the right TWRP for Oneplus X on OOS 3.1.4? - General Questions and Answers

Hey everyone,
I'm new and not sure where to put this so hope you forgive me or move it
I got the oneplus x 16gb "ONE E1003" with:
Android 6.0.1
OxygenOS 3.1.4
EDIT: I've successfully unlocked the bootloader with fastboot oem unlock by the way.
and I wanna root it. I've followed a root instruction video but ended up in bootloop and had to reflash the stock rom.
Now I searched better and found the suitable SuperSU for my model.
BUT I couldn't find a suitable twrp for my model / version. And If I found a link it was deleted.
Can you help me out please? :/

well thanks for nothing xda "developers"

[Q] Rooting Android 5.1 Procedure Questions

Hi everyone! Excuse my limited knowledge on this. I did not see any threads on this question that was specifically related to 5.1. So I just side loaded the zip file for 5.1 LMY47D to my UNrooted and Locked Nexus 5 yesterday. Before doing so I did a facotry reset, mainly to keep it a fresh install and minimize issues. I figured before redownloading all my apps and setting everything back up, I might as well go ahead and finally unlock and root. So my main question is rooting 5.1 going to be the same procedure as rooting 5.0.1? If it is not the same, then can someone point me in the direction of the most reliable instructions on rooting 5.1. I have not found any rooting instructions relating specifically to 5.1 that I would completely trust or that were pretty detailed.
Same method for old version ,
First unlock device , flash recovery via fastboot
"Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Download the latest root zip from chaunfire website or you can find the thread in forum , just flash it by recovery that already flashed ?
Thats all my friend nothing complicated

Thanks! Straight forward! Exactly the answer I was looking for. I thought it might be different since I know there was difference between rooting 4.4 and 5.0. Anyways Thanks I will start checking it out now!

Is the bootloader of OnePlus X E1003's bootloader unlockable? HELP PLS!!!

Hello!
I want to unlock my bootloader and root my phone to flash a custom ROM. I have many questions regarding this:
1. http://www.howtogeek.com/239798/how-to-unlock-your-android-phones-bootloader-the-official-way/ This link has instructions to unlock bootloader the official way. It is written there that bootloader of some specific models of some phones might not be unlockable, and it told me to check on XDA developers. So is OnePlus X E1003 Onyx's bootloader unlockable? If not, it is written that I will need to use the unofficial method given at XDA developers.
2. After unlocking my bootloader using ADB, fastboot and all that, do I need to flash a custom recovery like TWRP, CloCkworks mod, etc. ? If yes, pls tell me where to find it and how to flash it!!
3. Do I neet to root my device before flashing a custom ROM? Also, how to root my device manually using adb? Should I use apps like Kingroot for rooting my phone. If yes, pls suggest apps other than kingroot! and also tell me how to root manually using zipped files!
4. What is the safest and ideal way to flash a custom ROM? As OnePlus X hasn't yet received Marshmellow update, is it advisable to flash CM13? Is there any OxygenOS v 3.3 Rom for Oneplus x?? pls helP!!

Can only install official binaries message when flashing TWRP with Odin3 on A750FN U4

Hi, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to install a custom recovery. I had it working a couple months back but wanted to go with official again for dumb reasons and now i want to go back but it won't let me flash TWRP, i can't find a TWRP specifically for this version either. It's Android 10 with March security patch.
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks.
Please only create one thread per topic. I've removed the duplicate thread you started on this topic.
As far as your issue goes, I don't actually know much about Samsung specifics, but I believe that particular message means you haven't unlocked your bootloader. You'll need to do that before you can flash custom stuff.

Like I said, I'm not 100% on Samsung shenannigans, but have you checked to verify that you didn't lock the bootloader as a part of flashing the stock firmware?
OEM unlock toggle in Developer's Options
Hi ยก...
1. You have to reinstall via odin the latest version 9 (AP, BL...etc)
2. On reboot do the entire TWPR flashing process for android 9
The current problem is that there is no TWPR for android 10.
Cheers

Question OnePlus 9 Root Question

Hi folks,
Coming from a Redmi K20 Pro to a OP9 and want to root it.My device info says le2110 le25da and im running on OOS 11.2.5.5.
I know here are some threads about rooting but only for older OOS versions. My questions:
Can I chose every 11.2.5.5 boot.img I see here on the forum?
Does is matter what device I have and what .img I chose ? F.e. Can I flash any LE21X file I see?
Thanks in advanced !
Best,
Patrick
Edit: all good. Just unlocked bootloader. Booted from 11.2.5.5 patched img from this forum.

Yeah you be all good. Doesnt matter the boot.img file
You don't even need to flash the boot img. Just boot it then you make root permanent with magisk

I have the exact same phone as you.
I used this post to root: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rooting-oneplus-nord-2-ce-lite.4500297/
Didn't run into any problems
I have bricked this device (One Plus Nord CE 2 Lite) by flashing the unofficial twrp image for this device. Device bootloops in TWRP.
Previously, I had succesfully unlocked the bootloader and rooted this device by flashing the patched magisk boot.img by following the method mentioned in this post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rooting-oneplus-nord-2-ce-lite.4500297/)
How to restore the factory image and recover from this?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
....double post ...already answered
...bricking impossible

Sir, If you have patched magisk boot.img and blank vbmeta.img files on your pc used previously for rooting this device, this will save you your precious time.
Flash the files to their appropriate partitions, the device will overwrite the partitions and boot back with root access.
If you have updated the device after root and flashed magisk to inactive slot for saving root access after OTA the above method won't work.
Installed official version.
But i need twrp for this device.
Any one installed??
Sir, TWRP image available for this device is experimental, unstable and buggy.
There is a problem that occurs when you flash twrp if you are rooted.
After flashing the device bootloops into TWRP and won't boot into system OS even if it's forced to reboot.
Even without root if flashed, twrp cant flash or wipe any data.
On the screen the errors are shown in red.[failed to mount ' / ' ](Invalid Argument)
Let's wait until a stable image is available for this device in the near future.
Thank you .
I want pixel experience on nord ce 2 lte
If any one installed . Please guide me
...pixel experience doesn't work on Nord 2 CE devices ...none of the functions are compatible with this device ...I tried more than one configurations by myself ...the few things you can get working, like Contacts App or Messages App, you can manually download and install from APKmirror or other sources ...no need to "module" these little things
...I would like to change the boot animation, for example ...but to be honest, how often and how long do you see the boot up screen???
i again damaged the os.
This time every thing not working.
it boot loops to fastboot.
Any help ?? @DerDoktore
Is there any msmtool for nord ce 2 lte
...Bootloop to fastboot???? ...that is new to me ...I know the "system damaged" Screen and a traditional Bootloop ...does it "break" the loop at fastboot??? ...or do you see half a second the fastboot screen and restart and again???

Thanks bro, finally got my device back.
Installed Oxygen os 13 beta.
Could just follow the guide/s for the Nord N20 5G since it's basically the exact same device with a different touch panel...
