted Loading/System file backed up for Huawei Y5 II CUN-L01C577B129?
Or if you can help me fix the IMEI, I've tried the Champelephon, MTK engineering mode, not working..
Anyone help?

Hi, i have a Vodafone Oppo find X2 pro and i want to debrand it, so I have an Stock Europe Rom, but when i'm gonna to flash with MSM download tool V 4.0.28 I get the error: "firehose communication handshake failed"...
What can I do?
Somebody told me that if I flash a stock rom I will not receive OTA updates again, because my IME is linked to Vodafone. Is this true?

As far as I know, the phone won't be branded as such.
I got mine from EE. It used to say EE in the software version string but after changing the region (look at thread about changing region) this changes to whatever region/carrier you changed it to.
No need to flash a European ROM manually. I don't think that's possible anyway.

You need to do the region change hack, that way you can change from EE to the generic CPW version used in the UK, or another region of you wish

Could you please share the MSM download tool, I have searched everywhere for it, and I couldn't find a working version... I need it to downgrade my OPPO Find X2 PRO from A11 to A10 so I can change my regions too...

It can't be done. You need an authorized oppo service account to access the flashing software.

i sold the phone **** oppo.... (but in theory only at the oppo certified service you can go back, or some idiots online who pretend that they can fix, but is risky)

In iraq we haven't good service center, i know they can but i don't know why they don't do that.
