Can't Access TWRP Recovery

Hi guys, I flashed the latest factory image, then flashed the latest TWRP but can access it 1 out of 10 tries.. What am I doing wrong? Is it a faulty replacement phone? Never had this issue with my other nexus 5 (same recovery file but lollipop and not marshmallow) and now I have this problem.. Tried to riflashato the factory image 5 times, boot to recovery without installing but nothing changed.. Thanks in advance!
If you just just flashed TWRP, then booted into Android, then reboot into recovery.. Android will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery.

This is not really a fix, since to use Flashify one needs to be rooted already.
What I did to work around this was reflash LMY48M. After reflashing that, fastboot correctly boots/flashes twrp.
I've read that the issue arises when trying to boot and/or flash twrp with MRA56K installed, AND the device is connected to USB.
Ok, i got some of problems here, i tryied to root my Nexus 5 with other Android 6 version, it was the first one launched after development version. Now i have MRA58K version.
Problem 1 : I have no stock recovery, i first rooted original version of Marshmallow with CWM and i soft bricked, so no backup, no factory images. Installed MRA58K and there is no stock recovery, thanks god i can use bootloader. I can install TWRP, but i want to install the old recovery, Tell me how to do it.
Problem 2: Actual version of Marshmallow ask me to install a patch, but when installing i got stuck in TWRP, it cant install it (yes, android was rooted, but i installed twrp before root, and the update were before it.)
Thanks.
You can flash a stock ROM using the flash-all file in a command prompt. This will install stock ROM with stock recovery. Make sure the phone has an unlocked bootloader and you should be fine.
Official OTA updates cannot be installed with a custom recovery.
I tryied 3 times to install OS with flash-all. All the problems start after i installed CWM and try to root the phone, but after that, i used a stock rom image that was different build than actually one.
I`m not sure yet who`s fault is.
Any ideas?
I don't recommend using CWM, only TWRP.
After you flash TWRP always boot into it, and since you're flashing a custom recovery I'm going to assume you don't care about OTA's, swipe to allow system to be mounted. TWRP will automatically patch the system to survive android trying to overwrite it. Reboot into TWRP a second time to be safe. TWRP should stick from now on until you flash over it or restore stock system partition.
Yes, now i have TWRP as recovery, but i want to replace it with stock recovery.
Problem is, when i upload stock recovery and try to boot in recovery mode, i got the green dead android with red triangle.
But after TWRP uploading and booting in recovery mode, TWRP is there..
I really don`t know what`s wrong.
Flash stock recovery, select recovery from the fastboot menu, hold the power button and press volume up button.

Nexus 5 in Bootloop after unlocking and installing TWRP 2.8.7.1

Hello,
I wanted to install a custom Rom on my Nexus 5 running Android 6.0 so I downloaded TWRP latest and unlocked the Bootloader and installed TWRP.
Now the OS doesn't bootup anymore and the TWRP starts but gets rebooted all the time.
Tried to install an older TWRP version 2.8.70 and sideloaded and installed Pure Nexus Rom but this doesn't fix the problem.
Wiping anything from TWRP gives error messages...
Anyonw can help please!?
OK I have the stock recovery now installed from Android 6.0 and the OS boots up with Pure Nexus... looks OK,...
Anyway what's the problem with TWRP now!?
I don't think so. TWRP 2.8.7.1 is working fine for months. Did you full wipe before flashing your custom rom? Did you flash something else?
U need to install twrp 2.8.4.0 first because twrp 2.8.7.1 can only re-write on twrp 2.8.4.0 or higher..its work fine for me at official google M

That happened to me way back when I first used TWRP. From the official TWRP thread:
"If you have just used fastboot oem unlock, you should let the device boot up normally first before trying to install TWRP."
I think if you don't boot fully once before trying to install TWRP, it loops like that.

Updating rooted Lollipop device to Marshmallow/installing TWRP

Hi,
I have a rooted Nexus 5 running a modified AOSP 5.1.1 and CWM Recovery. I wish to update it to the official 6.0.1. I got an update notification and went ahead and downloaded/installed the update, but after the download and upon reboot, CWM recovery informed me that the zip is invalid (signature verification failed or something), and the update was aborted, so the device is still stuck at 5.1.1, and subsequent system updates checks after reboot shows that the device is up to date.
I also wish to change my recovery to TWRP instead since ultimately I want to run Chainfire's suhide.
What do I need to do to go from my current environment (CWM Recovery with modified AOSP 5.1.1) to the new one (TWRP with official 6.0.1 with SuperSU/suhide)?
Download and and flash the official Google ROM using fastboot commands, set up the ROM, run all OTA updates, flash TWRP via fastboot.

Update after installing TWRP don't work

I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and the official Rom. Installed the magistik and rooted the device.
Now when it asks for update and reboot instead of updating it goes to the recovery instead of updating.
Any idea in how to solve that ?
On my Note 3 installing updates never worked, it tried , failed and asked me to download complete rom ( newest with update included ). So I always istalled complete rom without wiping anything...
What TWRP do you use ? Installing TWRP did only last till first restart then it was replaced. On note 3 I used lazyflasher no dmverity.zip and TWRP stayed...

installing TWRP dont work

I have two devices where install TWRP dont work.
They are unlocked and i try many times to flash it via fastboot but booting into recovery ends in stock recovery.
Is there any solution to install TWRP or lineageos another way?
it was the issue that recovery is overwritten on stock rom start if the system has ever made an update
