How can I merge the 1GB and 8GB memory on my TV box. Trying to add a SD but it does not do anything to increase either of the two memories. The 1 GB RAM is working out too less. Any suggestion how to increase that memory size.

Hi,I've got some problem with taken movies. Recorded videos on my LG O3D dont go smooth. Doesnt matter do I record video on internal or external SD videos dont go smooth. here you can see how does it works>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=688IB2t0YFA
does anyone have similary issue?
I have only tried filming 3D footage but on that I had occasional stuttering though nothing as noticeable as you are experiencing.
There are two probable causes. If you are recording, as I do, to an external SD card check what class it is as for HD recording you really need a class 6 or better card (the higher the class the higher its writing speed, basically).
A second cause is if you have a number of apps or services running in the background as this could eat up your phones 512 Mb memory. You can check this by going to the settings menu and in the applications section see what is running, kill things you don't need and then record another video and see if it helps.

I've got 10 class memory card installed in phone.Problem still exist when I record videos on internal memory, however on clear, new rom I didn't noticed any lag. If more apps I have videos are less smooth. Now I've got 244app and 50MB free RAM. Propably that is proof that this phone has not got enough RAM.

Well it's not your sd card then
Surprised you only have 50 Mb ram free, I have lots of apps I have downloaded and usually have between 100 and 150 Mb free even with a number of those working in the background. Have you tried force closing the ones you don't need running and then recording to see if that helps?
As for 512 Mb ram I agree it should have been more, 1 Gigabyte would have been great, it would make the phone so much more enjoyable but aside from a couple of HD games not wanting to run I haven't had any problems caused by lack of memory so it is fine for now but I can see it becoming an issue for some as some high end games can eat up that much memory now.

Same issue in videos.... optimus 3d seems to be a very lagging phone :\
Videos lose smoothness even if you record on internal memory (fortunately not often).
For now it seems I resolved installing the AcuraTeam rom, which lets you record smoother videos, even on a class 4 SD card.
I suppose the problem is the stock LG kernel...
Hey guys,
I have a query about the file-size of apps from moving them from the internal storage to the USB storage. How come it increases in size?
For instance, take Angry Birds Star Wars
When it's in internal memory (Move to Phone) , it's 48mb
When it's in USB Storage, the total filesize is 51.18mb
That's not a big difference, sure.
But when I transfer small file-sizes, it increases big-time.
For instance, take Camera ZOOM FX Composites,
It's filesize on internal memory is only 368KB, but when I move it to USB storage, it increases to 2.07mb, that's a increase of almost 500% file-size. Can anyone explain why?
Thanks for your help guys
I have a Tmax 9" hd tablet

WiFi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n

8GB of internal memory. Add up to 32GB of memory through the memory slot (a lie!)
Connect to your TV and other devices using the high-definition video port
Includes these apps: Google™ Play, Gmail™, Chrome™, Google Search, and many others
I got it as a gift it works for the most part but the internal storage is horrible.
it says 8gb internal storage however its 1 gb internal then a 6gb or something internal sd card, I'm trying to install an app thats around 360mb but its pretty much factory reset and I dont have enough space... i can move it to the sd card but when I try to patch it, it says there isn't enough room half way through. So if I root the tablet can I maybe install stuff directly to an external sd card?
Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question/device.

Good luck
I'm interested in expanding my phone's RAM because I've noticed I run enough apps that it goes slow.
It has 1.5 GB memory, and 5 GB HDD.
I have an option of buying a 64 GB micro SDXC card. I want to know the best write speed for it if I intend to use it for virtual memory, IF using virtual memory via SWAP is even preferable to running apps directly off the SD card.
Here are the phone specs:
RAM: 4700 mb/s
Internal memory: 59 mb/s (read), 24 mb/s (write)
sd card: 60 mb/s wite: 24 mb/s
So I'm thinking, any SD card I get is going to be slower than real RAM, but if I get the cards that read/write 90 mb/s and 80 mb/s, that should be far superior to what I would get off the internal SD card, no?
Also, if I have files on the external SD while using it for virtual memory, will that mess things up?
Hi there!
So I have a Samsung Evo+ 128 GB micro SD card and I'm curious which file system would be optimal to use.
Since I use custom ROM and kernel file system support isn't really a problem. I had many problems with FAT32 so I try to avoid it at all cost. I've been using the card as exFAT for half a year now and it's not bad. Even though it doesn't seem to be as fast as it could according to benchmarks and official description of the card furthermore, when I do multitasking while listening to music stored on the card, the music stutters once a minute. According to my own statistics the card achieves the best performance with NOOP I/O scheduler and lowest (128kb) read-ahead size. Would it prove higher performance if formatted as F2FS/EXT4 or NTFS?
Detailed device description:
Phone(4GB RAM version)
OS(always latest for I'm a flashaholic)
Kernel(always latest)
I would go with exFAT for compatibility and stability.

I thought the same. Speed isn't much good if you lose your files.

EXT4 and f2fs are the most common formats used in android.
