I Purchased (Imported) a OP7 Pro 8GB/256GB. I will be receiving the device tomorrow and wish to install OOS. It's coming preinstalled with Hydrogen I believe. Basically what rom should I install?
US? UK/EU?
I live in Australia. If I go on the Australian website I am able to download firmware:
9.5.7.GM21BA 11th June 2019.
If there are any Australians with a OP7 Pro message me.
Really all up to you. If you are farmiliar with flashing and okay with dealing with some bugs at the moment, try any of the AOSP roms. Havoc has most issues fixed; i haven't tried aosip yet. If you don't want to deal with bugs, just stick with OOS for a little bit until the AOSP ones can get everything situated.
Global or EU
Global or EU of fine.

GM1910 is the Chinese variant OnePlus 7 Pro running HydrogenOS (with GM21 build tag).
It is possible to flash both GM21AA (global) and GM21BA (EU) OxygenOS firmware on top of the HydrogenOS using the Local Upgrade method.
Bootloader unlocking is not necessary for switching to OxygenOS.
After conversion, you'll get OTA update from the respective branch.

So I want to confirm this. Is Mi Mix 3 4G got Widevine L1 support? Mine doesn't have Widevine L1. I use Global Rom PEEMIXM.
Some people tells me that there are two version of this device, the global version and chinese version.
They told me that my device is fake global version (chinese version with global rom) so that's why I don't get Widevine L1.
No, just Xiaomi doesnt want to provide this feature for Mix3. Its funny, other flagship device like Mi8 isnt supporting W L1 too but they have updated cheap poco f1. #Xiaomithings
There's a fix on the eu forum, but it doesn't work on the Mix 3.
It wont work because this patch is made for devices which had official support for W L1 earlier and it was broken later on xiaomi.eu

Hey!
Did anyone Flash the xiaomi.eu 12.5 custom ROM on their poco f2 pro in 2021? Or of recent? I've tried so many tutorials online, but nothing works. I'm devastated.
My phone came delivered with the Global EU ROM. I switched it to the Global ROM version via fastboot.
Please anyone help me!!
I really want to flash the new 12.5 custom ROM. Which TWRP works?? I've bricked my phone way too often.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My phone info :
Miui version : MIUI Global 12.2. 4 Stable // 12.2.4.0 (RJKMIXM)
Android version: 11
Android security Patch Update : 2020-12-01
Thanks!!

Oh god. Thank you!!
Working great on my phone using xiaomi.eu link
I just flashed the Xiaomi.eu rom for my Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G India device, according to which the device codename is peux. The same can be seen in the pinned post of this forum, which says the Indian device has the codename peux.
However, I cannot find a stock ROM with the same codename at xiaomifirmwareupdater.com.
To quote xiaomiui.net, the rom codename should be peux:
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G India model will be the same as the global Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (veux). Although the codename is “veux”, the ROM codename is “peux”. To summarize, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Global (veux) will be available in India as Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G.

And as per gizmochina.com, the rom codename should be veux:
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G that debuted in global markets recently is codenamed as “peux,” but its ROM codename is “veux.” As can be seen in the screenshot of the Mi code shared by Xiaomiui, the device with the “peux_in” codename will be arriving in India with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G.

One thing is for sure. The Global Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Indian Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus have the same specs and therefore should support the same rom. This can be seen in Xiaomi.eu's download chart as well.
My only concern would be the codename reported in build props and elsewhere if I use the veux ROM from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com.
I would appreciate any kind of help/pointers.
PS: This device is not to be confused with Redmi Note 11 Pro+ China which has the codename pissaro.

Can you poste the rom and type version.

Type:2201116SG, 2201116SR,etc..

Unfortunately, I didn't record any details of the stock ROM that shipped with the device before flashing the EU ROM. I didn't anticipate such a situation.
According to getdroidtips.com, the version should be V13.0.6.0.RKCINXM.
And here's what the Xiaomi.eu ROM reports now: V13.0.14.0.RKCMIXM 2201116SI
If compared with the screenshot provided by xiaomiui.net, the EU ROM reports veux/veux:11 in the device's fingerprint (could be because it's based on global version of MIUI), while the Indian ROM reports peux_in/peux:11 in the fingerprint.

The closest is 2201116SC but VEUX Maybe try with MIflash
Custom rom better than stock https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-13-stable-release.64441/
You will be able to see that there are roms for PEUX and VEUX (so not the same ones).

If you look closely, both ROM codenames have been given as VEUXG, which means that the ROMs are the same.
Also, is there a way to read build.prop from a ROM's zip file without installing it? That might resolve some doubts.

It's just, I saw the top line.
It is surely good.
Is there no way to get the actual ROM that shipped with the device that will report the fingerprint to be peux_in/peux:11? Or is it the same as the veux's India ROM at xiaomifirmwareupdater.com?
I also checked their official site for ROM download, but to no avail.

Surely but the other 5g versions too.
Alright. I just flashed the veux India ROM from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com, and I can confirm that the fingerprint has been restored to reporting peux_in/peux:11 just as it should be.
So, the answer to my original question would be:
The official stock ROM for peux devices, i.e. Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G India, is the Indian version of veux's ROM as listed at xiaomifirmwareupdater.com.
Hey. I have the same Indian Redmi Note 11 pro plus 5g
Snapdragon 695 model
2201116SI
peux
Miui Global 13.0.4.0 Stable RKCINXM
Android 11
Maybe I could download the latest package from the updater and upload and send you the recovery rom if you need.
But can you also explain how did you flash the eu rom and why did you switch it back to global?
Edit : Received android 12 update today.

Thanks for offering @Aadharsh.1, but I was able to restore back to the stock firmware using the veux ROM from the xiaomifirmwareupdater.com. It now does show the device codename to be peux.

I think you are confused between the official EU region ROM offered by Xiaomi and the Xiaomi.eu ROM I talked about here. The Xiaomi.eu rom is a modded version of the MIUI for this device with bloatware and ads stripped and with some added extra features. Installation process is similar to installing any other custom ROM.

I didn't receive this update yet. Let's see what happens in the next week or two. Or maybe I would have to hit you for the recovery zip after all.

I asked why did you switch back to the global rom? I'm asking this because I wish to flash the EU rom on my device and would like to know your opinion on it.

I get notifications for the update but I don't want to update it. A person I know has the same device and they updated it to Android 12.
The Google Dialer is full of bugs and now much worse than before. The caller id never shows up and the phone just freeze on that screen. This the reason why I decided not to update it.

They roll out the updates randomly per device. You can wait or you can find it on the internet if you want it now.

If you are using the EEA (EU version) then you still have to wait for an OTA update. The 13.0.1 is no longer offered via OTA and the 13.0.2 as well as the 13.0.3 have been pulled by Poco (Xiaomi).
However, you could download the required recovery update and update it manually to at least 13.0.1. You can find the required update file in the following link.
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
POCO X3 Pro EEA Stable Recovery V13.0.1.0.SJUEUXM 12.0
This would be the correct file if you currently have 12.5.5 EEA installed.
Just Google how to manually flash a recovery update.
The exact version is 12.5.5.0 (RJUEUXM)
Is that the EU version?
The last security update is from Jan.
Is it normal to receive almost no security patches, and no new MIUI version?
Thanks!

Yes, that's the EU (EEA) version. The security updates are delivered around 4-5 times per year and MIUI updates always take a while outside China. In the case of Android 12 (MIUI 13), we were unlucky because those updates were pulled due to some bugs that I personally never noticed. For me, the 13.0.3 runs super stable, as did the 13.0.1 and 13.0.2 before.
Thanks for clarifying.
The Poco isn't my main phone, it's been sitting in drawer for a year. Meanwhile my midrange Samsung from +2years ago receives constant updates,, hence my surprise.
