S-Health Not working on S8 (using stock firmware without root) - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Greetings, My S8 used to have a custom rom installed with root, but i went back to stock rom yesterday using Odin but now when i try to log into my S-Health it says my phone is rooted! I've downloaded root checker and it said my phone "isn't properly rooted". i don't know what to do, i don't want to root the phone again but i need to get the s-health working again. I've also read some posts here and some people have tried installing an old version of s-health which i tried but it didn't work for me as well
please help
thanks in advance

Root your phone with Magisk then use es file explorer and go to /system folder then open build prop with es file editor and change ro.congif.tima value to 0 then restart your phone. If shealth works unroot Magisk and enjoy!

[Resolved] How to Root BLU Life One 2015

Here is how to root the new BLU Life One, there are probably many ways to do it but this was the best way that I could find.
Note that I tried to root with framaroot, towelroot, and iroot and their apps have failed.
Try this of your own free will, I am not responsible for anything happening to your device (it worked for me so it should work for you).
What you will need:
kingoroot, supersu, busybox, root checker, and titanium backup.
First things first,
Go into settings and check the box next to "Unknown sources".
Next open up the internet tab and search for Kingoroot (kingorootapp dot com)
Click the download button for android (not the windows one)
When it finishes downloading, click in the drop down menu and install the apk.
Open the kingo root app, and click root circle.
After the app is finished rooting your device, you can download Root checker in the play store to ensure that your device is indeed rooted.
Now, I personally don't like kingo root, so the next steps are optional.
In the play store download three apps, SuperSU ( i use chainfire), busybox, and titanium backup (i suggest buying the paid version, it is well worth the money).
Next open up SuperSU (KingoUser should ask to grant SuperSU root access, allow it), and install the SU binary. Do not reboot system.
Next open titanium backup, click the middle tab, then scroll down until you see SuperSU. Long press, and then press install to system apps. (you can do this manually by using ES file explorer and copying the SuperSU.apk file [may need to download it from the internet] in to the/system/app folder.
Now restart your device.
When the device boots back up, check and make sure that your device is still rooted by using root checker again.
If it is still rooted, open SuperSU and make sure you dont have to install the binarys again (you shouldnt have to).
Next uninstall the kingo root app (it will not let you uninstall the kingouser app, for this you must use titanium backup)
Now go into your system, applications and then disable kingouser app.
After doing so, check and see if your device is still rooted (it should be)
If it is still rooted, proceed to use titanium backup to uninstall kingouser app.
Lastly install busy box. If you get an error saying "unable to install choose another location" simply click on where it says "/system/xbin" and change it to "system/bin".
And there you should have a freshly rooted device with no kingoroot. Not saying Kingoroot is bad, i just have always used SuperSU

Hi, thanks for this info, works for me. You should publish this info in the official Blu Life One thread. Thanks again for this.
if someone here has a working blu life one 2015, could you do a rom dump. a bunch of us have soft bricked phones and can't get them working. Blu doesn't have the stock rom available
Hey thanks for this guide! I have one problem I'm hoping you could shed some light on. I've followed your steps and when I try to update the SU binaries it fails every time. The kingroot worked and the kingroot su asked if I wanted SuperSu to have root access and I selected yes. Each time it fails to update it suggest I reboot and try again, but I haven't yet.
Thanks again
Robert

About Nightowl rom on galaxy note n7000 (root related)

hello xda
this is my first post so if it's wrong to post here please warn me.
So here is my problem
my phone is galaxy note n7000 build number lsz
1. installed partiton via odin to increase my internal application setup folder to 6 gb
that worked great
2.installed philz touch 5.06
that worked too
3. installed kernel from http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note/development/rom-t2938649
3.installed nightowl rom and gapps from above
that worked too
i opened developers options and arrange root access to apps and adb
i can use phone with no problem but when i try supersu or superuser or busybox or titanium backups my phone says u need to have root access
then i tried xxx.signed.zip folders to root again and again, no good so far
i installed a root checker from googleplay it says rooted check but i cant use anything root related
and when i try folder manager it says open root access so i say yes and it freezes there
i know its a little complicated (at least for me because its for my first attempt i was using 4.1.4 stock rom) but if u read and help me i' appreciate
sorry for my english

[Completed] Cant install v4a, possibly due to partial/incomplete root on vf685 smart kicka

Hi guys. I have a weird problem... I have a vf685 with android 4.4.2
Im trying to install viper audio(v4a) from this site but it fails and says its due to a problem with busy box or my device is not "completely rooted". I am rooted and used several root checker apps to confirm. I have twrp installed as well, xposed modules, root explorers, etc. Everything works fine... Except v4a and also when I open mtk droid tools the square is orange/yellow and it should be green, i have to first click to get root permission. I used king root(not kingo root) to root it, its the only one that seems to work on this phone, I didn't like the superuser app from kingroot so I searched google and found a zip file to replace kinguser with SuperSU and installed with terminal emulator. Is my device only partially rooted (if that's possible) or if not what else could it be?
P.S. its not a problem with busybox, although busybox is installed to /system/bin. Not to /system/xbin
Please help!

viper4android not processing samsung galaxy express 3 j120a

hi i have a samsung galaxy express 3 j120a ud AT&T and im runing android 6.0.1 i have init.d support and i have super su and root and ive installed the latest viper4droid fx and it installs correctly and the driver installs and driver status is normal and ive gotten it to process my audio a few times randomly with my bluetooth but it wont process my audio with my speakers or headsets and barly works in bluetooth constantly turning on and off how can i fix this thanks
i tried to install viper then go edit system/build.prop
but
Ipa.decode=true should read Ipa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=true to tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=true to lpa.use-stagefright=false
dosent exist and i tried moving the latest viper apk to /system and changing the permissions to read/write and installing it that away but it dosent seam to work i sometimes get bluetooth to process audio but nothing lse dose and bluetooth sucks at it cause it practally never works and it says the driver status is normal also i cant select a default sound application in my settings how can i fix this on samsung galaxy express 3 NOTE: i do have super su and root and i can flash zip files with flashfire. i also converted viper to a system app before installing the driver.
i also have the fallowing apps pre installed on my stock rom
adapt sound
sound picker
sound alive
spliy sound service
viper4droid
NOTE: i tried to freeze all the sound apps except viper and it dident change anything i dont wanna uninstall them just incase of regressions
i flashed viper4android from zip and the driver instalation process tells me that bussybox isent installed only after i make audio effects.bak and audio effects.conf in /system/vender/etc
yet it is.
but when i delete those 2 files the driver installs fine but it wont process
or should i try to flash a viper4droid.zip installler file or flash file? NOTE: i do have a copy of the stock rom and boot and everything else btw.
oh btw now the driver wont install. where it succeded in installing before...
im going to assume its impossible to get viper working on this rom hopefully a custom rom comes out for this device or phone.
now whenever i install viper app it askes if i want to raplace this app with the factory version? whatd i do and how do i fix it xD thanks
also how could i go about geting a custom rom or twrp or cwm on this phone and could i pay someone?
i went aead and re odin my factory rom its all fine now and everything works i can install viper with no problems again but it still wont process audio.?
ok so i used this link to root my phone with king root http://techbeasts.com/root-galaxy-express-3-j120a/
Required downloads:
Download and install Samsung USB drivers
Download and extract Odin 3.11.1 on your computer’s desktop
Download boot image for your phone: ENG_BOOT_J120A_PG1
Download KingRoot and Super SUME APK files. Extract the folder and copy the APKs to your phone’s internal storage.
How to flash boot image to make the phone root-able
Open Odin.exe from the extracted Odin files you downloaded on your computer’s desktop.
In Odin, click the “AP” tab in Odin and select the ENG_BOOT_J120A_PC1.tar for your device that you just downloaded above.
The only options checked in Odin should be Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time. No other options should be ticked.
Now put your phone in download mode. Turn it off first. Now press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons. As soon as it boots up, leave the keys. Once it shows warning, press Volume Up to continue.
Connect your phone to your PC while Odin is open.
Once your the ID:COM box turns blue in Odin after the successful connection, click the Start button.
It will flash the boot image file and reboot the phone now.
Install Kingroot
Now on your phone, go to settings > security > allow unknown sources.
Open a file manager and locate the copied Kingroot APK file.
Tap the Kingroot APK file and install it.
Once installed, open Kingroot from the app drawer.
Tap the Android Icon on the screen shown in Kingroot or if it’s already processing, let it do that.
Kingroot will start finding an exploit to root your device now. As soon as it finds an exploit, it will root and reboot your device.
Replace King User with SuperSU
Install Super SUME APK just the way you installed Kingroot.
Open Super SUME from the App Drawer now.
Follow the instructions on-screen to finish the Super SUME procedure.
Super SUME will begin to uninstall Kingroot in favour of SuperSU now.
After uninstalling KingRoot it will install SuperSU.
SuperSU will appear in app drawer after installion. That’s all.
NOTE: sometimes when u flash the ENG_BOOT_J120A_PG1 file to get root with king root it wont work try rebooting trying again or flashing file again with odin i had to flash 3 times in some cases.
READ ALL BEFORE TRYING ROOT IMPORTANT!
and after i got king root to root my phone through this method i had to downlaod a different copy of supersu me pro from i think this link https://apkpure.com/super-sume/darkslide.com.supersume if its not the right one then just google a pro copy apk but yea so once super user is done with king root and u have a copy of supersu me pro that works just run it u may have to do it a few times and it may act funny or seem to pause half way through the root process but if it dose (like it did on mine) just have supersu app installed and run it while supersu me pro is running and it should install sucessfully keep trying till it dose thats what i did oh btw when u get super user with king root download link to sd and freeze all these apps ok (scrole down)

and keep runing supersu me pro and supersu me untill it installes root succesfully that worked for me
also i JUST got viper4android to work with samsung galaxy express 3 btw fallow the guide in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFqbz8Ytjx0 and download the files from the mega link in description of video.
and now i have supersu and viper4android NOTE: be sure to have installed bussybox before trying to install viper its needed i got my bussybox from fdroid.
also if u want to get xposed modules working download an app called flashfire i think 0.53 is the latest once u have root with supersu and download and install xposed framework wanam 20161128 and flash the zip with flash fire and a side note the newest copy of gltools also works with driver support i havent had a single problem with gltools. if ur system ui crashes after boot eather keep rebooting untill it stops crashing or unsinstall an app u may think caused the issue or unfreeze an app that may be causeing it dont freeze apps unless u think its safe do it at ur own risk and freeze only apps i have found to be frozen with little to no problems. as far as xposed modules go lucky patcher installs but dosent work right due to not being on a custom rom and device id changer free works fine and xinternal sd works great and xprivacy works great and android n ify works great also gravity box for 6.0 marshmallow works fine but i only used it to make volume buttons switch tracks and for a battery bar i recomend not useing it for anything else as it has caused my phone to freeze and crash and bootloop so if u want a battery bar and to change tracks on lock screen use gravity box if u dont need those things then dont use it at all or at ur own risk.
so now u have viper and xposed and supersu enjoy it has been a pain in my ass for a long time so have fun. NOTE: there is no custom recovery for this phone sometimes when u flash these files the phone will bootloop but TRUST ME if it boot loops take the battery out and turn it back on untill it turns on sometimes doing this will force the phone to clear dalvic catch i think because it upgrades all the android apps again so keep removing the battery if it dosent work after about 20 tries the reflash ur stock rom with odin just download a stock rom from google for this device and flash all files ap=ap etc... hope this all helps

My phone is Schrodinger's rooted

Hello, I'm having a problem with opening up an google pay wallet because my phone is read as rooted. The thing is it is not rooted. I rooted in a previous version of MIUI but after updating the root fell apart and I didn't have root permission's nor is my phone found rooted by root checker. Yet I st ll have problems.
how do I unroot an unrooted phone
Edit: root checker finds that root is not properly installed
Xiaomi mi 9 Lite
Android (And most Linux distros) will have a binary file namer "superuser" to give root access to a user (Or simply just switch to the root user)
The problem is simple: You updated while having root permissions, and this caused you to be the superuser (also known as root) while not having properly functioning root access. You can't do much, try flashing a new ROM maybe.
I want to remove root Access altogether not try and reroot it. Unless fully rooting again would help me unroot
Disable all permissions from Google play service and set up Google pay.
Then re enable them after your Google pay is set up.
Im adding google pay to an existing bank account, i still tried but it doesnt work. would factory resetting maybe help? i know it doesnt delete system files so it wouldnt unroot a rooted phone but maybe it might just work?
