It is, yes but OTA recovery will fail because of recovery.
Download prerooted version and flash if you want to use 5.0.2.

If I was you, I would roll back to stock and sacrifice root then update to lollipop

I just bought a new Note 7 Pro with MIUI China ROM installed. I am currently waiting to unlock bootloader in order to flash a new ROM. After checking, it appears that the Xiaomi.eu ROM is based on the Chinese variant and thus has no Widevine L1, unlike the India Global ROM. So which ROM should I install instead? Is the Global MIUI suitable or should I install a custom ROM? I am looking for a ROM that can use with root and can have Widevine L1.
Latest Eu weekly rom has L1 , and Netflix works fine in 720p

Not yet, in the coming update there would be L1, guess so.

i have xz softbank variant 601SO(nougat stock firmware),unlock bootloader yes
i came back from 8.0 oreo global firmware(change to global make my xz nfc is off and poor battery life,low signal,and deep sleep not working)
all the guide here to twrp+magisk based on oreo
(including au and docomo variant)

Hi everyone, i wanted to update from official indonesia RoM to EU Beta Rom on MI 11. I have to lock my bootloader after flashing indonesia RoM from Global stable rom with unlocked boot loader as Gpay services and Netflix didn't work. Is it possible to update my Indonesia stable RoM to EU Beta after unlocking bootloader? Does the Gpay app and other apps work with EU Beta roms with unlocked boot loader. Need help. Thank you.
